Abstract: Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a widely used method of distinguishing authorized email from unauthorized email. SPF policies are published into a domain's DNS and then looked up and evaluated by mail receivers. Due to the complexity and limitations of the SPF specification, implementation mistakes and risks are widespread. This problem is compounded by the common practice of nesting SPF policies which introduces hidden risks, particularly exceeding DNS lookup limits. Embodiments of the present disclosure enable new SPF techniques such as selectively inactivating parts of a policy by introducing a virtual-all term, designed to secure against the third-party term inclusions in the policy. When the primary policy is online, the virtual-all term may serve as a terminate policy evaluation much like a traditional “all” term. If the primary policy is offline, a “fail open” may be produced, allowing policy evaluation to proceed into previously inactivated segment of the policy.

Abstract: A system and method for efficiently transmitting signals from a sensing device to a remote device are disclosed. The sensing device includes at least one sensor for sensing information. The sensed information could be associated with heart activity. The sensing device smooths the sensed signal and then calculates the difference between the smoothed sensed signal and a locally stored baseline signal to determine a differential signal, which can be transmitted as a smaller packet of data than the full sensed signal. The remote device receives information associated with the differential signal and uses a local copy of the baseline signal to reconstruct the original smoothed sensed signal.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, electronic device, and computer readable storage medium for communication between private networks are provided. An embodiment of the method may include: receiving a communication request sent by a first sub-instance provided in a first private network, the first sub-instance being created based on that the first private network initiates a network registration request to a master instance; determining a second private network as a destination based on the communication request; and sending the communication request to the second private network through a second sub-instance provided in the second private network, the second sub-instance being created based on that the second private network initiates a network registration request to the master instance, wherein the first private network, the second private network, and a cloud enterprise network provided with the master instance forms a star topology centered on the cloud enterprise network.

Abstract: A message transportation management system can be configured to receive a message directed to a plurality of target message recipients. The system can determine a plurality of levels of activity, each corresponding to one of the plurality of target message recipients. The system can receive a level of activity threshold associated with each of the plurality of target message recipients. The system can determine that the first subgroup of target message recipients qualifies as priority target message recipients. The system can transmit, via a priority transfer location, the message to the first subgroup of target message recipients and transmit, via a default transfer location different from the priority transfer location, the message to a second subgroup of target message recipients.

Abstract: Alert routing system and methods are described. Alerts are received and aggregated from disparate internet-of-things devices. Alerts may be prioritized based on any combination of: source device-related factors, such as device purpose; subscriber-related factors, such as age, preferences, and restrictions; and subscriber device-related factors, such as ability to receive information in particular formats. In some instances, alerts are further prioritized based on the location of the system's components. Additionally, in some instances, alerts are queued for batch processing based, for example, on subscriber schedule and preferences.

Abstract: A tool for predicting communication patterns and availability on one or more computer devices. The tool allocates an incoming mail identification to the incoming mail. The tool determines a location of origin for the incoming mail based, at least in part, on domain information and information from an address book. The tool determines one or more holidays, a day of a week, and a time of day utilizing a sending timestamp from the location of origin. The tool determines a sending tendency for the sender identification. The tool determines a response prediction rate for a per-determined timeframe based, at least in part, on the one or more holidays, the day of the week, the time of day and the sending tendency for the sender identification. The tool displays the response prediction rate and the sending tendency in one or more pop-up dialog windows.

Abstract: A protocol conversion device includes a converter and a communicator. The converter makes a protocol conversion of vehicle data acquired from a vehicle by communication based on a first protocol, into vehicle data in a format of HTTP or HTTPS as a second protocol. The vehicle data is directed to diagnosis of the vehicle. The communicator transmits the vehicle data protocol-converted by the converter, to a communication terminal that is able to execute, by communication based on the second protocol, a vehicle diagnosis program held by a web server. The converter makes a protocol conversion of data transmitted from the communication terminal by the communication based on the second protocol, into data in a first protocol format. The communicator transmits, to the vehicle by the communication based on the first protocol, the data in the first protocol format that is protocol-converted by the converter.

Abstract: A message treatment process executed by a user's terminal when a message is being drafted is disclosed. The terminal has access to a corpus of messages containing at least one message sent by that user to at least one recipient user. In one aspect, at least one part of the message drafted by the user is retrieved. Concerning at least one message in the corpus, a semantic similarity score is calculated with a view to match at least part of the draft message with one message at least in the predetermined corpus of messages. At least one message is selected in the corpus of messages, based on the semantic similarity score calculated for a least one message in the corpus, then at least part of a previously received reply to at least one selected message is replicated.

