Abstract: An improved means for controlling movement of the discharge door on an agricultural machine between its open and closed position, wherein the movement of associated machine parts is utilized to incur controlled movement of the discharge door.

Abstract: This invention is of a tool for use in separating a coffee brewer of the type which includes a screw thread connected upper and lower portion and which tool comprises a socket sized to receive the bottom of the lower portion of the coffee brewer and means to secure the tool to a table, such as by suction cups which are fastened to the bottom of the tool.

Abstract: An apparatus for brewing beverages from a ground or powdered substance comprises a movable intermediate member for conveying the substance to a stationary brewing chamber while simultaneously ensuring proper sealing of the chamber and measurement of the substance.

Abstract: Cooking apparatus especially suited for outdoor cooking using charcoal, wood and the like for fuel. The container-like body supported on legs may be made from sheet metal and includes a special damper arrangement beneath a corrugated foraminous sheet metal meat support. Charcoal or other fuel is supported in a removable pan inside a large container smaller than the inside area defined by the body and mounted above a sheet metal damper wall in which there are two large damper openings through which air flow is adjusted by means of a manually positioned hinged damper plate. The large container has ventilation holes around the edges. The corrugated formation of the foraminous plate provides slanted surfaces and grease troughs which help control the cooking and the grease disposal. A large, hinged hood may be swung and supported out of the way and the hood has a removable shelf. A special grease guard is part of the body. Special pivoted brackets selectively retain the hood in place.

Abstract: There is described an automatic coffee-making apparatus comprising, in a casing including coffee inlet, beverage percolation outlet and spent coffee discharge outlet means, a rotor having opposite cavities diametrically bored thereinto, and pistons slidably located in said cavities, said pistons being interconnected and forming in each respective cavity an outer space open on the rotor peripheral wall and an inner annular space of cross-sectional area less than that of the outer space, and duct means for phasedly and selectively supplying hot pressurized water in said annular spaces during percolation to discharge spent coffee.

Abstract: An improved coffee maker that prevents leakage of water between the cover for the water reservoir at the top of the device because of steam pressure that may cause a "short" in the electrical system or cause other damage; prevents the wall of the paper filter within the basket to collapse; prevents shooting of the hot water directly into the basket containing the coffee; permits the lower part of the basket containing the silk screen to be removed for cleaning and easy replacement if the silk screen within such lower part is punctured or otherwise damaged; permits the water spreader of the basket to be easily removed for cleaning; prevents water or coffee from leaking to or through the warming unit at the base of the coffee maker upon which the carafe rests which may interfere with the electrical wiring in the warming unit and possibly cause a short and do other damage; and provide certain shields for parts against excessive heat and hot water that may cause injury to the user of the device.

Abstract: A device for the extemporary preparation of beverages with a liquid in doses which passes through a capsule containing a charge to be solved or diluted in said liquid, after a hollow extension has been removed and a thin, covering plate of said capsule has been perforated.The device includes: a first station for receiving the capsule and for shearing its extension, and a second beverage delivery station having a unit which is lowered to perforate the capsule and let the nozzle for the diluent or solvent liquid be inserted thereinto; a conveying collet having two diverging arms, which is angularly movable between said two stations, said collet forming with its arms in a closed position an annular seat for the capsule; and a movable shearing unit with a blade shearing the lower extension; the collet is temporarily diverged in its return stroke from the first station to the second station for abandoning the exhausted capsule.

Abstract: A rack construction for use with meat which has been injected with curing solution and which is to be smoked comprising a frame, spring-like brackets on said frame for supporting shelves in either a horizontal meat supporting position or a relatively vertical washing and storage position, pan means on said frame in underlying relationship to said shelves for collecting curing and other solution which drains from meat on said shelves, and pivot means mounting said pans for movement between a horizontal solution-collecting position and a vertical pan-washing position.

Abstract: A wire rack which fits in a pan within an oven supports poultry and meat during roasting so that grease and fat and particularly water within the body cavity of the dressed poultry runs into the pan. The rack consists of a first member having a round base and preferably eight wire members distributed around the base each in a vertical plane and curving inward and then straight up so that they define a cylinder. A ring prevents the eight members from spreading. A second member comprises a top ring and a plurality of depending wires each about half the length of the first-mentioned wire members and each lying in a vertical plane and extending inward and then straight down, the lower ends of pairs of wires being joined. The lower end of the second member fits into the top of the first member. An annular trough snaps over the top ring and is formed with small holes so that juices placed in the trough baste meat in the rack.

Abstract: A device for forming a laminate of, for example, dough sheets, comprising an input conveyor and an output conveyor for the sheets, there being a transfer conveyor between said input and output conveyors, which comprises a series of groups of rollers adapted to be advanced bodily across the output conveyor whilst a sheet is being fed onto the rollers of a group and the rollers being capable of rotation to discharge a sheet therefrom onto the output conveyor, there being spaces between the groups of rollers, through which the sheets are discharged, the whole operation being continuous such that a laminate of sheets is formed on the output conveyor which is preferably advanced such that the sheets are laid thereon in overlapping relationship.

