Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to enhanced selectable item availability processing systems with improved content and configuration update capability and enhanced selectable item availability output determinations. A computing platform may receive a selectable item availability configuration output comprising a configuration update to the selectable item availability output and a selectable item availability content output comprising a content update to the selectable item availability output. Based on the selectable item availability configuration output and the selectable item availability content output, the computing platform may generate an updated selectable item availability output. The computing platform may receive a request to access the selectable item availability output.

Abstract: Technologies for adaptively rendering content on a computing device are disclosed. Such technologies include analyzing 3D images to detect a gesture performed by a user and modifying a rendering, pre-fetching, or pre-navigation operation of the computing device based on the detected gesture. Such user gestures may be static or dynamic and may cause the computing device to retrieve additional content, zoom content, halt or reduce rendering of content, and/or perform other operations and functions related to the rendering of content.

Abstract: A device is disclosed, which includes a processor and a memory in communication with the processor. The memory includes executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to control the device to perform functions of providing a graphical user interface for a user on a display; displaying a user interface component on the graphical user interface; providing a pointer on the graphical user interface controlled by the user to interact with the user interface component on the graphical user interface; in response to the pointer being positioned over the displayed user interface component, and displaying after a dynamic hover trigger delay a hover graphic proximate to the component wherein the dynamic hover trigger delay dynamically changes depending on movement of the pointer by the user.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of presenting several user interface (UI) controls for editing images. Upon receiving a selection of an image to edit, the method displays the image in a display area for displaying edits to the image. At a first location, the method receives input to activate a UI tool includes the several UI tools. In response to the input, the method displays, at a second location, a fanning animation that fans the several UI controls from a fanned closed layout to a fanned open layout.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a first computing device having a controller to present an avatar having characteristics that correlate to a user profile and that conform to operating characteristics of the first computing device, and transmit to a second computing device operational information associated with the avatar for reproducing at least in part the avatar at said second computing device. Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for adapting user interfaces. In one aspect, there is provided a method. The method may include monitoring at least one action at a user interface including a page to enable a determination of a response time representative of an amount of time for an application to respond to the at least one action at the user interface including the page; determining, based on at least the response time, a frustration index; and adapting, based on the determined frustration index, at least a portion of the user interface including the page. Abstract: A method for contents management in an electronic device can include generating a contents list, based on a user input, detecting selection of a contents list entry in the contents list, and creating one or more contents related to a content of the selected contents list entry, when creating the one or more related contents, generating a tag based on at least part of the content corresponding to the selected contents list entry, adding the tag to the one or more related contents, and adding a contents list entry of the one or more related contents comprising the tag, to the contents list.

Abstract: Nesting information indicative of a nested arrangement of a set of scrollable areas within an environment is obtained. Focus information indicative of which of the set of scrollable areas is in focus within the environment is obtained. A visualization scheme is applied to each of the set of scrollable areas other than the scrollable area in focus. The visualization scheme adjusts at least one display property of each other scrollable area by each of a function of a relative position of each other scrollable area relative to the scrollable area in focus within the nested arrangement and a function of a relative distance of each other scrollable area from the scrollable area in focus.

Abstract: Systems and methods to present information to a user regarding favorite contacts of the user. In one embodiment, a method includes: storing a plurality of person profiles for persons referenced in communications received by a user of a computing device; selecting, using at least one processor, a set of contacts from the plurality of person profiles based on a relevancy ranking, wherein the set of contacts is selected for display to the user on the computing device; and organizing, using the at least one processor, the set of contacts into at least two time groups, each time group associated with a different time period, wherein contacts will be displayed to the user within each time group based on a relevancy ranking for each contact within the time group.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the present disclosure may include, for example, a method for receiving from a first media device a selection of replacement content, where the replacement content corresponds to a portion of media content presentable by the first media device, and where replacement content is selected according to a plurality of options presented by the first media device as the portion of the media content is being presented. The method may further include retrieving the replacement content with a metadata pointer provided with the media content, transmitting to a second media device a request to accept the replacement content, and transmitting the replacement content to the second media device for presentation at the second media device in response to receiving an acceptance response from the second media device. Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein provide a control interface for manipulating a 3-D graphical object within a virtual drawing space. The control can be activated by selecting a graphical object or objects. When multiple objects are selected, the manipulations can occur as a group. In one aspect, the manipulations occur around the centroid of the 3-D graphical object, or groups of objects. The manipulations can include rotation, size adjustment, and positional adjustment within the virtual drawing space. The control interface comprises a visible mesh that helps the user position the object in space relative to other objects.

