Abstract: Metering valve for dispensing a fluid product, having a valve body containing a metering chamber defined by a chamber insert and two annular seals, a valve seal and a chamber seal. The chamber insert has a cylindrical wall, an upper edge cooperating with the valve seal and a lower edge that cooperates with the chamber seal. A valve slides axially in the valve body between a rest position and a dispensing position, so as to selectively dispense the contents of the metering chamber, the valve being urged towards its rest position by a spring that cooperates with the valve body and with the valve. The upper edge of the chamber insert has an annular cutout formed on the radially inner side of the upper edge, so that the width of the upper edge in contact with the valve seal is always the same, whatever the width of the cylindrical wall.

Abstract: The present invention is a device and method for dispensing liquids in glass containers. The invention can be used to spray liquids from non-threaded glass containers that do not typically otherwise have a mechanism for spraying. Furthermore, this allows the user of the liquid to use the original container and avoid transferring the liquid from the original container. An adapter is fitted into the neck of an appropriate glass container, such as an olive oil bottle, and a sprayer may be threaded onto the adapter.

Abstract: A liquid dosing system is disclosed and can include a cartridge comprising a reservoir configured to store an additive, an output vessel in fluid communication with the reservoir, and a cartridge outlet in fluid communication with the output vessel. The liquid dosing system can include a housing that includes a water passage configured to direct water though the liquid dosing system and a receiving portion configured to at least partially receive the cartridge when the cartridge is connected to the housing. The receiving portion can include a receiving port in fluid communication with the water passage, and the receiving port can be configured to receive at least some of the additive from the cartridge outlet when the cartridge is connected to the housing. The receiving portion can include a motor configured to engage in mechanical communication with the output vessel when the cartridge is connected to the housing.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a valve for dispensing flowable product from a container under pressure, the valve comprising a stem, a seal coupled to the stem, and a mounting cup configured to mount the valve to the container, wherein each of the stem, seal, and mounting cup comprises a recyclable plastic, and wherein the valve is free from a gasket configured to surround an opening of the container to form a seal between the valve and the container. Also provided herein is a container for dispensing a flowable product under pressure comprising the valve as described above.

Abstract: A system for emptying a container containing a fluid is provided. The system includes a pumping unit with at least one pump, a scraping plate arranged at a first end of the pump, and a motor arranged at a second end of the pump. A pneumatic cylinder is operatively active on the pumping unit for moving it inside a container. A supply circuit supplies air to the pumping unit below the scraping plate. A control unit utilizes first and second sensors and is configured at least to activate the pump via the motor, stop the descent of the pumping unit and deactivate the pump, enable or interrupt communication between the pumping unit and the air supply circuit, and force the cylinder to exert a first force on the pumping unit after deactivating the pump and exert a second force on the pumping unit in response to the first sensor.

The coaxial cartridge has a hollow-cylindrical inner wall, a outer wall arranged coaxially around the inner wall, an inner chamber for a first component that is delimited radially by the inner wall, an outer chamber for a second component that lies radially between the inner wall and outer wall, and a front wall which firmly closes the two chambers on an end face of the cartridge and has a dispensing opening in each chamber. The support structure is designed to receive and hold the cartridge, and has a side wall shaped like a tube portion. An inner diameter of the side wall is varied or can be adjusted in the axial and/or radial direction of the support structure, adjusted when the cartridge is inserted and removed, or adjusted during the pressing-out process.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a hopper housing, a first auger, a second auger, a dividing panel, and a motor. The hopper housing holds a bulk material, with the hopper housing including a first end at which the bulk material is added to the hopper housing and a second end comprising a discharge opening at which the bulk material exits the hopper housing. The first auger is disposed proximate to the discharge opening. The second auger is disposed between the first end of the hopper housing and the first auger. The dividing panel is disposed between the first auger and the second auger and the dividing panel is coupled to the hopper housing at the first side thereof and forming a panel opening between the hopper housing and the second side thereof. The motor rotates the first auger and the second auger to move the bulk material into the discharge opening.

Abstract: A liquid dispenser for dispensing a consumable liquid from a container. The dispenser includes a cabinet configured to receive one or more containers in an inverted position such that liquid is induced by gravity to flow out of an open interior of the container though a dispensing opening. A positive pressure valve assembly is mounted to the dispensing opening of the container prior to insertion of the container into the cabinet. The valve assembly includes a cap connected to the dispensing opening and a discharge tube extending from the cap. A flow restrictor of the valve assembly is positioned to selectively open and close the discharge tube to control the flow of liquid from the container. A one-way valve is positioned between the open interior of the container and a supply of air. The one-way valve allows air flow into the container as the fluid is discharged to maintain a positive pressure within the container.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a flowable food product from a flexible reservoir supported by the dispenser is provided. The dispenser includes a frame and a body coupled to the frame. The body defines a cavity for receiving the flexible reservoir. The body includes: a bottom wall defining an opening; a sloped wall extending upward from the bottom wall and the opening, the sloped wall promoting a flow of flowable food product from the flexible reservoir towards the opening; and a pair of side walls extending upward from the bottom wall and the sloped wall. The dispenser further includes a fitment acceptor at least partly received in the opening. Additionally, a shape of the fitment acceptor corresponds with a shape of the opening such that the fitment acceptor is only correctly received in the opening one way.

Abstract: An aerosol sprayer may be connected to an aerosol container to form an aerosol delivery system. The aerosol sprayer includes a base secured to the container, a cap secured to the base, a pivoting trigger and a sliding nozzle body with an integrated nozzle/manifold which is slidably movable relative to the trigger between an extended operable position and a retracted, locked position. The nozzle includes flexible articulating wall structures adjacent to the manifold to accommodate movement of the nozzle body. The nozzle and trigger have interfitting locking structures to prevent actuation of the trigger when the nozzle is in the retracted locked position.

Abstract: A method of warming food dispensable from an aerosol dispenser. The aerosol dispenser is made from materials which can go into a single recycling stream having a single class of materials, as defined by the Society of the Plastics Industry, and particularly may exclusively comprise Class 1 materials suitable for eating in a microwave oven. Consumer products, such as food, contained in the aerosol dispenser may be heated in a microwave oven prior to dispensing. Upon dispensing, food retains residual heat, and is suitable for eating or further cooking. Other heated products in the aerosol dispenser may be comfortably applied to the skin, used as air freshener, used for cleaning, etc. The aerosol dispenser may have indicia indicating the aerosol dispenser is suitable for microwave heating. The aerosol dispenser can have indicia indicating the aerosol dispenser is suitable for heating in a microwave oven. The indicia may be thermochromic, indicating when a desired temperature has been reached.
