Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a device displays a user interface that includes user interface objects associated with respective object-specific operations that are triggered by changes in contact intensity. While displaying the user interface, the device detects a first input. In response to detecting the first input: if a focus selector is at a first location, the device performs a first operation associated with the first object; if a focus selector is at the second location, the device performs a second operation associated with the second object; and if a focus selector is at a location that is away from any objects that are associated with object-specific operations that are triggered by changes in contact intensity, perform a third operation that includes updating the user interface on the display to concurrently visually distinguish the first and second objects in the user interface.

Abstract: Methods and devices for selectively presenting a user interface for a phone application are provided. More particularly, a change in the display mode of a multiple screen device can be determined. More particularly, a presentation of a user interface for a call log of a phone application can be retained after receiving a flick in an off-screen gesture area of the device. However, a second, child window is provided in a second screen in response to receiving the flick. The second, child window provides detail information about a phone call selected in the call log.

The mobile terminal including a touchscreen and a controller to control the touchscreen, to display a first frame corresponding to a first viewing angle area of a first time point and a progress bar corresponding to the multi-view video, to move a time indicator displayed on a position corresponding to the first time point to a position corresponding to a second time point of the progress bar according to a first input signal inputted on the progress bar, to display a first thumbnail image corresponding to the first viewing angle area of the second time point, and to display a second thumbnail image corresponding to a second viewing angle area of the second time point according to a second input signal inputted on the second thumbnail image.
Abstract: A system and method for coordinating screen saver initiation and functionality. The system comprises at least one client station, each of the at least one client station having a screen saver module associated therewith; and a central control station in communication with each of the at least one client station over a network, the central control station having a screen saver control module for controlling each of the screen saver modules associated with the at least one client station.
Abstract: A device may activate a screen capture mode and may record screen information provided via a touch screen display associated with the device based on activating the screen capture mode. The device may detect one or more user interactions with the touch screen display in association with the screen information. The one or more user interactions may include a touch gesture. The device may deactivate the screen capture mode and may generate content including the screen information and an indication of the one or more user interactions. The indication may be overlaid on the screen information.
Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts: displays a first user interface that includes objects of a first type and objects of a second type; detects a first portion of a first input that includes an increase in characteristic intensity of a first contact above an intensity threshold while a focus selector is over a respective user interface object; in response, displays supplemental information associated with the respective user interface object; while displaying the supplemental information, detects an end of the first input; and, in response: if the respective user interface object is the first type of object, ceases to display the supplemental information; and, if the respective user interface object is the second type of object, maintains display of the supplemental information after detecting the end of the first input.

The first communication function is to provide communication using a signaling protocol for connecting to or disconnecting from a destination of communication and an encoding protocol for encapsulating communication data in IP packets. The second communication function is to provide communication using the same signaling protocol and a different encoding protocol. The communication terminal also includes a receiving unit configured to receive a selection of the first icon or the second icon; and a starting unit configured to start the first communication function and the second communication function in response to the selection of the first icon and the second icon, respectively.
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing an adaptive seek bar, for use with a displayed user interface of an electronic device, for example a tablet computer, smartphone, or wearable mobile device, that can be used as a media device for playing of music, video, or other forms of media content. A media application is configured to display a seek bar that is adaptable to the shape of a parent user interface, for example by being displayed along the perimeter of the parent user interface. The adaptive seek bar can be associated with a greater usable length, and occupy less central space than other types of seek bar. User interaction with the seek bar can be used to access or otherwise control the playing of media content that is stored locally at the electronic device, or is streamed from a media server.

Abstract: Systems and methods for real-time collaborative computing and collective intelligence are disclosed. A collaborative application runs on a collaborative server connected to a plurality of computing devices. Collaborative sessions are run wherein a group of independent users, networked over the internet, collaboratively answer questions in real-time, thereby harnessing their collective intelligence. A user performance value is determined for each of a plurality of independent users in the group based on each user's participation as compared to other users in the collaborative group. A group cohesiveness score is determined that quantifies the group's overall collaborative effectiveness. In some embodiments, the group cohesiveness score and user performance values are used to adjust weighting factors that affect the relative impact of each of the plurality of users in the collaborative group.
