Abstract: A method navigation of a list of content sharing platform media items on a client device via gesture controls and contextual synchronization is disclosed. The method includes providing, by an electronic device, a playlist for playback in a portion of a user interface (UI) of an application executed on the electronic device, wherein the playlist comprises a collection of media items streamed to the application on the electronic device. The method further include receiving an indication of a gesture made by a user of the electronic device with respect to the portion of the UI associated with the playback of the playlist and navigating media items of the playlist based on the received indication. The method also includes updating a viewing state associated with the playlist based on the navigating, the viewing state maintained for the user.

Abstract: A method of operating an icon display unit of a mobile terminal is provided. The method includes storing registered icons and configuration information, displaying an icon display unit on a screen of the mobile terminal within a movement range of a user's thumb according to the configuration information, the icon display unit having a predetermined shape, displaying one or more of the registered icons on the icon display unit and executing a particular icon on the icon display unit according to a first touch input applied to the particular icon. A mobile terminal is also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a display control unit, including a processor, configured to control a display to display a plurality of objects and receive a selection of one of the plurality of objects by a user as a selected object. The display control unit is configured to control the display to move the selected object when a move command is received from the user. The display control unit is configured to control the display to group additionally selected objects with the selected object when additional objects are selected by the user and a group command is received from the user. The display control unit is configured to control the display to independently move the additionally selected objects with respect to the selected object until the additionally selected objects are grouped with the selected object.

Abstract: Context based menus that can be dynamically positioned, laid out, and activated are provided for tap, swipe, and press-and-hold type interactions. Presenting a plurality of executable commands and/or links to submenus, a context based menu may be displayed in various shapes and forms in relation to selected content displayed on a user interface and/or other factors such as available display space, user attributes, and similar ones. Submenus presenting commands within a category may be displayed in place of, adjacent to, or overlapping with a parent context based menu. Menu position, contents, and/or shape may be adjusted in response to changes in selected content, user contact location, changes in user interface, and the like.

Abstract: Display data in a data graphical user interface (GUI) on a display device and display, by a processor, a control GUI on the display device representing the data. The control GUI includes a range defining visual element, corresponding to a data value, that is moveable via input received by the control GUI and defines two ranges of the data. The processor displays indicia associated with the range defining visual element indicating the corresponding data value. The processor receives input from the control GUI indicating the range defining visual element has been moved. In response, the processor visually emphasizes data in the data GUI having data values in a selected one of the defined data range.

Abstract: Instantiable gesture object techniques are described in which native gesture functionality is abstracted to applications using a script-based recognition interface. Gesture objects may be instantiated for different interaction contexts at the direction of applications programmed using dynamic scripting languages. Gesture objects can be configured to designate particular touch contacts and/or other inputs to consider for gesture recognition and a target element of content to which corresponding recognized gestures are applicable. After creation, gesture objects manage gesture processing operations on behalf of the applications including creating recognizers with the native gesture system, feeding input data for processing, and transforming raw gesture data into formats appropriate for the application and/or a target element. Accordingly, script-based applications may use the gesture objects to offload processing tasks associated with gesture recognition and take advantage of native gesture functionality.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for graphical display of hierarchical hardlinks to files in a file system that includes identifying multiple hardlinks for a file, wherein a hardlink comprises a link to a file directly mapping the file into a namespace; displaying relationships among the multiple hardlinks and the file; and providing an option to modify the hardlinks to the file via a button, including: following a pointer from the file having multiple hardlinks to a list of hardlinks to the file by following a Master Hardlink Pointer which is contained in the file and provides a pointer to the hardlink list for the file.

Abstract: Example systems and methods of configuring and displaying a model-based user interface are described. In one implementation, a method receives a request to configure a process model, the process model having an object type. A configuration rule associated with the object type is accessed, and a configuration instruction is received. The configuration instruction is analyzed based on the configuration rule, and if the configuration instruction is valid then the object type is modified based on the instruction. The process model is updated based on the modified object type. In another implementation, a method receives a request to display instance data of a process model, where the process model has an object type associated with the instance data. A structure rule determining placement of the instance data is accessed, and a user interface to display the instance data is generated based on the structure rule.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for receiving a plurality of play events associated with a sporting event, wherein each play event of the plurality of play events comprises a timestamp; for each of the play events, associating the play event with a sports team of a plurality of sports teams; for each of the play events, associating with the play event a particular icon from among a plurality of different icons based, at least in part, on the sports team that is associated with the play event; causing to display a bar in a graphical user interface of a mobile computing device, wherein the bar represents at least a portion of a time duration of the sporting event; for each of the play events, causing to display the particular icon at a position in the bar, wherein the position is based, at least in part, on the timestamp of the event.

Abstract: A method of storing log entries of events from a plurality of network elements in a communication network, comprising the steps of: a) receiving log entries at a control processor of events from a plurality of different elements positioned, the log entries grouped into threads based on a common purpose; b) converting each log entry into a compact log record in a logging module, and c) storing the compact log records in a first memory buffer in random access memory (RAM) forming a first log file.

