  • Patent number: 11005766
Abstract: In an approach to improve online path profiling by identifying heavy trafficked paths in streaming applications embodiments track data tuples through a streaming application. Embodiments consist of periodically executing a tuple submission application programming interface (API) and a tuple processing API. Additionally, embodiments record active paths using a profiler thread by taking snapshots of a current path index across threads. Furthermore, embodiments generate path usage information based on the recorded active path, generate a path usage graph based on the path usage information; and optimize identified trafficked paths based on the path usage data and path usage map.

  • Patent number: 10992490
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for controlling playback and/or recording of media assets at a media device based on the state of a secondary device. Specifically, while displaying a media asset, a media device receives a signal from the secondary device indicating a change of state of the secondary device. The media device displays a notification of the signal, and the user can interact with the notification. If the user interacts with the notification for more than a threshold amount of time, the media device may begin recording the media asset. Once the user has finished interacting with the notification, the media device may stop recording and the user can see content that they may have missed by reviewing the recorded portion of the media asset.

  • Patent number: 10970354
Abstract: A method for increasing interaction speed between a website and a client device includes storing on an HTML5 local storage database on the client an ECMAScript file and a parameter from a web server of the website, and subsequently comparing a web server version number of the ECMAScript from the web server with the local version number of the parameter stored on the HTML5 local storage database. The parameter specifies a local version number of the ECMAScript file. The method can also include updating the ECMAScript stored on the HTML5 local storage database with the ECMAScript file from the web server when the web server version number is greater than the local version number. The method can also include loading the website on the client by retrieving the ECMAScript file from the HTML5 local storage database. Retrieving the ECMAScript file from the HTML5 local storage database can occur when the web server version number is the same as the local version number.

  • Patent number: 10924424
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program product embodiments are disclosed for processing and displaying multiple signals in near real-time. An embodiment operates by processing, using a first digital signal processor (DSP) of a first signal module, a first packet associated with a first signal. The embodiment also processes, using a second DSP of a second signal module, a second packet associated with a second signal. The embodiment equalizes a first processing delay associated with the first DSP with a second processing delay associated with the second DSP such that the first DSP completes processing of the first packet approximately simultaneously with the second DSP completing processing of the second packet. The embodiment then displays the processed first packet approximately simultaneously with the display of the processed second packet.

  • Patent number: 10887387
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and application for digital media that allows users to share a media playlist and synchronize playing for all connected users. The user browses their device for media files to create a playlist, and then hosts the playlist over an existing local area network or creates a Wi-Fi hotspot. The playlist may be encrypted to provide a form of digital rights management. Other users are then prompted to download the playlist and send the host a calculated playback delay. Once all users have completed downloading the playlist the hosting user is prompted to press play, pushing timing information that takes into account the largest delay to all connected users via the active local area network, resulting in all devices playing the media in synchronicity for the duration of the playlist. Additional users may opt in during playback and use the timing information to synchronize their devices' playback.
