  • Patent number: 11196779
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to engaging in a communications session, such as an audio call, video call, and/or an audio/video (A/V) call, using a first user equipment (UE) and then seamlessly switching to a second UE while the communications session is in progress. The A/V call system may be configured to provide an indication to the first UE of other UEs that may be registered with it using a common user account. The first UE may enable a user to select another of his or her UEs to transfer the ongoing communications session. The first UE may send the A/V call system a request to transfer of the communications session. The A/V system may add the second UE to the communications session and disengage the first UE from the communications session.

  • Patent number: 11196705
Abstract: An identification service may provide a device identifier that is available in both browser and non-browser applications on an electronic device. The identification service may include a domain name system server that handles domain name system queries for certain HTTP requests originating from the browser and non-browser applications. An HTTP request in the non-browser application may result in the domain name system server embedding the device identifier into an IPv6 address that is then stored in a local domain name system cache on the device. An HTTP request in the browser application may cause the browser to connect to the IPv6 address stored in the local domain name system cache. The identification service may have an HTTP server bound to the IPv6 address. The HTTP server may extract the device identifier from the IPv6 address and may provide the device identifier to the browser application.

  • Patent number: 11197046
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to measure exposure to streaming media are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a server to access metadata identifying media presented to a user, and cookie data, the metadata and the cookie data provided by a client device. A user identifier comparator is to determine whether the cookie data identifies the user to the database proprietor, the server to, in response to the user identifier comparator determining that the cookie data does not identify the user to the database proprietor, send a redirect message instructing the client device to retransmit the metadata to a next-hop location. A metadata transmitter is to, in response to the user identifier comparator determining that the cookie data does identify the user to the database proprietor, provide the metadata and the user identifier to a central facility.

  • Patent number: 11190589
Abstract: A data loss prevention mechanism for a cloud-based security analytics system is provided that utilizes a compact repository that improves the ratio of false positives over traditional methods, maintains a small data size, permits distribution of compact repository files to a large number of analyzing nodes, and provides metadata for matched events. A compressed bitmap of information found in a compact repository is used, thereby improving the utilization of storage space for a repository containing information associated with a significant number of data fingerprints. Compression further allows for a larger entry size in the compact repository, thereby providing a lower false positive rate. A mechanism for distributing updates to compact repositories residing on cloud servers is provided by updating a central server and propagating the updates to remote servers.

  • Patent number: 11178041
Abstract: Techniques are described in which a centralized controller, such as a software defined networking (SDN) controller, constructs a service chain that includes a physical network function (PNF) between a bare metal server (BMS) and a virtual execution element (e.g., virtual machine or container), or in some instances a remote BMS, or vice-versa. In accordance with the techniques disclosed herein, the controller may construct an inter-network service chain that includes PNFs, or a combination of PNFs and virtualized network functions (VNFs). The controller may construct an inter-network service chain to steer traffic between a BMS and a virtual execution element or remote BMS through an inter-network service chain using Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) as an underlying transport technology through the service chain.

  • Patent number: 11171923
Abstract: Analytics are collected to monitor and report data usage of enterprise applications running on a mobile device. A second line service agent and an analytics agent assure that the mobile device is configured for analytics collection. Once configured, cellular data usage of applications that are monitored by the analytics engine are detected and a VPN connection is established for routing the communications between the monitored app an a public website. If the mobile device switches to WiFi usage, the analytics agent disconnects the VPN connection and routes data directly to the public website. Thus, data usage of the monitored applications can be reported by the VPN gateway.

  • Patent number: 11171860
Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a method for obtaining a target transmission route, a related device, and a system. The method is applied to a flexible Ethernet FlexE networking network and includes: receiving a first message that is sent by a second node for requesting to query for a transmission route of a first FlexE client; and sending a second message to the second node, where a route information entry in the second message includes route information of the FlexE client on each node. Ingress information and egress information that are of a FlexE client on a route node are recorded as a transmission route of each hop. A segment-to-segment transmission route in the FlexE network can be dynamically found in real time, a planned and deployed transmission route is compared with an actually found route, to evaluate a network running status.
