Abstract: Techniques are presented herein for improving experiences in online meetings that include a plurality of attendee devices, where an attendee device is designated as a presenter. Shared content is provided from the presenter to at least one other attendee device engaged in the online meeting, and an indicator is automatically provided to at least one attendee device regarding whether a condition associated with the presenter providing the shared content has been satisfied.

Abstract: A multi-media conferencing system that integrates visual, audio, independent data interaction and modification, collaboration of information, independent video and 3D model viewing and manipulation, and networking among all participants in the meeting. Each participant conference display typically shows two content sectors under the control of the presenter and a selectable number of other content sectors under the control of the participant. The presenter conference display selectively includes a presenter dashboard for managing the presentation. Each content sector on the participant and attendee conference displays may be enlarged to full screen or reduced to a sector display or an icon with a simple command. The system also includes geo-location display functionality, participant monitoring, attendee chat functionality, and a wide range of additional functionality under the control of the conference presenter and attendees.

Abstract: A game exposing method and system is provided. The game exposing method includes displaying a game web site in a first folder of a file manager application of a user terminal; and displaying a game provided from the game web site in a second folder of the file manager application. Accordingly, it is possible to easily access the game portal web site and the game pages to play the games while operating in the file manager application.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a device includes a touch screen display and a controller. The touch screen display displays a first screen. The first screen is a lock screen including an object arranged thereon. The controller changes a direction of the object according to an operation to the object. The controller is configured to turn the first screen to a second screen depending on a content of the operation made to the object. The second screen being a screen other than the lock screen.

Abstract: Methods and systems for presenting multiple images of entities associated with media items in a media list are provided. A method may include identifying a first entity associated with a first media item in a media list. The first media item may be associated with a first time period. A second entity associated with a second media item may be identified in the media list. The second media item may be associated with a second time period. Next, from a database of entity images, a first image of the first entity may be selected based on the first time period and a second image of the second entity may be selected based on the second time period. As a result, the first image and the second image may be presented in an interface during activation of the media list.

Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium, and computer-implemented method for automatic discovery of how and when people met is provided. A plurality of signals are analyzed to determine a level of significance of each of the plurality of signals in providing a suggested entry into a data field of a contact management system designated to provide a description of how a user met a contact. In response to at least one signal of the plurality of signals exceeding a threshold level of significance, a suggested entry for the data field of the contact management system is determined. The suggested entry of how a user met a contact is automatically displayed to a user.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a graphical user interface to be displayed on a display apparatus, the graphical user interface comprising an addressable window which is assigned to a selectable object, where the window has a list with a plurality of buttons, where there is assigned to each button an action of a particular type in relation to the object assigned to the window, where there is assigned to one button a formation action which can be performed with elements from a plurality of element types, where the performance of the formation action requires the selection of the number of elements to be used for the formation action from a maximum number of elements for at least one element type. A further formation action can be assigned to a further button, where the element types and the number of elements to be used for the further formation action are determined by the element types and elements used in the last performed formation action.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to provide a method and system for targeting individuals and providing a reference to a discussion in a discussion forum. A method is described herein that allows a user of an integrated discussion forum interface to initiate the generation of a direct, navigable reference to a thread or message in the discussion forum to one or more targeted individuals. By generating a direct, navigable reference to the thread or message, the system may advantageously facilitate the directed solicitation of targeted individuals while leveraging the accessibility, reusability, and available knowledge base of a traditional public forum.

Abstract: A system for displaying images associated with a received electronic message concurrently displays the received electronic message, a view-all-images icon and a respective view icon for each image of a plurality of images attached to the received electronic message as a plurality of distinct attachments. In response to a single user selection of the view-all-images icon, where the user selection of the view-all-images icon is made while the received electronic message and the view-all-images icon are concurrently displayed, the system fetches from a document storage system a single document containing the plurality of images and display the plurality of images contained in the document. In response to user selection of the view icon for a respective image attached to the received electronic message, the system displays the respective image.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for utilizing scrolling fixation. An amount of time a user spends on a portion of a page based on scroll bar usage by the user is monitored. The amount of time the user spends on the portion of the page is aggregated with an amount of time at least one other user spent on that portion of the page based on scroll bar usage by the at least one other user. A scroll bar is displayed with at least one indicator, wherein the at least one indicator represents an aggregated amount of time spent on an associated portion of the page.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for utilizing scrolling fixation. An amount of time a user spends on a portion of a page based on scroll bar usage by the user is monitored. The amount of time the user spends on the portion of the page is aggregated with an amount of time at least one other user spent on that portion of the page based on scroll bar usage by the at least one other user. Abstract: Methods and systems present commands to a user within a software application program by determining the user's context within the application program and automatically presenting in a user interface commands that pertain to the user's current context. When the user's context changes, the context-sensitive commands are automatically removed from the user interface. In one implementation context blocks and context panes are employed to present the commands.

