Abstract: A method for purchasing processing requests on a messaging platform including obtaining a broadcast message from a first client associated with a first social networking account, making a first determination that the broadcast message includes a reference to an item, making a second determination, based at least in part of a perceived inventory count for item that a vendor associated with the messaging platform is able to supply the item, based on the second determination, generating a new broadcast message that includes a buy-now card associated with the item, transmitting the new broadcast message to a second client associated with a second social networking account, receiving, after transmitting the new broadcast message, a purchase request for the second client, wherein the purchase request specifies the item, and processing, by the messaging platform, the purchase request.

Abstract: A system for facilitating a purchasing decision is provided. The system includes a decision-making computing device configured to obtain purchase criteria, to apply the purchase criteria to a list of available purchases to determine a list of candidate purchases, and to determine a final purchase decision from the list of candidate purchases. The decision-making computing device determines the final purchase decision, at least in part, based on user input provided by a user of a user computing device. The user input is provided through an interactive decider configured to gamify the purchasing decision process, at least in part, by executing one or more interactive modules which may be in the form of a game, an animation, a simulation, and the like. If a user confirms a final purchase decision, the decision-making computing device may then initiate a purchasing process.

Abstract: An information processing device includes a process target item extraction unit that refers to a database that stores keyword sets, each of the keyword sets being selected preliminarily as a combination of a plurality of search keywords unlikely to be simultaneously assigned to an identical item, performs item search on a database that stores item information using each of the search keyword belonging to one of the keyword sets, and extracts a process target item an appropriateness determination unit that determine for the extracted process target item, the determination determining a search keyword that should not be assigned to the process target item as an inappropriate keyword, among respective search keywords of the keyword set used for the extraction of the process target item and an inappropriate keyword handling process unit performs an inappropriate keyword handling process to improve a search result of item search.

Abstract: A system and method providing a collection of associated servers in a data center connected to the Internet. The servers, each being related to a service, deliver a client to a user, encapsulating the related services to common standard Internet browser software. The system and method provide a window to the Internet. The associated servers perform browsing for a user, stripping out viruses and malware and delivering safe content. The content enables a user to view and interact with the content on its computer, but not processing that content on the user's computer; the content is not stored on any local storage at the user's computer. The system and method for the delivery of services is tightly integrated into the Internet browsing experience and provides the end-user with anonymity, privacy, fraud protection, and multiple-client sharing of meta-information pertaining to the browsing experience.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for streamlining interactions between a customer and a customer service representative of a company. An interaction is commenced between the customer and the customer service representative during which historical data is accessed related to the customer stored in a company controlled computer system responsive to the interaction. The historical data preferably relates to at least one product or service provided by the company to the customer. At least a part of the historical information is displayed to the customer service representative. On the display, a first tab is generated related to the historical data as is a second tab relating to a quote for a new product or service for offering to the customer. The customer service representative is thereafter enabled to switch between displaying the historical data and the quote by selecting the first or second tab, respectively, without having to save the quote.

Abstract: An app in an app store may be associated with a statically or dynamically generated list of the app's features, modes, content, and/or target device. Different descriptions, icons, titles, and the like may be shown in the app store for each of those features, modes, and content. Based on the mapping and display of individual options, users may be enabled to purchase just one of those modes, features, and/or content. If a user finds one of the provided options and acts to acquire it, the app may start up in a mode tailored to the options (feature, mode, content) rather than activating in a generic way. App stores may limit a number of options per app that can appear in search results, to prevent result spamming by collapsing displayed results, limiting the actual number of displayed results, or filtering by user.

Abstract: Customer interactions with one or more pages associated with an online marketplace may be aggregated into historical navigational patterns, which may be associated with one or more items available for purchase at the online marketplace. Where a series or sequence of customer interactions is subsequently received from a customer, such interactions may also be aggregated into a pattern, which may be compared to one or more of the historical navigational patterns. An item recommendation may be identified for the customer based at least in part on the comparison of the received navigational pattern to one or more of the historical navigational patterns. The item recommendation may include an item previously purchased following one of the historical navigational patterns, or an item related to one or more such items.

Abstract: An electronic commerce system comprising an electronic commerce platform for looking at items and preparing an order from a computer connected to the server of the platform via a computer network. At least one piece of equipment for providing an order comprising at least one area equipped with a counter that is controlled by the local computer and means for conversing with a code reader. The area comprises a plurality of mobile compartments configured to be related by said counter allowing the items to be removed and/or put into said compartment. Means for allowing the registration of a code corresponding to the compartment containing the items of an order, the secure transmission of said code is the form of an electronic identification and means to present said code to activate the movement of the compartment under consideration opposite the counter and opening of said counter to remove items corresponding to the order.

