  • Patent number: 10997666
Abstract: A computer implemented method for determining one or more idling time windows from a vehicle trip is presented. A data server may receive, via a computer network, a plurality of telematics data originating from a client computing device and identify primary movement data from the plurality of telematics data. The data server may also measure a total variance from the plurality of telematics data at one or more time stamps and determine an average total variance for an entire trip from the plurality of telematics data. The data server may further normalize total variance at the one or more time stamps using the generated average and determine one or more idling time windows from the normalized total variance.

  • Patent number: 10965681
Abstract: The mobile device stores a plurality of communication profiles comprising one or more local communication profiles and a global communication profile. The mobile device determines local access requirements for connecting to a local cellular network operator and determines whether the plurality of communication profiles comprises a local communication profile that satisfies the local access requirements. When the plurality of communication profiles does not comprise a local communication profile that satisfies the local access requirements: the mobile device connects to a global cellular network operator using the global communication profile; receives, from the global cellular network operator, a new local communication profile that satisfies the local access requirements and connects to the local cellular network operator using the new local communication profile.

  • Patent number: 10949915
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards employing a non-repudiation process for consumer credit requests based on an affirmative authentication of a one-time-pin (“OTP”) generated from a consumer biometric smartcard. The biometric smartcard may authenticate biometric information (e.g. fingerprint, facial image, iris image, or the like) of the consumer based on biometric templates stored on the biometric smartcard. In at least some of the various embodiments, the OTP may be authenticated by an identity authority, such that an associated credit request to a provider may be authenticated. In some embodiments, the provider may request and utilize a credit report for an authentic credit request to determine whether or not the consumer has an acceptable credit rating. If the consumer has an acceptable credit rating, then the provider may provide credit to the consumer.

  • Patent number: 10902520
Abstract: An automated system that analyzes network accessible data sources to determine a score that measures compliance of an investment with a compliance policy. The compliance policy may specify for example ESG (Environment, Social, or Governance) requirements, or prohibitions against selling of certain products and services considered undesirable or unethical by certain investors. Compliance analysis may determine the amount of revenue or income received from prohibited sources, or it may search information for key words and phrases related to these sources. The system may “purify” noncompliant investments by bundling them with charitable contributions that offset the income from prohibited sources. Fund managers may publish and share compliance policy definitions, and may import these shared definitions and customize them for their specific fund requirements.

  • Patent number: 10510046
Abstract: Proactive resolution of coordination of benefits (COB) issues is provided. Payer data is received as membership files from a plurality of payers, the payer data including eligibility and member demographic data. Upon detection of new or modified information, a normalizing engine may be utilized to normalize name information, address information, and social security number information into a format for comparing with other stored payer data according to various rules. A matching engine may be utilized to compare the normalized payer data against other insurance provider data to determine COB instances by discovering matches or partial-matches of member information. A set of rules may be applied to determine a primary versus a secondary payer. An output file, which may comprise matches and COB determinations, raw data, and a web interface for accessing archived reports and files and to generate individual member searches, may be provided to one or more payers.

  • Patent number: 10482536
Abstract: A computer-assisted method for providing re-quotations for insurance coverage may include receiving a list of insurance leads corresponding to individuals who received a previous quotation for insurance coverage but did not purchase the insurance coverage and identifying a difference between the previous quotation and a new quotation. This difference may include an increase in offered insurance coverage and/or a reduction in cost. A computing device may calculate a probability for each of the individuals on the list using a regression model based, at least in part, on the identified difference. In some cases, the regression model may be associated with individual states. In other cases, the regression model may correspond to a plurality of states. The regression model may output a probability that a resident of a particular state will purchase insurance in response to a re-quotation for insurance coverage, where individuals may then be ranked based on the probability.

  • Patent number: 10460392
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are disclosed for providing a web-based application that allows a customer to submit relevant information for obtaining insurance policy products that may require medical underwriting. Various aspects allow a customer to use the web-based application for a variety of insurance products, which may include term, full, and/or universal life insurance policies. The web-based application simplifies the application process by filtering questions and/or prompts presented to the customer based upon a customer's specific needs, previous answers, and/or other information. Various aspects also include determining whether a customer qualifies for temporary or permanent life insurance coverage based upon a customer's information and/or answers to one or more knockout questions, and if so, providing the customer with a binding receipt of temporary insurance coverage upon payment for a period of time in which the underwriting may be completed.

  • Patent number: 10331874
Abstract: A device may receive an input that indicates a request to initiate a transaction at an ATM device. The device may instruct the user to capture one or more images of the ATM device. The device may determine that an image has been captured and process the image to determine first information that identifies the ATM device. The device may send the first information to a server device and receive a signal that indicates the ATM device has been validated. The device may cause an augmented reality (AR) overlay to be displayed, wherein the AR overlay includes second information related to authenticating the user to the ATM device. The device may determine whether a user action is performed with respect to the second information included in the AR overlay, and perform a device action related to the second information, the ATM device, or the AR overlay.

  • Patent number: 10332209
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for an automated system for analyzing damage to process claims associated with an insured item, such as a vehicle. An enhanced claims processing server may analyze damage associated with the insured item using photos/video transmitted to the server from a user device (e.g., a mobile device). The enhanced claims processing server may submit a signal that locks one or more portions of an application on the mobile device used to submit the photos/videos. The mobile device may receive feedback from the server regarding the acceptability of submitted photos/video. The photos may further be annotated using, for example, a touch screen display. An estimate, such as a cost estimate, may be determined for the damage associated with the insured item based on the photos and/or annotations.
