Abstract: The present disclosure provides a hardware acceleration method and a related device. The hardware acceleration method includes: determining, by a functional entity, a requirement of a to-be-accelerated virtualized network function VNF; determining, by the functional entity, a target virtualized infrastructure manager VIM; and deploying, by the functional entity, the to-be-accelerated VNF onto a target host in a management domain of the target VIM by using the target VIM. In the present invention, the functional entity deploys the to-be-accelerated VNF onto the target host whose hardware matching resource meets the requirement in the to-be-accelerated VNF, so that the type of the hardware acceleration resource required in the to-be-accelerated VNF can match a type of the hardware matching resource of the target host, and the hardware matching resource of the target host can meet an acceleration requirement of the to-be-accelerated VNF, thereby effectively improving performance of the to-be-accelerated VNF.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing device capable of operating in accessibility mode of guaranteeing browsing corresponding to disability or functional degeneration of a body of an operator. A source device checks whether each sink device is in accessibility mode at the time of connection, and determines whether or not metadata for supporting disability (for example, audios, videos, texts, vibration information, or the like) is added to the sink device in the accessibility mode at the time of transmission of original image/audio data. The source device changes a metadata transmission method in accordance with whether the accessibility mode of each sink device is turned on or off.

Abstract: In a method for distributed upload of documents an upload email address is assigned to a user and associated with a searchable document database accessible by the user via a user device and a network. Sender acceptance criteria are established for the upload email address. An email addressed to the upload email address and having a sender email address is received from an email sender via the network. A determination is made as to whether the received email meets sender acceptance criteria. Responsive to a determination that the email meets sender acceptance criteria, documents attached to the email are identified. Each identified document is associated with a document record comprising a document identifier and a sender identifier associated with the email sender and is stored in the searchable document database with the document record.

Abstract: A system identifies a significant communication from a revived contact. A user and the contact interact, and the interaction is monitored to determine a weighted significance value to attribute to the contact. The interaction may include communication, a designation of significance by the user, and organizational associations. The weighted significance value is attributed to the contact. A subsequent communication is detected and a weighted time difference value for the subsequent communication is determined. If the subsequent communication satisfies a significant communication condition, then the subsequent communication is designated as a significant communication.

The display data generating device connects to the device via a network, receives from a request source device a request for display data relating to usage information of the device designating identification information of the device, acquires the usage information of the device designating the identification information of the device from a usage information storage device that stores the usage information of the device in association with the identification information of the device, using the usage information of the device that is acquired, generates display data in a layout optimized for a display on which a request source device displays the usage information of the device, and provides the generated display data to the request source device.

Multiple network interfaces may be installed on a server to enable transmission of data from the single server according a number of discrete configuration settings implicated by the various policies. The multiple network interfaces may correspond to separate physical components, with each component configured independently to implement a feature of a policy. Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and method for filtering notifications across multiple end points associated with a user. A server can establish, for a user of an end point, a session with the end point. The server can identify properties of a plurality of applications and properties of the plurality of end points. A filter can be generated for the user and the filter can include one or more polices to selectively permit or prevent notifications received from one or more applications through the client application. The server can apply the filter to the applications and use the filter to filter one or more notifications received from the applications to selectively permit or prevent the one or more notifications from being received at each end point of the plurality of end points that the user accesses during the session to the server through the client application.

Abstract: A method for modeling and execution of event-driven software applications. Its main parts are the routing graph model, the run time engine and optionally a user interface and automatic configuration modules. The routing graph is comprised of routing and processing task nodes. Routing nodes are enriched with node-type specific event routing logic. Task nodes process specific types of events and produce output events. The run time engine executes the routing graph model, based on the routing nodes logic and the tasks processing functions. The user interface component is used to compose and manage the routing graph configuration. The automatic configuration modules may be used to combine and configure predefined routing sub-graphs into a resulting routing graph model.

Abstract: Generation of customized response messages is described. According to the method, an incoming communication request is received and a relationship between an initiator of the communication request and a recipient of the communication request is determined. Based on a number of calendars for the recipient, an availability of the recipient is determined. When the recipient is unavailable, a customized response message is generated. The customized response message 1) is based on the relationship between the initiator and the recipient and 2) indicates an estimated response time for the recipient based on the availability of the recipient.

Abstract: A video service quality assessment method and apparatus are provided to resolve a prior-art problem of relatively low accuracy of an assessment result. A monitoring device obtains an identifier of a to-be-monitored channel, an identifier of to-be-monitored user equipment, and configuration information of a video service transmission system; obtains a multicast video stream of the to-be-monitored channel based on the identifier of the to-be-monitored channel; obtains a retransmitted video stream based on the identifier of the to-be-monitored channel, the identifier of the to-be-monitored user equipment, and the configuration information of the video service transmission system; determines a to-be-assessed video stream based on the multicast video stream and the retransmitted video stream; and parses the to-be-assessed video stream, and obtains an assessment result based on a parsing result and the configuration information of the video service transmission system.

Abstract: Method and systems are disclosed for providing a function as a service for an application. The application may comprise an email application. A user may define or select an application codes set for performing a specific functionality. The user may define rules that associate specific events with execution of the application code set. Upon detection of an event, a condition may be checked associated with the application. If the condition is satisfied, the application code set may be caused to be executed. The application code set may modify data, such as an email message.

Abstract: The presentation of sensor network information can be provided to a user via a customized dashboard web interface. The dashboard web interface can be based on customized transformation and alert functions that can be applied to one or more sensor channels of data produced from sensors at a monitored location. The customized alerts can provide real-time monitoring of targeted conditions at the monitored location.

Abstract: Processing a media file includes receiving a request for a media file from a client system and determining, using a processor, a non-chronological ordering of a plurality of segments of the media file for buffering according to historical playback data for each of the plurality of segments of the media file. A first segment of the media file is sent for buffering to the client system as specified by the non-chronological ordering of the plurality of segments. The non-chronological ordering is determined prior to sending any segment of the media file to the client system.
