Abstract: An image forming apparatus including: a reading device; an operating portion; a light source; a rotary polygon mirror; a motor configured to rotate the rotary polygon mirror; and a motor control portion configured to start the motor to control the motor at a first rotation speed in response to a fact that a predetermined action is performed on one of the operating portion and the reading device in a stopped state of the rotary polygon mirror, and then to control the motor at a second rotation speed higher than the first rotation speed in response to an instruction to start image formation from the operating portion, the motor control portion being configured to control the motor at the second rotation speed, without controlling the motor at the first rotation speed, in response to a fact that the receiving portion receives image data before the motor reaches the first rotation speed.
Abstract: Provided is an image forming system where a plurality of image forming apparatuses for printing an image on a sheet based on a job, and outputting the image are connected with one another in a communicable manner, including a communication unit to carry out the communication, and a control unit to manage the job, and control the communication unit, where the control unit divides the job for sequentially processing a plurality of steps into a plurality of divided step jobs, executes a former part of the divided step jobs on an image forming apparatus which can execute the former part of the divided step jobs, and reserves a latter part of the divided step jobs on an image forming apparatus which can execute the latter part of the divided step jobs, and is different from the image forming apparatus, thereby enabling efficient execution of the job.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for accurately emulating a printer on a computing device that is not connected to the printer. The computing device is provided with firmware and programming code that interfaces with the firmware for a customized printing operation. The firmware is provided with the printer and the computing device. The programming code is provided with the computing device, and the computing device runs the programming code. The programming code interfaces with the firmware provided with the computing device and causes the computing device to emulate the printer, when the printer runs the programming code. The computing device and the printer are not connected.

A first high-frequency encoding circuit encodes a high-frequency range based on a low-frequency subband signal and a high-frequency subband signal and obtains a high-frequency code amount. The disclosure further provides a method for modifying an individual's voice dimensions. The method comprises identifying one or more dimensions in an individual's vocal dimensions that are to be modified. On an electronic device, a voice exercise is created by selecting at least one parameter that modifies the one or more dimensions in an individual's voice. Instructions created by the electronic device that are based on the selection of at least one parameter are then followed by the individual.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, the media reuse determination apparatus has a decoding section, a reusability determination section, and an output section. The decoding section decodes information related to management of a print media attached to the print media obtained by using a reading apparatus to read the object having the information recorded thereon, and it carries out error correction during decoding of the information.
