  • Patent number: 10583957
Abstract: A knockdown container or display in the shape of a 3-dimensional container is provide which comprises of two main element types, namely Sheet elements and Edge elements. In this design, all of the main elements of the container are joined one to another by sliding with respect to each other in a sequence that make an open or closed display or container that can easily assembled or disassembled. In particular, the edges of the Sheet elements have a shape that is fitted into matching slots of the Edge elements. The position and orientation of elements are such that they securely restrict unwanted movement of the elements with respect to one another, while minimizing the number of needed fasteners or number of additional restricting components needed to secure the Edge elements.

  • Patent number: 10562680
Abstract: The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling. A liner sheet may be attached to the feedstock sheet prior to, during, or after forming and can be peelable therefrom.

  • Patent number: 10563346
Abstract: A container takes on the form of a laundry hamper or basket while static or stationary. Upon bringing front and back panels of the container into closer proximity for transport, such as by drawing together their respective handles, or drawing one of the handles towards the other, the container changes configuration, or shape, to that of a tote bag. Upon releasing at least one of the front and back panels of the container from being drawn towards the other, such as by releasing at least one of their respective handles, the container automatically reverts back to the form of a laundry hamper or basket. The use of substantially rigid front and back panels, coupled with side panels that have resilient upper regions, permit the side panels to take on a spout-like configuration when the container is in its tote bag configuration, and to return to a planar configuration when the container is in its laundry hamper or basket configuration.
