Patent number: 10246893Abstract: An apparatus for repairing a fluid leak, thru a crack within the body of a pool return fitting, or in a pipe of close proximity to a pool return fitting, wherein an apparatus comprising of two specially shaped cylindrical flow-thru rubber plugs, wherein a threaded tube thru the center of the rubber plugs, being separated by a spacer sealed with rubber washers and rigid washers, are retained at one end by a flare in said tube, and threaded on the other end, secured by a locking nut over a rigid washer against a conical wedge. When the locking nut is tightened, the rubber plugs radially expands within the return line pipe and the pool return fitting, sealing any leak occurring between the pool return fitting and the return line pipe, wherein fluid may still pass thru the center tube. A return eyeball cap is threaded onto the center tube, wherein the eyeball is threaded female internally. The apparatus may be installed in a pool with or without water in the pool.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Inventor: Steven E. Thompson

Patent number: 10226780Abstract: A electrostatic powder feeder includes a body having a cavity. The cavity is shaped and sized to hold a supply of powder particles and is defined by a cavity wall. A diverter is disposed in the cavity and positioned away from the cavity wall so as to create a powder flow space between the diverter and cavity wall. The feeder includes an electrode and a powder landing surface connected to a power supply. The electrode is positioned remotely from the powder landing surface at a distance at which it can act upon powder resting upon the powder landing surface. An aperture through which powder particles may fall is disposed in or proximate to the powder landing surface. An insulator is positioned between the electrode and the powder landing surface. The power supply produces an alternating electric potential that creates an alternating electric field between the electrode and powder landing surface that causes powder particles to oscillate and eventually fall through the aperture.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2018Date of Patent: March 12, 2019Assignee: Powder Motion Labs, LLCInventors: Connor L. Patent number: 10179339Abstract: A bubbler assembly including a pipe that telescopes relative to a surface of a pool or spa such that an exit opening of the bubbler is closer to the water surface than is conventionally possible. When in the initial position, a first end of the telescoping pipe is flush or substantially flush with the surface of the pool or the spa. When in the extended position, the first end of the telescoping pipe is adjacent the water surface, which is spaced apart from the surface of the pool or spa. By transferring the exit opening of the bubbler to a location adjacent the water surface, the plume need travel only a small distance through the main body of water before penetrating the water surface.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2016Date of Patent: January 15, 2019Assignee: Zodiac Pool Systems LLCInventors: Roy Archer, Joseph A.
