Abstract: A method of manipulation of content provided by a hosting server using swipe gesture recognition on a user device having a touch input display. The method includes storing the content, combined with a swipe gesture recognition module to form a content package, on the hosting server. The swipe gesture recognition module is associated with at least one displayable content element of the content. The method further includes receiving, at the hosting server, a request for the content package from the user device and transmitting the content package from the hosting server to the user device for display by an application running on the user device. A defined action is applied to the at least one displayable content element if it is determined that a swipe gesture has occurred on the at least one displayable content element.

Abstract: When the user enters a request for moving a viewpoint, whether or not a displayed area is encompassed in a link area that is set for an active image is kept monitored. When the displayed area is encompassed, a corresponding link is determined to be valid, and an image of a link destination mapped to the link area is displayed. Whether or not the displayed area moves outside of a link area set for an image of a link origin is further monitored. If even a part of the displayed area moves outside of the link area, a corresponding link is determined to be invalid, and the display is switched back to the image of the link origin. If none of the above-stated conditions applies, the initial image continues to be displayed while moving the displayed area according to the movement of the viewpoint within the active image.

Abstract: A multimedia data processing device for providing a graphic user interface includes a multimedia data processing unit configured to process a plurality of multimedia data corresponding respectively to a plurality of sources; an icon generating unit configured to generate a plurality of icons corresponding respectively to the plurality of sources; and a controller configured to control updating at least one of the plurality of icons to reflect a usage history of the at least one of the plurality of icons.

Abstract: A method and apparatus providing a user interface for an Internet service are provided. The user interface providing apparatus displays an nth Web page including at least one hyperlink on a screen, senses a direction of a gesture, determines a hyperlink indicating one of a previous Web page and next Web page to a current Web page from among the at least one hyperlink based on the gesture direction, and displays a Web page indicated by the determined hyperlink on the screen.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for associating comments with playback of media content. In these methods, systems, and devices, a selection of a screen location during the playback of the media content may be received from a user at an input device. A comment associated with the media content may also be received. The comment may be associated with the selected screen location at the input device. A data store may store the association of the selected screen location with the comment. A playback device may receive the comment and the associated screen location from a data store, monitor the playback of the media content to identify a point during the playback of the media content that is associated with the comment, and display an indication that the comment is associated with the screen location at the point during the playback that is associated with the comment.

Abstract: Systems and methods that facilitate the setup and visualization of a configurable process, for example a chromatography experiment to be conducted using a configurable chromatography system. A user interface displays category regions representing sections of a process, and displays a plurality of selectable items representing components appropriate for placement in the category regions. A user interface control causes selection of one of the selectable items and placement of the selected item into one of the category regions, to define a selected process configuration. The user interface control may be a scrolling control that causes a set of selectable items appropriate for placement in the respective category region to scroll through the category region. When the computer displaying the user interface is also connected to the system being configured, the user interface may also facilitate setup, monitoring, and control of the resulting process.

Abstract: A server chassis includes a server, a chassis management controller, and a local interface card. The server includes a controller that is configured to provide a remote user with access to a controller communication portal of the server via a remote access controller graphical user interface, and to send a message from the controller communication portal to a chassis management controller. The chassis management controller is configured to receive the message, to determine that the message is for a local interface card, and to send the message to the local interface card. The local interface card is configured to display the message on a screen connected to the local interface card, to detect a communication request, to display a communication interface at the screen, to receive a reply message via the communication interface, and to send the reply message to the chassis management controller.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for managing a plurality of applications via a single interface. It is initially identified as to which of a plurality of applications are installed on a computer. A status of each of the applications is then presented via a single graphical user interface.

Abstract: Described is a system and method for controlling the state and capabilities of a meeting room automatically based on the content being presented. The system can detect certain states (such as transitions to a demo, or question-and-answer sessions) based on content of slides, and can automatically switch displays and other devices in a meeting room to accommodate these new states.