Abstract: Providing a mechanism for removal of icons from a dock in response to user input is disclosed. A dock is generated for display in a user interface, the dock comprising a region of the user interface in which one or more icons are presented. An input is received for selecting an icon presented in the dock, the icon associated with an original position in the user interface. A visual indicator of a particular distance to drag the icon before the icon will be removed from the dock is generated for display. A second input for releasing the icon at a second position in the user interface is received. The icon is removed from the dock if a distance between the second position and the original position is within a predefined range of the particular distance.

In addition, a first input that has a first proximity within a range of predetermined first proximities with respect to the switch indicator is received at a processor operably connected to the graphical user interface. In addition, a second portion of the data file based on the first input is displayed at the graphical user interface. Further, a second input that has a second proximity within a range of predetermined second proximities with respect to the switch indicator is received at the processor. The range of predetermined second proximities is distinct from the range of first predetermined proximities. In addition, the graphical user interface displays a subset of the second portion of the data file based on the second input.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for displaying desired icons on an applicable area on a screen of a navigation system by a character and symbol drawing that is hand-written by a user on the screen. The method includes the steps of: evaluating a character & symbol drawing that is hand-written by the user to determine a category of the icons intended by the user; determining an applicable area on the map image for applying an icon display operation based on the character & symbol drawing; checking a prescribed data table based on the category of the icons and the applicable area selected by the character & symbol; and changing the manner of displaying the icons with respect to the category and applicable area determined by the foregoing process.

Abstract: A category search method and a mobile device adapted thereto are provided. The mobile device includes a display unit for displaying screens according to a search function, and a controller. The controller controls the display unit to output a first search bar of higher category items, according to a first touch event that occurs on a certain area of the display unit, and a second search bar including lower category items of an item on the first search bar where a second touch event occurs.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for implementing gesture command recognition functionality is disclosed. The apparatuses may operate in a pointing mode and operate in an enhanced gesturing mode. While in the enhanced gesturing mode, the apparatuses may cause associated actions in response to recognizing sliding inputs as gesture commands. The gesture commands may be selectively associated with actions based on localities. The apparatuses may present overlays with information content independent of gesture command recognition. The apparatuses may change appearances of visual representations of sliding inputs in response to recognizing the sliding inputs as gesture commands.

Abstract: The paper discloses a system including a multi-source content acquisition engine configured to provide an instruction to launch an editor window to display a set of selectable content from user-generated content generated by a plurality of remote sources and stored in a content datastore. The system includes a multi-source content selection configured to identify a set of selected content from the set of selectable content. The system includes an integrated content arrangement engine configured to arrange the set of selected content into a multi-sourced journal content sequence. The system includes a layer integration engine configured to apply a layer from the layer datastore to a portion of the multi-sourced journal content sequence. The system includes a multi-source content launch engine configured to provide an instruction to display an integrated multi-sourced journal content sequence including the multi-sourced journal content sequence and the layer in the editor window.

Abstract: A system and method for managing to-do list task items provides a user interface having user interface elements for allowing the user to add one or more task items to a to-do list, for allowing the user to edit one or more fields associated with a task item added to the to-do list, and for allowing the user to designate a task item within the to-do list as completed whereupon the designated task item is placed into a completed list and removed from the to-do list. Within the system, a task item is defined by at least a title, a description, a due date, and a tag. The tags provide a means for the task items to be organized within lists as well as within the system to, for example, allow task items to be shared, searched on, and the like.

Abstract: System and method for model based session management. A session including a set of interactions with an application and screens produced by the application may be recorded. A model of an application may be obtained, the model including a plurality of screenshots related to screens and related transition information. A set of screenshots and events related to a set of screens included in the session may be received. A difference between a received screenshot and a screenshot included in the model may be determined and the session may be recorded by recording the difference.
