Abstract: A camera is provided that comprises an image sensor for detecting image data from a detection region and a reception optics arranged in front of the image sensor, a focus adjustment unit having a thread for changing the position of focus of the reception optics by way of a rotary movement and a front screen. In this connection the reception optics has a front region having an inner contour that is accessible via the front screen in order to rotate the reception optics from the outside in the thread and to thus adjust the focus.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a reusable physical financial instrument and a system and a method for enabling the financial instrument to perform multiple financial transactions. The financial instrument is capable of creating mixed reality experience when it comes in vicinity of the payor or payee device or ATM. Through the created mixed reality experience, the payor and the payee inputs payor-side and payee-side transaction and biometric data which are stored onto smart chip of the instrument and/or on Cloud Storage using cloud computing interface. Abstract: A labeling device includes a printer configured to print labels each having a barcode on a print side of the label opposite an adhesive side of the label. The printer is also configured to direct each printed label in a direction of travel. The device includes a label applicator located downstream of the printer with respect to the direction of travel. The device also includes a barcode scanner that is located downstream of the printer with respect to the direction of travel and is configured to scan the barcode of each label before the label applicator presses the label against the package.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a chip card module. According to this method, the following are produced: a module with a substrate having contacts and an electronic chip connected to at least some contacts; an antenna on a carrier, this antenna including two ends, each equipped with a connection land; a cavity in at least one layer of the card at least partially covering the carrier, in order to house the module and to expose the connection lands of the antenna; a first end of a wire is connected directly to a connection pad of the chip, and another portion is connected directly to a connection land of the antenna, after having inserted the module into the cavity.
Abstract: A substrate with a textured surface is disclosed. The substrate may be, for example, a light emitter comprising a light guide, for example a backlight element for use in a display device, wherein a surface of the light guide, for example a glass substrate, is configured to have a textured surface with a predetermined RMS roughness and a predetermined correlation length of the texture. A plurality of light scatter suppressing features can be provided on the textured surface. Textured surfaces disclosed herein may be effective to reduce electrostatic charging of the substrate surface. Methods of producing the textured surface are also disclosed.

The power source selector receives the amplified DC electrical signal and input from a primary power source and provides a power signal output. The audio signal detection circuitry receives the amplified DC electrical signal and transmits a wake-up signal to the power switch circuitry. The power switch circuitry is turned on by the wake-up signal and connects the power source selector to the peripheral electronic device main circuitry and transfers the power signal output to the peripheral electronic device main circuitry.

Abstract: A system and method to track time and attendance of an individual at a workplace is provided. The system includes a location tracking system that detects a presence of a portable electronic device carried by the individual, a time clock system that records clock-out registration time of the individual at the workplace, and a main controller. If the main controller receives an electronic communication indicative that the portable electronic device is located at a predefined break or non-work area, and if the main controller does not detect recording of the individual clock-out registration time at the time clock system, then main controller automatically causes an alert at the portable electronic device prompting the individual to transmit a feedback signal acknowledging need to record the clock-out registration time.