Abstract: A system and method for anomaly detection and presentation. The method of anomaly detection and presentation comprises receiving information for a plurality of traits from a plurality of servers. A first server has fewer of the plurality of traits than a second server. A first trait is on fewer of the plurality of servers than a second trait. The plurality of servers is rendered in a graphical display wherein the first server is positioned to one side of the second server based on respective numbers of traits had by the first and second servers. The first trait is rendered in the graphical display to one side of the second trait based on respective numbers of systems having the first and second traits. A table may be displayed in a cell in response to a user request. Anomalous traits may be displayed in an anomaly table.

Abstract: Data is received that characterizes infusions administered to a patient among each of a plurality of infusion channels. Thereafter, a plurality of infusion events and respective event times are identified based on the received data. A temporal view of the infusion events can then be displayed in a graphical user interface and/or the temporal view of the infusion events can form part of a report. The temporal view segregates each channel into a separate swim lane with each swim lane visualizing infusion events for the corresponding channel at the respective event times. Abstract: An electronic device with a display, processor(s), and memory displays a video monitoring user interface including a video feed from a camera located remotely from the client device in a first region and an event timeline in a second region, the event timeline including event indicators for motion events previously detected by the camera. The electronic device detects a user input selecting a portion of the event timeline, where the selected portion of the event timeline includes a subset of the event indicators. In response to the user input, the electronic device causes generation of a time-lapse video clip of the selected portion of the event timeline. The electronic device displays the time-lapse video clip, where motion events corresponding to the subset of the event indicators are played at a slower speed than the remainder of the selected portion of the event timeline.

The method also includes using a processor to determine a purpose of the user input, modifying an object group with respect to the virtual object based on the purpose of the user input, and storing the relationship between the object group and the object in a memory area.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method is provided for providing a flexible content selection capability for selecting a specific portion of content displayed on a touch-screen display of a user's computing device. In response to receiving user input including a plurality of touch points detected within a content display area of the touch-screen display, a relative location of each detected touch point is determined with respect to the content display area. Content displayed within a portion of the first content display area of the touch-screen display is automatically selected based on the determined relative locations of the plurality of detected touch points. A content selection region including the selected content is graphically presented within the content display area. A context menu including user options for invoking functions related to the selected content is then displayed in association with the content selection region via the touch-screen display.

Abstract: System and methods for audio editing are provided. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method is provided. The computer-implemented method includes presenting a visual representation of digital audio data as a frequency spectrum including a first visual region corresponding to a first time period and a first frequency range in the digital audio data. A first user input identifies a second visual region within the first visual region and corresponding to a second time period and a second frequency range. A second user input specifies one or more frequency modifications to the second visual region. The second time period and the second frequency range corresponding to the second visual region are modified creating a modified second visual region. The modified second visual region is mixed into the first visual region creating edited digital audio data.

A storage unit stores installed items, a UI generator generates a UI including a first area to display the installed items and a second area to display installable items, a display unit displays the generated UI, and, if one of the items displayed on the second area is selected, a controller displays a process of moving the selected item moved to the first area.

Abstract: A workflow design system provides user interface controls that allow a workflow author to focus on the steps of the workflow before deciding on how to control the flow of the workflow. With the system, an author can change the control flow of a workflow without re-ordering the sequence of steps within the workflow. The workflow design system allows the author to define a sequence of steps and then drag a control block over these steps to capture them within the control block. The author can also later remove the control block without affecting the sequence of steps if his needs change. In addition, the system presents error-handling workflows side-by-side with the main workflow, so that the author can modify the main workflow and notice the effects and any corresponding changes for error handling workflows at the same time.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein accept a user-selected adjustment position associated with a value-selection display screen widget. A non-linear calculation is performed on the user-selected adjustment position, a length of the screen widget, a smallest represented value associated with a range of values, a largest represented value associated with a range of values, and/or an adjustment granularity associated with the display screen widget. The non-linear calculation determines a selected value corresponding to the user-selected adjustment position. The selected value is then sent to a physical output device. Additional embodiments are disclosed and claimed.
