Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for temporarily hiding user interface (“UI”) elements, such as application windows or tabs. A request can be received to hide a UI element for a specified period of time. When such a request is received, the UI element is hidden and an identifier corresponding to the UI element is moved from a first area of a taskbar to a second area of the taskbar. The application presenting the UI element can be configured for reduced consumption of computing resources while the UI element is hidden. Additionally, notifications associated with the UI element can be disabled while the UI element is hidden. When the specified period of time to hide the UI element has elapsed, the UI element is once again displayed. Additionally, the identifier corresponding to the UI element is moved from the second area of the taskbar back to the first area of the taskbar.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for delivery/read receipts for electronic messaging are disclosed. During one-on-one electronic messaging sessions in a conversation view format, only a single read receipt is shown only for the most recent message transmitted in the conversation. In some implementations, a delivery receipt is shown which then can be replaced or morphed into a read receipt. In a group conversation, a read receipt can be displayed for the recipient who most recently caught up in the ongoing conversation.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The method computer program products, and systems can include, for instance: obtaining an audio input, the audio input representing sound emanating from a key press based user interface; generating a context pattern based on the audio input; performing classification of the context pattern to classify the context pattern as belonging to a signature pattern classification, wherein the signature pattern classification specifies a user activity; and providing an output based on the performing classification.

Abstract: Systems and processes for manipulating a graphical user interface are disclosed. One process can include receiving user input through a crown to rotate a virtual object. The process includes selecting a surface of the object from among the multiple surfaces of the object in response to determining that the crown rotation exceeded a speed threshold.

The memory stores processor executable instructions for a workflow recommendation assistant engine. The processor is coupled to the memory. The processor executes the workflow recommendation assistant engine to cause the computing device to analyze images of a user interface corresponding to user activity, execute a pattern matching of the images with respect to existing automations, and provide a prompt indicating that an existing automation matches the user activity.

The method includes determining whether to present a widget over a display of a user, where the display has at least a portion of a page that is visible to a user. The page has a second widget, and the determining is based on an estimated likelihood that the user will reach the second widget. The widget is configured to present in the display one or more content cards. Upon determining that the estimated likelihood is below a first threshold, the widget is displayed over the display of the user. The estimated likelihood of the user is dynamically adjusted based on interactions with the page to provide an adjusted estimated likelihood. If the adjusted estimated likelihood of the user is above a second threshold, the widget may be removed from the display.

Abstract: A method executes at a computing device having a display, processors, and memory. The device displays a user interface for a data preparation application, including icons in a flow element palette, each icon representing a parameterized operation that can be inserted into data preparation flows in a flow pane of the user interface. A user places icons into the flow pane, visually defining flow elements for a flow that extracts data from selected data sources, transforms the extracted data, and exports the transformed data. The device retrieves the version number of a corresponding server application running on a server. Using a feature matrix, the device determines which flow elements are not supported by the data prep server application according to the version number. When there are flow elements not supported by the data prep server application running on the server, the device indicates this to the user.
