Abstract: Photo-crosslinkable antifouling compositions, in particular antibacterial, antifungal and anti-algae ones, which include the combination of at least one telechelic oligoisoprene of a particular formula with an agent for crosslinking the oligoisoprene. The antifouling film is obtained by applying a thin layer of such a liquid composition on a substrate and is crosslinked at room temperature by exposure to visible and/or UV radiations. The film can be used for preventing the occurrence of a biofilm on any surface in a humid or aqueous environment, and can be used as an additive for preparing materials with a view to imparting bacteriostatic and/or bactericidal properties thereto.

Abstract: The performance of a mammal, manifested as a reduced oxygen uptake (VO2) during physical exercise, can be enhanced by administering to said mammal a non-toxic amount of nitrate and/or nitrite. Liquid, semi-solid and solid snack and food products and nutritional supplements, such as sport drinks are made available.
Abstract: A cosmetic composition for nails containing a plasticizer of natural origin, a derivative of sorbitol, and the use of isosorbide diester as a plasticizer in cosmetic compositions for nails.
Abstract: Microspheres, typically sterile, inert, silica glass microspheres, are dispersed in a carrier suitable for use relative to the object to be imaged and analyzed. In the case of ophthalmic imaging, an ophthalmically-acceptable gel is used and the resulting composition is dispensed into a mammalian eye. The gel and microspheres dispersed therein coat and conform to the surface of the eye. The microspheres enhance reflectance from the eye which improves signal-to-noise ratio and improves imaging quality.
Abstract: An antiseptic composition suitable for use on skin and wounds comprising a source of an antimicrobial agent and an agent which disrupts biofilms.
