  • Patent number: 6599169
Abstract: The present invention relates to a suspension system for a toy vehicle. The suspension system is independent in that it comprises at least four damping mechanisms (shock absorber), each shock absorber being located proximal to each wheel location. Each shock absorber utilizes a tensioning device, such as a compressed spring, positioned between the toy vehicle chassis and a suspension arm, to provide the active damping feature of the invention. Each shock absorber also utilizes an adjustment means, such as a screw, to selectively change the distance between the suspension arm and chassis. As the screw is adjusted, so the spring is either more or less compressed, providing for a stiffer (more compressed) or a softer (less compressed) suspension.

  • Patent number: 6547623
Abstract: An illuminated flying disk with three concentric rings located on its upper surface, each ring made up of a plurality of independently addressable individual light bulbs which enables it to be seen even under low ambient lighting conditions. The bottom surface of the disk has a centrally located battery housing unit for holding the batteries and a control unit. Adjacent to the battery storage unit is an on/off switch and a mode selector which allows a choice of three settings for the light display system. The first setting provides for constant emission of light from all bulbs at all times. The second setting provides for a lighting effect which entails sequential lighting of adjacent individual bulbs located on each ring, thereby imparting an illusion of moving light around the ring. The third setting allows for alternate flashing between successive rings. By choosing one of the three settings, the user determines which visual effect to enable.

  • Patent number: 6540518
Abstract: An educational system for teaching individuals their emotions employs a multiplicity of sets of faces. Each set of faces expresses a different emotion experienced by individuals from time to time. The sets of faces have facial expressions correlated to the different emotions. There are a plurality of states of the particular emotion that are expressed in the facial expressions of each set of faces. The states defined for each of the different emotions are subdued, normal and exaggerated states. The facial expressions on the faces employ certain facial features to express the particular emotions, namely, eyes, eyebrows, a mouth and a nose. These facial features are enclosed in a facial circle. The sizes of these facial features relative to the facial circle change from one state of a particular emotion to another and are smallest in the subdued state, largest in the exaggerated state and inbetween and balanced in the normal state.
