Abstract: A method for the X-ray inspection of products of a predefined product type including at least one first component and one second component having different absorption coefficients for X-radiation. X-radiation with a spectral range is transmitted through a product to be examined. The X-radiation that has passed through the product is detected by means of a spectrally resolving X-ray detector. • Patent number: 11471702
Abstract: A tool for radiation therapy simulation or planning is disclosed which aids in avoiding collisions during treatment. Configurations of components including at least a radiation delivery device (30) and a patient (32) are generated. Each configuration defines positions of the components in a common coordinate system. For each configuration, proximities of pairs of components of the configuration are computed using ray tracing between three-dimensional surface models (30m, 32m, 36m, 38m) representing the components of the pair. A collision is identified as any pair of components having a computed proximity that is less than a margin for the pair of components. Each identified collision is displayed on a display (12), e.g. as a rendering. The simulations or planning may be used to verify deliverability of arc, 4Pi, or static therapy, to determine safety margins for collisions, to calculate and display realizable trajectories, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 11458336
Abstract: A neutron capture therapy system includes an accelerator for generating a charged particle beam, a neutron generator for generating a neutron beam having neutrons after irradiation by the charged particle beam, and a beam shaping assembly for shaping the neutron beam. The beam shaping assembly includes a moderator and a reflecting assembly surrounding the moderator. The neutron generator generates the neutrons after irradiation by the charged particle beam. The moderator moderates the neutrons generated by the neutron generator to a preset energy spectrum. The reflecting assembly includes a plurality of reflectors configured to guide deflected neutrons back to the neutron beam and a supporting member to support the plurality of reflectors. A lead-antimony alloy is for the reflecting assembly to mitigate a creep effect that occurs when only a lead material is for the plurality of reflectors, thereby improving the structural strength of a beam shaping assembly.
