  • Patent number: 10706659
Abstract: A computing system can receive a pick-up request for a transport service from a requesting user within a given region. Based at least in part on the requesting user being within the given region, the computing system can transmit match code data corresponding to a match code to the computing device of the requesting user. The computing system may then receive input data indicating the match code from a computing device of an available driver, signifying that the available driver is to provide the transport service for the requesting user, and update a status for the requesting user to indicate that the transport service is being provided by the available driver for the requesting user.

  • Patent number: 10699229
Abstract: Described herein, is a method for user segmentation for cost-based deployment of enterprise infrastructure. According to an implementation, for each of the users, a user fingerprint (UFP) score set comprising rating scores that quantify levels of enterprise-level needs of the each user is determined. For each of deployment solutions of the enterprise, a deployment fingerprint (DFP) score set comprising rating scores that quantify levels of capabilities of the each deployment solution enabled to meet enterprise-level needs of the users is determined. The users are grouped into user segments based on the UFP score sets of the users. A definition of each of the user segments is determined. The definition is indicative of a user whose enterprise-level needs define characteristics of the corresponding user segment. A number of user segments is found based on a cost associated with the deployment solutions for the user segments.

  • Patent number: 10586216
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for determining a user work schedule. A user may seldom update actual work hours, such as within a calendar, to reflect an actual schedule of the user, which may result in erroneous information being exposed to services that may notify other users as to when the user is inside or outside work hours. Accordingly, user signals (e.g., a current device location, execution of a work-related app, access to a work VPN, participation in a conference call from home, etc.) may be evaluated to generate a set of user activity patterns that may be indicative of recurring work patterns of the user. A user work schedule for the user may be determined based upon the set of user activity patterns. The user work schedule may be used to modify user interfaces (e.g., a conferencing website, a phone app, etc.) exposed to other users.

  • Patent number: 10572842
Abstract: A service provider system may implement a notification service that manages actionable notification messages received from other services on behalf of a customer organization and its end users. An IT administrator of the customer organization may create and configure message inboxes to be maintained by the notification service. The messages stored in each inbox may be partitioned by source, type, targeted (authorized) recipients, or an associated message topic. Each message may include an identifier of the inbox to which it is directed, and active elements that, when selected by a recipient, cause a corresponding action to be performed. The service from which a message is received may, in response to a message recipient taking one of the available actions, submit a request to the notification service to update the message state. The notification service may provide APIs through which the other services and message recipients interact with the notification service.

  • Patent number: 10565534
Abstract: A service provider system may implement an enterprise catalog service that manages software products and portfolios of software products on behalf of service provider customer organizations. Through an administrator interface of the service, a customer organization administrator may create constraints on the use of the software products, and each constraint may include one or more rules about how the products can be launched. These may include environmental constraints (specifying a region in which a product launches), restrictions on input parameter values (including the types of resource instances on which a product can be launched), quotas (controlling the number of product installations), or billing constraints. Constraints may be applied on a user-to-product arc or on a portfolio-to-product arc. Constraints may be stored as objects, and reference to those objects may be added to product or portfolio objects.

  • Patent number: 10536389
Abstract: A connectivity coordinator may receive a request for a dedicated physical connection between a provider network and a client network. In response, the connectivity coordinator may determine a capacity for each connection capacity group available to accept the dedicated physical connection. The connectivity coordinator may use the determined capacities for each available connection capacity group to determine bias response information for each connection capacity group based on the determined capacities and a capacity bias model. The connectivity coordinator may provide the determined bias response information to the client as part of a response to the connectivity request to influence the client to select to connect to a connection capacity group that has more physical ports available to accept the dedicated physical connection than other connection capacity groups that have less ports available to accept the dedicated physical connection.

  • Patent number: 10482482
Abstract: A training system is described herein for generating a prediction model that relies on a feature space with reduced dimensionality. The training system performs this task by producing partitions, each of which corresponds to a subset of aspect values (where each aspect value, in turn, may correspond to one or more attribute values). The training system then produces instances of statistical information associated with the partitions. Each instance of statistical information therefore corresponds to feature information that applies to a plurality of aspect values, rather than a single aspect value. The training system then trains the prediction model based on the feature information. Also described herein is a prediction module that uses the prediction model to make predictions in various online contexts.

  • Patent number: 10482407
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to identifying allocation discrepancies. Data models and Benchmark models may be provided to an analysis engine. Discrepancy models may be provided to the analysis engine, such that each discrepancy model may be arranged to include one or more rules. The analysis engine may be employed to search for discrepancies in the data models based on the discrepancy models and the benchmark models. If discrepancies may be identified by the analysis engine, one or more notifications may be provided to one or more users. Also, the discrepancy models may be modified based on subsequent feedback provided by the one or more users. Correlations in the resource allocation values may be identified based on machine learning that includes one or more of linear regression, deep learning neural networks, or the like. And, additional discrepancy models may be provided based on the identified correlations.