Abstract: A system has mechanism to allow a provider of a product or service to sign up with basic identity information along with any service description resulting in an instant URL as a means for outside parties to contact this provider and engage in multi-modal interactions involving voice, video, chat and media sharing. A single user or a group of users can sign up with this system and provide optionally some contact information such as phone numbers. An URL is instantly generated that can be advertised as hyperlinks to the outside environment such as on a website, email or any other means. This URL can be advertised by the proposed system in various online marketplaces or social networks of the provider as well as on the web to be identified by search engines.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide a computer-implemented method of enabling a recommendation of a software to a user from a software marketplace based on activities of the user's friend of an internet-based social network who is related to the first user within the confines of the social network, said user maintaining an internet-based social network account, the method comprising: receiving, from the first user, a selection of an interface associated with the software marketplace, generating, by a computer-implemented recommendation system, a list of recommended software based on the internet-based social network into which the first user is logged into, sending the list of the of recommended software to the first user, wherein the computer-implemented recommendation system retrieves the information of the user's friend and assigns a weight to a post not displayed based on an attribute thereof.

Abstract: An electronic shopping system, such as an ecommerce retail website, is constructed and programmed to provide online shoppers with the ability to create and manage multiple configurable item orders contemporaneously within a single customer account. Each item in an item order is associated with a “purchase status” which can, in addition to other discrete adjustments, be toggled between “active” and “inactive” states at or before checkout. Each item order is itself configurable in respect of delivery address, payment source, frequency, and schedule. Orders and settings are saved within the customer's account to be recalled, reviewed, refined (if desired), and executed at checkout.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for a proxy agent as an intermediary that hosts electronic exchange transactions between distributing computing devices to reduce the number of fraudulent transactions with respect to items of a multiplayer game. The proxy agent listens for events such as an item being listed for sale on an electronic marketplace associated with the multiplayer game, or a listed item being purchased from the electronic marketplace, before the proxy agent transitions to a state for initiating purchase transactions to obtain additional items from users and thereafter automatically listing the purchased items for sale on the electronic marketplace. The proxy agent serves as a conduit for sale and purchase transactions to restrict transactions from occurring outside of the electronic marketplace and to map pricing data for a given item to market data trends over the transactional life of the item.

Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system comprising at least one processor and at least one memory, the at least one memory comprising instructions executed by the at least one processor to cause the at least one processor to implement a personalized interactive decision support system. A personalized product recommendation module executing within the personalized interactive decision support system correlates at least one customer to a set of consumption preferences using a machine learning model based on a set of traits of the at least one customer to form at least one customer-to-preference correlation. The personalized product recommendation module maps a set of products to the set of consumption preferences using a consumption preferences-to-product attribute mapping data structure based on a set of attributes of the set of products to form a set of product-to-preference correlations.

Abstract: A system for evaluating web pages for searchable content can be utilized to make an e-commerce search engine more effective by identifying pages with searchable value. In embodiments, a web page exhibiting “searchable value” is a page that provides useful information responsive to a user's query on an e-commerce search engine. One embodiment of a page evaluation system includes a web crawler module, a page analysis module, and a page index module. Web pages may be fetched and evaluated for various signals that indicate whether the web page exhibits searchable value. Examples of signals that may indicate that a web page lacks searchable value include a product page that does not have a product name nor a product image and a category page that does not have products listed in the page content. Web pages that lack searchable value may be excluded from subsequent e-commerce search results.

Abstract: Systems or methods for collective purchasing by controlled-environment facility residents may employ a plurality of controlled-environment facility resident communication and/or media devices, each associated with a respective controlled-environment facility resident. These devices, disposed within one or more controlled-environment facilities, may each present an interface for purchasing goods and/or services via the device. The devices may each offer, via the interface, an option to collectively purchase a single good or service by a number of controlled-environment facility residents and may accept an indication of partial payment from the resident associated with the device.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving at least two parameters for a gift exchange from an organizer of the gift exchange. The at least two parameters can comprise a set of participants and a budget. The method further comprises identifying a gift exchange recipient for a respective participant in the set of participants, determining one or more gifts for the gift exchange recipient based at least in part on the budget and a first trust graph, and arranging for display the one or more determined gifts to the respective participant. In many embodiments, the first trust comprises levels of trust associated with the gift exchange recipient. Other embodiments also are disclosed herein.

Abstract: A system controls a transaction from initiation to completion using live vendor inventory database and purchaser entered parameters from a mobile application. A network interface receives parameters entered by the subscribers through the mobile application on the subscriber mobile device and receives inventory updates from vendor systems, the inventory updates including at least a vendor price and identifying information. The system communicates with an accounts server to confirm subscriber funds and place a hold on subscriber funds equal to the required subscriber price and implementing a matching algorithm to detect matching results by determining if any vendor prices and identifying information satisfy any required subscriber prices and descriptions. The system transmits an alert to the subscriber mobile device with matching results, receives a selection from the subscriber of at least one of the matching results, conducting payment processing for the matching result and closes the transaction.
