Abstract: Systems and methods for ordering a replacement component or repair service are disclosed. According to some aspects, condition data indicating a condition of a consumable component may be generated by sensor and transmitted to an order assistance system. The order assistance system may determine whether the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair by comparing the condition data with one or more maintenance parameters. Additionally, in response to a determination that the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair, the order assistance system may recommend at least one of a replacement component or a repair service in accordance with one or more order parameters pre-selected by a user. In some aspects, an insurance policy associated with the consumable component may be adjusted based on the successful repair or replacement of the consumable component.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a pharmacy order-picking device. The present method reduces the susceptibility of the pharmacy order-picking device to disruption. To detect a positioning deviation of the control appliance in the horizontal direction, at least one desired value of at least one reference position is made available, the control appliance is brought to a position corresponding to the desired value in the horizontal direction and, when a signal characteristic of a reference position is detected, an actual value of this reference position is determined. A desired value is compared with a corresponding actual value, or two actual values are compared with each other, and a deviation is determined. If a deviation is determined that exceeds a limit value, a signal pointing to the need for a correction is output. Depending on the deviation, automatic correction of the position deviation can be performed.

Abstract: One method herein includes forwarding an invoice for a purchase agreement made between a seller and a buyer. The method includes receiving a service selection indicating that the invoice is to be paid using an escrow system. The service selection includes a token for verification of a buyer's signatory. The method receives funding confirmation that the buyer has deposited funds into an escrow account. Based on funding confirmation, notification to ship the goods is sent. The method receives shipping confirmation confirming that the goods have been shipped. Upon receipt of the goods, a receiver is authenticated as the authorized signatory using the verification system. This authentication is based on the stored token matching a provided token. Based on verification of the receiver, the goods are released and the deposited funds from the escrow account are deposited into the seller's account.

Abstract: A system of the present invention includes a shared commercial region for use by a plurality of tenant vendors, providing both a virtual and tangible experience regarding products of the tenant vendors. The system can also include a common area of the shared commercial region, populated by interaction terminals and goods linked to product information pages available through the interaction terminals or mobile devices. Through various embodiments, tenant vendors may be efficiently represented within a shared commercial region in high-cost/rent locations and geographically diverse venues, and in locations not normally suited for a small vendor to establish a sales presence. Also provided are systems for completing purchases on an immediate or deferred basis, and systems to monitor and analyze customer traffic and behaviors.

Abstract: A method and a system for providing information about a posting from multiple sources are provided. For example, the method may comprise storing a posting that was submitted by a first user in an online publication system. Then, one or more stored inquiries associated with the posting may be retrieved. Finally, a response is selectively retrieved from a response source. The retrieved response may correspond to the stored inquiry and the posting. The response source is at least one of the posting, the online publication system, the first user, and a user account of a second user.

Abstract: Techniques for creating a user network based on user interest in a product are described. For example, a first search query is received from a first client device. The first client device is associated with a first user. A second search query is received from a second client device. The second client device is associated with a second user. The first search query is matched to a product. The second search query is matched to the product. A user network corresponding to the product is created. The first user is added to the user network based on the matching of the first search query to the product. The second user is added to the user network based on the matching of the second search query to the product.

Abstract: A method is provided for enabling the signing/dedication of information objects including a celebrity accessing a signature/dedication queue of information objects, the celebrity, by operation of a signature/dedication utility associating a signature/dedication of the one or more information objects, and distributing the information object(s) to the intended buyer/recipient such that the system is operable to validate that the celebrity signed/dedicated the information object(s) delivered to the buyer/recipient.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, information about a buyer in an ecommerce system is obtained. An unpaid item risk assessment is calculated for the buyer, the unpaid item risk assessment calculating a risk that the buyer will not pay for an item on which the buyer bids. A bid limit is then established based on the unpaid item risk assessment. A bid from the buyer may then later be blocked based on the bid limit.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing product information at a merchant physical location include a system provider device that updates information in a database about each of a plurality of products in the merchant physical location in real time. A product identifier, which is collected from a first customer device that is associated with a first customer, is received by the system provider device over a network from at least one of a plurality of beacon devices that are located at the merchant physical location. The product identifier is used to retrieve pricing information and inventory information about a first product of the plurality of products in the merchant physical location. The pricing information and the inventory information for the first product are then provided through the network for display on the first customer device.