Abstract: A device for toasting bread or other toastable food items over a fire or camping stove, particularly over butane type burners, consisting of two hinged plates with a series of various size holes therethrough with the plates designed to rest over the stove or fire in the shape of a triangle, with the plates being provided with grids to support the toasted item near but away from the plates, with each plate also being provided with a flange to support the toasted item at a predetermined distance above the heat. The toaster is also provided with a heat shield on each side of the toaster consisting of a metal plate which is hingably attached to one of the toasting plates and is snapped onto the other toasting plate to maintain the toasting plates in an open position during toasting, with the heating plates diverting the heat from the stove or fire to the inside surfaces of the toasting plates.

Abstract: An apparatus for repeatably forming shaped dough bodies having a filling. A generally cylindrical filling forming mechanism, in communication with a pressurized source of filling material, is contained within and is surrounded by a generally cylindrical dough forming mechanism in communication with a pressurized source of dough. The filling forming mechanism includes an inner chamber which receives the filling material, means defining a filling material transporting channel extending around the circumference of the filling forming mechanism which channel can be selectively opened to permit the filling material to flow out of it, and a generally cylindrical shell member which is mounted to obstruct the filling material transporting channel and which includes a plurality of shaped filling forming orifices in its periphery. The dough forming mechanism has dough forming orifices in its periphery which are aligned with corresponding filling forming orifices in the shell member of the filling forming mechanism.

Abstract: A food processing device comprising a heating and storage unit for both soft tortillas and toasted tortilla chips. The unit includes a power driven conveyor belt system for continuous movement of soft tortillas through a heated zone and a storage and dispensing chamber above the conveyor belt system for toasted tortilla chips. In one form of the invention, the conveyor belt system comprises upper and lower horizontal belts having an upper portion of the lower belt which runs essentially in contact with a lower portion of the upper belt through the heated zone for lightly pressing and moving soft tortillas continuously through the heated zone. Both forms of the unit include structure for directing the heated gases employed with the soft tortillas into the storage and dispensing portion of the unit for heating and keeping warm the toasted tortilla chips.

Abstract: An assemblage for intermittently angularly advancing a rotary grille having a motor-driven spit operatively associated therewith is provided. The assemblage includes an elongated tang supported from a spring clip for lengthwise adjustable positioning of the tang relative to the clip. The spring clip is of a configuration to releasably clampingly engage one end of the aforementioned motor-driven spit for rotation therewith and with the tang extending generally radially of the associated motor-driven spit. The assemblage is supported from the spit adjacent one end thereof over one peripheral portion of the grille and the longitudinal positioning of the tang relative to the clip is such to enable the free end of the tang to project downwardly through an opening of the grille defined between adjacent grille bars or members thereof and to engage one of the grille bars or members each time the free end of the tang swings through it lowermost arc segment as a result of rotation of the spit.

Abstract: A pour-over type coffee brewing apparatus is disclosed adapted for mounting under a cabinet or shelf and having a water receiver assembly containing means for immediately heating a charge of water and having a temperature-actuated valve for discharging the heated water at an appropriate temperature into a brewing vessel. A thermostatic device is included for automatically monitoring and controlling the activation of the heating means.

Abstract: A container of evacuated double wall construction has an open neck for receiving a beverage after the beverage has been heated to a desired temperature. A stopper member receivable in the open neck incorporates an evacuated electric light bulb covering a major portion of the cross sectional area of the neck to provide further heat insulation and also radiate heat onto beverage within the container. Regulation of the heat to maintain the beverage at a desired constant temperature is accomplished by a pressure actuated switch incorporated in the stopper member. When water is used as the beverage, the heated water can be passed from the container through an outlet spout to a cartridge housing including pay out and take up spools for a series of packets connected together to form a ribbon. Successive packets may be positioned under the spout and include coffee beans, the cartridge including a cup receiving area so that coffee can be brewed directly into a cup.

Abstract: The crepe pan is such that it is adapted to distribute the batter over the flat exposed bottom surface of the bottom of the pan; a base locates and supports the pan in position and is so dimensioned as to surround the flame and distribute the heat evenly over the flat bottom of the pan; the weight distribution of the pan and its handle being such that the pan will be firmly seated around a suitable flange on a shoulder adjacent the flange of the substantially cylindrical base.

Abstract: A rotatable grill for demountably retaining food objects consisting of a first basket half and a second basket half which is similar in size to the first basket half and a pivotable bracket means for adjustably joining the ends of the bracket halves to form a closed basket at their longitudinal sides. The baskets are pivotably movable with respect to each other in the opened position. The basket halves include interengaging braces which are clamped at their ends and allow the basket halves to be pivoted with respect to each other to an open position at least 90.degree. from the closed position. The bearing shafts which hold the baskets together include threaded ends and nuts for securing the ends of the braces. The baskets also have extending wire ends which are bent at an acute angle so that when the baskets are almost closed, the extending ends mesh in a tooth-like manner.

Abstract: A taco holding tray to support formed taco shells for filling and serving has a series of linear parallel spaced round bottom "V"-shaped troughs, the inclined walls of which support all but about the last one inch wide portion of the shell. The taco holding tray also has a trough at each end of the parallel "V" troughs to catch and hold any spillage of filling from the taco shells.
