  • Patent number: 5967544
Abstract: The present invention is a structurally stable utility cart having a collapsible kneeling board to cushion the knees of the user and a collapsible hand support that the user can grab hold of when shifting to and from kneeling or crouching positions to upright standing positions. The kneeling board and hand support are independently collapsible without one affecting the movement of the other. Further, the device is readily collapsible for compact storage without substantially affecting the overall structural stability. The present invention also provides a utilitarian container, generally for storing various gardening tools.

  • Patent number: 5967252
Abstract: A push-button actuated system for an ATV transmission such as those used on a Honda 300 where a DC motor is connected to a cable linkage, which in turn is connected to the gear change pedal now used to upshift and downshift gears of a semi-automatic transmission. The cable linkage is arranged so that a clockwise rotation of the DC motor causes a cable to pull upwardly on the gear change pedal. A counterclockwise rotation of the DC motor causes the cable linkage to pull downwardly on the pedal. Variations do away with the pedal and cause rotation of the operative transmission shaft in the same manner as the pedal.

  • Patent number: 5960902
Abstract: A swing arm assembly for use with a motorcycle and including provisions which aid in the replacement of a drive belt. The swing arm includes two side members for supporting the rear wheel of the motorcycle and a connecting member which is pivotally attached to the main frame of the motorcycle using at least one connection bolt. The drive belt is positioned between the two side members and around the connecting member. The connecting member is attached to the side members and includes a removable spacer. The spacer may be selectively removed so that a gap is provided through the connecting member and between the two side members. The gap is sized to accommodate the passage of the drive belt, during its replacement. The spacer is preferably secured to the connecting member by the connection bolt.

  • Patent number: 5957237
Abstract: A collapsible step assembly has upper and lower steps, and a housing which mounts below the door of a vehicle. The steps and housing are interconnected by pivotally mounted linkages. A pivot rod extends transversely through the housing with a linkage fastened to each end. A link arm is connected to the rod with a universal ball joint. The link arm is swivelly mounted to a drive gear with teeth which extend circumferentially along an arcuate edge portion. The drive gear is pivotally mounted to the housing and engages a drive gear extending from a motor. The drive gear rotates the pivot rod and, hence, the steps between retracted and extended positions. A flat outer edge of the drive gear abuts a mechanical stop in the extended position. When the user steps on the steps while they are extended, the stop will resist countertorque on the pivot rod from being applied through the gears to the motor.
