  • Patent number: 11100427
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a computation system for learning a classifier from a data set and associated classification data. The system comprises multiple data devices and multiple computation devices. The data set and associated classification data is stored across the multiple data devices. Classifier parameters of the classifier are learned iteratively from the data set. The learning comprises computing local error terms for the classifier from the associated classification data and from classifier results obtained from applying the classifier with the current classifier parameters to the local part of the data set, and providing the local error term as a private input to the multiple computation devices for a multi-party computation among the multiple computation devices.

  • Patent number: 11087369
Abstract: An online system provides content based on context of host content. The online system allows content providers to define specific context for providing their content for display to users, including specifying categories, format, popularity, and visual appearance of host content eligible for hosting their content. To determine which content a specific content item is eligible for hosting, the online system categories host content items according to specific criteria defined by different content providers for hosting various content. Each content is indexed by classification groups into which the host content items are classified. If a particular content item includes an opportunity for presenting content, the online system identifies content which the particular content item is eligible for hosting. The online system selects one or more identified content for presentation via the opportunity.

  • Patent number: 11080737
Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for generating affiliate links that may be shared between users of computing devices. A method of the invention may include the steps of receiving from a server system a user identifier of a client system (e.g. smartphone with client application) and persistently storing the client identifier at the client system. Information identifying an item such as a product or retailer may be displayed as well as an indication of a single action to be performed (e.g. “share” button) to generate an affiliate link from the product information. In response to the indicated single action being performed, the client system automatically sends relevant item information and user information to the server system which creates an affiliate link by referring to a database of affiliate information.

  • Patent number: 11074626
Abstract: When detecting selection of a source application stored in a storage section in a user device, a controller outputs to the user device an advertisement link related to a destination application associated with the source. When the advertisement link is selected in the user device, the controller guides the user device to the destination application. The controller acquires completion state information on a mission in the destination application associated with the user ID of the user of the user device, and stores the completion state information in the storage section. When the completion state information meets a predetermined condition, the controller provides the completion state information to the source application in order to give an incentive to the user in the source application.

  • Patent number: 11068935
Abstract: A computer-implemented method can facilitate delivery of targeted content to user devices in situations in which historic tracking data (e.g., cookie data) is generally unavailable and/or unreliable. A p-dimensional embedding of websites can be generated based on a group of user devices for whom tracking data is available. Conversion event data that indicates indicating whether that audience member performed a conversion action can be received. A machine learning model can be trained using the conversion event data and the positions of websites appearing in the conversion event data within the p-dimensional embedding to predict a likelihood of conversion and/or a type of content to provide given a position in the p-dimensional embedding. When an indication that a user device is accessing a website is received, a position of that website in the p-dimensional embedding can be determined and targeted content can be delivered to the user device.
