Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method and system for repairing a blade for a turbomachine that has been damaged due to foreign object impact. Machine learning algorithms are used to determine an amount of material to be removed from one or more damage locations and determine an amount of material addition to the damaged portion(s) and/or at other locations on the blade to keep the natural frequencies of the repaired blade within design limits during operation.

Abstract: A system and method for securing an item. Custom connectors which only couple to a custom converter can secure an item, deter its theft, and prevent unauthorized access. The custom connectors have a custom head which has a custom void. The custom void has a unique shape which matches and couples with a custom converter. A custom converter allows the custom connector to be manipulated. If desired, subsequently, when the item is in a more secure location, conventional screws can replace the item.

The unit main body is joined to the seal through a plasticized region, and a void is defined in the peripheral wall portion of the unit main body.
Abstract: A method and system for creating a hybrid tensile member combining a synthetic fiber cable and a rigid rod. An anchor is attached to one or more ends of the synthetic cable. The anchor is used to connect an end of the fiber cable to a length of conventional rod, preferably through the use of a swaging operation. Each rod segment includes a standard end feature on its free end—such as a threaded shaft or J-bend. The hybrid assembly can preferably be retrofitted to applications that now use a conventional rod.
Abstract: A line assembly for installation in an aircraft fuselage includes a first line section having a first diameter, a second line section having a second diameter, a set of first line brackets, and a set of second line brackets. The first line brackets include a first receiving space configured to hold the first line section and a first support portion for attaching the first line brackets to a fuselage structural part. The second line brackets include a second receiving space configured to hold the second line section and a second support portion for attaching the second line brackets to the first line section. The second line section includes a higher flexibility than the first line section. The second line section is attached to the first line section through a plurality of second line brackets arranged at a distance to and independent from the first line brackets.

Abstract: A method for hot forming a semifinished product in sheet form for a motor vehicle component. The method includes heating the semifinished product to be formed in a heating process and forming the heated semifinished product in a shaping forming process. During the heating process the semifinished product undergoes an input of heat from at least one heat source. During the heating of the semifinished product, a shielding device is arranged between the heat source and the semifinished product, such that the semifinished product is thermally shielded at least in certain portions in such a way that a first semifinished-product portion is heated differently than a second semifinished-product portion.

Abstract: A device for fixing a nut to an inner surface of a pipe member having a small inner diameter is provided. Abstract: An assembly module, an assembly apparatus, and a method of operating the assembly module are introduced. The assembly module includes a first assembly die, a second assembly die and at least one engagement die. The first assembly die has a plurality of first fitting portions. Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a mass portion, and a body portion. A back wall of the body portion comprises an upper back wall portion, a lower back wall portion, a center portion, and a port below the center portion configured to receive the mass portion. A face portion is coupled to a front portion and includes a plurality of front grooves and a plurality of back grooves. A minimum thickness of the face portion is defined by a distance between a bottom of one of the front grooves of the plurality of front grooves and a bottom of an opposing one of the back groove portions of the plurality of back groove portions. Abstract: There is provided a system to install and remove an anchoring member on an anchorage structure in an overhead area. The system has a pole for providing access to the overhead area. The system further has a positioning arm for attachment to the pole. The positioning arm has a first end, and a second end offset from the first end. The positioning arm further has an elongated body having an outboard portion and an inboard portion, a recessed area formed in the outboard portion, and a dogleg shaped portion formed along the inboard portion. The system further has a safety hook assembly for attachment to the pole. The safety hook assembly has a hook end, and a safety latch mechanism having a safety latch engageable with the hook end. The safety latch mechanism is remotely operated by an operator, via a pull cord attached to the safety latch mechanism.

Abstract: A method and system of attaching rivets to secure sheets of paper together. The rivets have a head, a recess, a skirt and a tail. A tool is configured so that the tail fits through a hole in the tool. Before the tail is inserted into the hole in the tool, the tail is inserted through two holes in the paper(s) and then in the hole in the tool. Pressure is placed on the paper by pressing downward on the tool thereby causing the paper(s) to snap into the recess, thereby securing both pieces of paper together.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mounting jig and a mounting method. The mounting jig is configured to mount a wall-hanging piece on a wall. At least two grooves configured to fix the wall-hanging piece are disposed on the wall hanging piece. The mounting jig includes at least two positioning structures. A spacing between the positioning structures is equal to a spacing between the grooves corresponding to the positioning structures.

The transverse vibration rolling system includes: a first roll, a second roll, a first hydraulic vibrator, a second hydraulic vibrator, a first hydraulic motor, a second hydraulic motor, a check valve, a first hydraulic pump, a first overflow valve, an oil tank, a controller, a second overflow valve, a second hydraulic pump, an electromagnetic reversing valve, a first speed control valve, and a second speed control valve. The transverse vibration of the rolls of the present invention can apply transverse shearing force on the ultra-thin metal strips during the bond rolling.

Abstract: A form-shapable tarpaulin material incorporates a malleable component that enables the form-shapable tarpaulin material to be shaped into a formed shape and retain this shape. The malleable component may be coupled to a first side layer which may be a plastic layer that is waterproof. The malleable component may be continuous or discontinuous, such as including strands that form a screen or net. The malleable component may be configured between a first side layer and a second side layer, or sandwiched between these two layers. A form-shapable tarpaulin material may have a drape angle of no more than 25 degrees.
Abstract: A method may include positioning one or more PV module mounting devices along a length of a structural component. The method may include specifying one or more parameters related to fastening the PV module mounting devices to the structural component, the one or more parameters indicating a spacing between the PV module mounting devices. The method may include fastening, by an automated attachment equipment, the PV module mounting devices to the structural component based on the specified parameters and moving the PV module mounting devices fastened to the structural component to an assembly platform.
