  • Patent number: 11836570
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for optimizing the placement, size, scannability, and effectiveness of optical labels, such as 2D barcodes or machine-readable labels like QR codes, on a specified medium. The system comprises a set of servers configured to execute an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm, a set of user devices, and a database. The AI algorithm analyzes uploaded images of intended mediums for optical label placement, determines optimal placement, size, and orientation of the optical labels, and calculates individual scores for visibility, scannability, and likelihood of being noticed by potential users for each suggestion, then combines these into an overall readability score. The invention offers a user-friendly, efficient, and objective approach to optimizing optical label placement that is particularly effective for addressing considerations for physical object mediums.

  • Patent number: 11831359
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to dynamically and temporarily adjusting power to an NFC reader of a computing device from a first power level to a second power level based on a feedback mechanism between a contactless card and the computing device. The contactless card may provide a message containing a checksum. The computing device may receive the message and calculate a checksum based on the received message. By comparing these two checksums, it may be determined whether the entire message has been correctly received. If not, the power to the NFC reader may be temporarily increased to allow better communication between the contactless card and the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11810403
Abstract: Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for managing parking monitoring and enforcement. Parking at a meter or in a parking lot or ramp can be provided as a subscription. A registration and verification process for the subscription service can be provided as a multi-step process that combines the smart parking meter with a QR code, a mobile parking app for a smartphone, a central parking management system, and digital images of the parked vehicle(s). The registration process verifies that only vehicles owned by the subscriber are associated with the subscriber's account. Steps can also be employed to ensure that subscribers are not incorrectly issued parking citations by determining whether license plate data for a vehicle initially determined to be in violation matches an active subscription parker's roster of registered vehicles.