Abstract: A dynamic digital shelf system includes an interface for identification of a customer: a digital shelf manager in communication with the interface to: retrieve a store's products and services available according to the store's inventory; retrieve an enriched customer profile of a customer's interests wherein the enriched customer profile is enhanced by big data; retrieve a product to product metadata map; develop a customer insights profile to weight the customer's interests with respect to the store's products and services according to the store's criteria in the product to product metadata map; identify the store's products and services matching the enriched customer profile for products and services using the customer insights profile; and output the identified store's products and services. Included is a display in communication with the digital shelf manager to display the identified products and services output from the digital shelf manager which are personalized to the customer.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing a platform to provide virtual storefronts to consumers. Environmental elements are associated with specific consumer services on computer server. A user in the environment takes audio or visual recordings of an environmental element and uploads the recordings to the server. The server determines the appropriate consumer service associated with the recorded environmental element and provides the user with a reference to the service. Accordingly, any space, such as a bus stop, subway or train terminal, movie theater, or airport, may be turned into a virtual store.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for performing searches using an on-device directory. One of the methods includes providing, by a user device, a location of the user device to a server. Delta information is received that identifies merchants to be added to an on-device directory of the user device, wherein the merchants to be added are located in a geographic region that includes the location of the user device. An on-device directory on the user device is updated using the received information identifying merchants. A search query for merchants located in the geographic region is received. Information is obtained from the on device directory identifying one or more merchants that satisfy the query, and the information identifying the one or more merchants is provided in response to the query.

Abstract: Online browsing behavior is used to predict the intent of online users dynamically. The category of online user is predicted and the prediction can be used to provide assistance to the user, if required. Such prediction is based on a combination of a Naïve's Bayes classifier and a Markov model.

Abstract: In some cases, a method may include receiving electricity usage data from a re-ordering device and determining usage information for an appliance that is electrically connected to the re-ordering device based on the electricity usage data. The method may also include determining, based on the usage information and order history information for a customer, an estimated remaining quantity of an item that is associated with an appliance type of the appliance. The method further includes comparing the estimated remaining quantity of the item to a threshold associated with the item. In response to determining that the threshold associated with the item is satisfied, the method includes decrementing the estimated remaining quantity of the item. In response to determining that the threshold associated with the item is not satisfied, the method includes generating order data for automated re-ordering of the item for delivery to the customer.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing price quotes for 3D objects are described herein. In one embodiment, costs related to generating a 3D object molded from a 3D printer mold may be based on various parameters. The process for generating a price quote may include uploading an initial file to a server and converting that file into a 3D CAD file. The method may also include selecting units, materials, a finish, and/or a quantity of objects to be made. Based on the selections, the server may generate a price quote to produce the one or more objects, and a checkout option may be provided allowing the user to purchase the one or more objects.

Abstract: When a user selects an item at an online marketplace and subsequently provides a search query to the online marketplace, search results or recommendations received from the online marketplace in response to the search query may be displayed based on whether the search results or recommendations would satisfy a requirement established by a source of the selected item. The requirement may relate to a minimum cost threshold, or a minimum number of items. Any search results or recommendations that would, if selected, cause the requirement to be met or exceeded may be preferentially displayed to the user above, or in a more prominent manner, than search results or recommendations that would not, if selected, cause the requirement to be met or exceeded.

Abstract: Described is a system and method for monitoring the expiration date of items and determining if an item previously picked by a user will expire before the next anticipated arrival date of the user at a materials handling facility. If the previously picked item will expire before the next anticipated arrival date of the user, the user may receive a recommendation to pick a replacement item so they do not have to return to the materials handling facility early to replace the expired item.

Abstract: Techniques and systems for beacon triggered processes are disclosed. A described technique includes causing a beacon device to broadcast a beacon message, the beacon device being within the vicinity of an establishment; detecting a presence of a user of a mobile device based on receiving from the mobile device a first message that is responsive to the beacon message; retrieving a transaction record based on a user or mobile device identifier in the first message; generating and transmitting a second message based on the transaction record to facilitate a completion of a transaction associated with the transaction record at the establishment; the second message being configured to provide notification of an arrival of the user and dispatch an employee to meet the user and handle the transaction; and generating and transmitting a third message based on the transaction record to facilitate the completion of the transaction at the mobile device.