Abstract: A method for securing an instant messaging (“IM”) conversation between at least a first and a second user, the first and second users having a first and a second client, respectively, in communication over a network, the method comprising: receiving a command from the first user through an input device and a graphical user interface (“GUI”) presented on a display of the first client to disable copying of the IM conversation; and, transmitting a message to the second client to inform the second client and the second user that copying of the IM conversation has been disabled.

Abstract: Mechanisms are described for facilitating navigation between webpages, such as during web-surfing operations. A first webpage may be presented to a user, and the user may 5 provide a marking input regarding a position on the first webpage to be marked. A visual representation of the position may be presented to the user on the device display, such as within a marker box that may be presented overlying the webpage content. The user may then navigate to another, second webpage, which may be presented for the user's consumption. To navigate back to the first webpage and view the contents of that webpage at 10 the marked position, the user may provide a navigation input via the visual representation during presentation of the second webpage. In response to the navigation input, the first webpage may be presented to the user at the position that was marked.

Abstract: Within a social network, a user may establish a set of contacts who share with the user various content items and comments related thereto. However, these content items are often hosted by a content source outside of the social network, and the user may have to transition to the content source to view the content item, and then transition back to the social network to submit a comment. Instead, a device may monitor the social network to record shared content items. When the user requests a presentation of the content source, the content items hosted by the content source that have been shared with the user may be included in the presentation. The presentation of the content source may also accept comments from the user regarding a content item, and send the comments to the social network where the content item was shared with the user.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for dynamically selecting and sending content items to a user device based on various network and device conditions are provided. In some embodiments, a listing of images stored within a user account on a content management system may be generated, and a selection probability value may be assigned to each image within the listing. An available capacity level on the user device may be determined, and images may be dynamically selected to be sent to the user device based on the determined available capacity level and each image's selection probability value. In some embodiments, each image's selection probability value may be based on one or more factors. For example, images that have been recently viewed, recently added to a collection of images, and/or shared within a shared virtual space created by the user, may receive higher selection probability values than other images.

Abstract: Example implementations described herein are directed to systems and methods for document capture, which can involve detecting, from a plurality of frames of a recording of an application window that comprises a document, document content of the document and screen activity of the application window; and generating a web-based copy of the document based on the document content and the screen activity. Further example implementations can involve recording screen activity such as mouse cursors, text annotations, scrolling actions and other activity, and then providing an application layer to replay the screen activity onto the captured document.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods that mirror a display on a touch screen as well as touch gestures being performed on the touch screen. For example, systems and methods described herein involve detecting a touch gesture being performed on a touch screen and providing a semi-transparent animation of the touch gesture on a mirrored display. The semi-transparent animation can allow users to view both the mirrored display and the touch gesture animation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for digitally drawing on virtual 3D object surfaces using a 3D display system. A 3D drawing mode may be enabled and a display screen of the system may correspond to a zero parallax plane of a 3D scene that may present a plurality of surfaces at non-zero parallax planes. User input may be received at a location on the display screen, and in response, a surface may be specified, rendered, and displayed at the zero parallax plane. Further, additional user input on the display screen may be received specifying drawing motion across the rendered and displayed surface. The drawing motion may start at the location and continue across a boundary between the surface and another contiguous surface. Accordingly, in response to the drawing motion crossing the boundary, the contiguous surface may be rendered and displayed at the zero parallax plane along with results of the drawing motion.
