  • Patent number: 7247359
Abstract: A tubular casing for use with food products which includes knitted stockinette, longitudinal threads and circumferential spiral threads that are held to stockinette by stitches located along the length of the casing. Each thread comprises an elastic thread formed from an inextensible yarn spirally wrapped around the outside of a rubber thread. As thread is stretched, the rubber thread extends and the helix angle of the spirally wrapped yarn reduces to the point where the yarn approximates a straight line. The inextensible yarn resists further stretching beyond this point. This point is the elastic limit for thread and it can be adjusted by varying the helix angle during manufacture of the elastic thread. Threads therefore allow the casing to be filed to a predetermined maximum diameter and result in the filled casing having a constant diameter throughout its length.

  • Patent number: 7220475
Abstract: The present invention provides a polishing sheet that can secure a flatness of a material to be polished and can improve a polishing efficiency. A polishing pad 1 has a polyurethane sheet 2 made of polyurethane resin. The polyurethane sheet 2 has large cells 3 with a generally triangular sectional configuration rounded along a thickness direction thereof. Polyurethane resin exists in the polyurethane sheet 2 in a partition wall manner and fine foams 4 are formed in the polyurethane resin. Fine particles 5 added during manufacture of the polyurethane sheet 2 exist inside some of the fine foams 4 and the fine particles 5 are separable from the fine foams. By separating off fine particles positioned at a polishing face P by dummy polishing or the like, fine foams which evenly reserve a polishing liquid containing abrasive particles are formed at the polishing face P.

  • Patent number: 7214417
Abstract: When a molded portion of a weather strip is molded, a slit, from which a core body is taken out, is formed in a mounting base portion thereof. Also, plural blocking pieces are provided at predetermined intervals along the slit. Each of the blocking pieces has a base piece portion formed in such a way as to extend from a mounting-face side of the mounting base portion, and also has an insertion portion, which is integrally formed with the base piece portion, and a lock portion to be locked on an inner surface of the mounting base portion. After the core body is taken out of a molded portion precursor, the base piece portion of each of the blocking pieces is bent around a part thereof continuously connected to the mounting base portion, so that the insertion portion is fitted into the slit, and that the lock portion is locked on the inner surface of the molded portion precursor, which faces a hollow portion. Thus, the molded portion is obtained.

  • Mat
    Patent number: 7211314
Abstract: An improved mat is disclosed. Long and short legs support the mat and cause it to feel resilient although it is fabricated from hard rubber. The mat has drain holes on vertical surfaces. Ribs prevent the mat from embedding within grating. Grit is selectively placed upon the mat and physically supported. Adhesive for bonding the grit is retained by retention lips. Also disclosed is a process for creating drain holes on vertical surfaces of mats by attaching a grooving tool to a robot and programming the robot to cut through molded mat channels to create the desired drain holes. An additional process uses the robot to selectively place adhesive upon the mat. An adhesive dispenser is attached to the robot and the robot is appropriately programmed.