Abstract: A user interface for rotating imagery among a plurality of canonical views of a geographic area of interest is disclosed. The interface includes at least one rotation control icon for rotating the imagery among a plurality of canonical views of the geographic area, and a direction indicating portion that indicates a compass direction associated with the canonical view presented on the display device. In particular implementations, the interface can be configured to come into view over the imagery whenever a user navigates to a particular view of the imagery where a plurality of canonical views is available. The motion of the navigation control interface appearing into the imagery is intended to draw attention to the control interface to inform the user that additional canonical views are available.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a program that creates a composite media presentation from several media clips. The program creates an audition set for a particular location in a composite display area for placing media clips to specify a description of the composite media presentation. The program adds to the audition set several different types of media clips that are candidates for placement in the composite display area at the particular location. The program iteratively selects a different media clip in the audition set as the only committed media clip in the audition set to include in the composite media presentation.

Abstract: A wireless communication device comprises a wireless communication interface, a processing system, and a user interface. The wireless communication interface is configured to wirelessly receive a mixed media signal comprising a plurality of audio streams originating from different source devices. The processing system is configured to isolate the audio streams and generate graphical representations of each one of the audio streams. The user interface is configured to display the graphical representations of each one of the audio streams and receive audio stream modification instructions from a user. The processing system is configured to process the audio stream modification instructions to generate at least one modified audio stream based on the audio stream modification instructions. The user interface is configured to display a graphical representation of the modified audio stream and audibly output a modified mixed media signal comprising the modified audio stream.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices and methods for providing integrated content recommendations in a graphical user-interface GUI). Specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure employ a recommendation request from a client running a GUI for content recommendations formatted to fit within the GUI. An external component determines the recommendations, formats the recommendations to match a layout/look and feel of the GUI and the formatted recommendations are presented in the GUI as an integrated component of the GUI.

Abstract: A display system includes a screen panel, an input unit, a switch section, and a resizing section. The screen panel switches a display mode between a window selection mode and a function selection mode. The input unit includes an input panel arranged apart from the screen panel, and defines an arrangement of input regions corresponding to an arrangement of display windows displayed in the window selection mode of the screen panel. When a target input region is manipulated, the switch section sets the target input region as a selected input region, and the resizing section enlarges a size of the selected input region and rearranges an enlarged selected input region on the input panel.

Abstract: A user interface control for scrolling a display of computer program data during retrieval of computer program data includes a track, a bar overlying the track, and a thumb button movable along the bar to scroll the displayed data. The size of the track indicates the total amount of data being retrieved, and the size of the bar varies to indicate the progress of the data retrieval. Thus, the ratio of the size of the bar to that of the track indicates the ratio of available to total data. The computer program data is displayed in a display area allocated to the computer program, and the size of the thumb button (compared to a corresponding size of the track) indicates the ratio of the amount of data displayed in the display area to the total amount of data being retrieved.

Abstract: A user wanting to enter text via a computing device can start entering characters for that text. A text suggestion algorithm can be used to attempt to predict the text the user is typing, and provide options for completing the text entry. Information such as the type of suggestion and common roots for those suggestions can be used to group at least some of the suggestions. An interface element with a spatial layout can be provided to display at least a portion of the suggestions, where the suggestions are arranged according to their relative confidence values and the determined groupings. The font values for each of the displayed suggestions can also be set using the confidence values, such that more likely terms can be displayed with a larger and/or more prominent font in order to allow the user to more easily locate the correct suggestion.

Abstract: Techniques are presented herein to enable a first device participating in a conference session to adapt its displayed content being shared from a second device that has a larger display and can therefore display a larger area of content than the first device is capable of displaying. The first device has a first display and displays a portion of content being displayed on a second display of the second device that is being shared with the first device during an online conference session. The first device detects when a first change has occurred in the content that is outside of the portion displayed on the first display. A graphical element is displayed on the first display, the graphical element indicating that the first change has occurred in the content outside of the portion being displayed on the first device.

Abstract: A capture system may capture client events for an application session. Some client events may contain display information associated with screen gestures. The screen gestures may be associated with any user input that changes how images are displayed during the application session. For example, the screen gestures may comprise one or more of a scroll gesture, a touch start gesture, a touch move gesture, a touch end gesture, and/or a pinch gesture. In another example the screen gesture may comprise a reorientation of a device operating in the application session. A replay system may replay the application session based on the captured client events to recreate images displayed during the application session in response to the screen gestures.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves a method of improving one-handed operation of a mobile computing device. A first visual content is displayed on a screen of the mobile computing device. The first visual content occupies a substantial entirety of a viewable area of the screen. While the first visual content is being displayed, an action performed by a user to the mobile computing device is detected. The first visual content is scaled down in response to the detected action and displayed on the screen. The scaled-down first visual content occupies a fraction of the viewable area of the screen. A user interaction with the scaled-down first visual content is then detected. In response to the user interaction, a second visual content is displayed on the screen. The second visual content is different from the first visual content and occupies a substantial entirety of the viewable area of the screen.