Abstract: Described embodiments provide for associating a user experience score with a location of a client. A device may identify a session between the client and an application service established via a first network. The device may receive, via the application service, a network address of the client associated with a second network. The device may determine a location of the client accessing the application service via the first network based at least on the network address associated with the second network. The device may receive, from an instrumentation service, performance factors for the client. Each of the performance factors may be associated with access to the application service by the client. The device may generate a user experience score for the client based at least on the performance factors. The device may provide an instruction based at least on an association between the user experience score and the location.

Abstract: A method includes: detecting, by a computing device, a copy action involving a social-meta-string (SMS) in a message; determining, by the computing device, a copy count of the SMS is greater than a count threshold; determining, by the computing device, a content score of the message is greater than a content threshold; determining, by the computing device, whether a fact check score of the message is greater than a fact check threshold; in response to the fact check score of the message being greater than the fact check threshold, permitting sending of the message; and in response to the fact check score of the message being less than the fact check threshold, blocking the sending of the message.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for resource isolation and consumption in an application server environment. The system can provide, at one or more computers, including an application server environment executing thereon, a plurality of resources which can be used within the application server environment, and one or more partitions, wherein each partition provides an administrative and runtime subdivision of a domain. The system can also configure a resource consumption management module to monitor each partition's usage of the plurality of resources. The resource consumption management module can comprise at least one member of the group consisting of resource reservations, resource constraints, and resource notifications.

Abstract: Technologies are provided for a multi-cloud bursting service. An example method can include receiving, via a cloud bursting service associated with different clouds, a cloud bursting configuration enabling the cloud bursting service for a local compute environment; based on the cloud bursting configuration, determining a number of jobs in a jobs queue associated with one or more cloud environments from the different clouds; determining a number of nodes available to process the number of jobs in the jobs queue; based on the number of jobs in the jobs queue and number of nodes available, determining whether to spin up a new node, take offline an existing node, or shutdown the existing node to yield a determination; and based on the determination and cloud bursting configuration, performing a cloud bursting action including spinning up the new node, taking offline the existing node, or shutting down the existing node.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting suspicious activities surrounding the management of controlled substances in a medical facility is described herein, where the activities that may indicate the diversion of controlled drugs are flagged for further review. The activities are detected by reviewing application layer network packets, related to controlled substances, on the medical facility network, identifying the physical location of the origin of the packet, and processing these packets with a rules engine and machine learning generated rules to make a determination if the circumstances surrounding the packets indicate the diversion of controlled substances.

Abstract: The described embodiments transfer an activity from a source electronic device to a companion electronic device. The source electronic device receives activity information describing an activity performed in a first application at the source electronic device, determines an activity identifier for the activity information, and broadcasts an activity advertisement comprising the activity identifier. Upon receiving the activity advertisement, the companion electronic device determines whether a second application that is associated with the first application is available at the companion electronic device. If the second application is available, the companion electronic device requests extended activity data from the source electronic device. The source electronic device responds by sending extended activity data from the first application to the companion electronic device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for redirecting control of a process performed on a browser application on a user device accessing a web application to a native application on the user device include receiving, through a web application controlling a process, a request to perform an action (e.g., user authentication). A determination is made whether the request identifies a native application feature for completing the action that is preferable over a web application feature for completing the same action. In response to the action being determined to be completed by a native application feature, a determination is then made as to whether the native application feature is enabled by the native application. In response to determining the native application feature is enabled, control of the process is redirected from the web application to the native application such that the native application completes the action using the native application feature.

It may be determined that the first message comprises information indicative of an email address associated with an email participant. At least one database may store an association between the email address and the conversation. The messaging service may generate an identifier for identifying the conversation by an external email service associated with the email address and send the identifier to the external email service associated with the email address.

Abstract: A distributed system that implements an online exchange may comprise a plurality of server nodes, each of which being configured to receive exchange transaction proposals from customers of the online exchange over a computer network and each being configured to store a copy of a blockchain distributed ledger of completed exchange transactions. A distributed coordination engine may be coupled, over the computer network, to the plurality of server nodes and may receive a plurality of exchange transaction proposals from the plurality of server nodes. The distributed coordination engine may be being further configured to achieve consensus on the plurality of exchange transaction proposals and to generate, in response, an ordering of agreed-upon exchange transaction proposals that includes the plurality of exchange transaction proposals on which consensus has been reached.
