  • Patent number: 10650535
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a measurement device includes a processing circuitry. A plurality of images are captured in time series by an image capturing unit installed in a moving object. The processing circuitry identifies a region in which other moving object moving in surroundings of the moving object is present for each of the images, based on position and direction information of the moving object, and moving object information of the other moving object. The processing circuitry estimates position and posture of the image capturing unit based on the images. The processing circuitry searches for sets of corresponding points among non-moving object regions in the respective images. The processing circuitry performs 3D measurement based on the position and posture of the image capturing unit and the sets of the corresponding points.

  • Patent number: 10523904
Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes at least one camera having a field of view exterior the vehicle. An image processor is operable to process image data captured by the camera. When the vehicle is parked, a control controls the camera to capture frames of image data at a first capture rate. The control compares a frame of captured imaged data to at least one previous frame of captured image data. Responsive to the comparison determining a change in the frames of captured image data beyond a threshold degree of change, (i) the control increases the capture rate to a second capture rate, (ii) the at least one camera captures frames of image data at the second capture rate and (iii) the control activates a recording device to record images captured by the camera at the second capture rate.

  • Patent number: 10469829
Abstract: An information processor acquires a stereo image from an imaging device. A detection plane definition portion defines a detection plane in a three-dimensional space of a camera coordinate system of a first camera. A feature quantity calculation portion generates feature point image of left and right images. A parallax correction area derivation portion derives an area as a parallax correction area, which is obtained by moving, to a left, an area of the right image identical to the detection area of the left image. A matching portion performs matching for the feature point images of each area, thus deriving a highly rated feature point. A position information output portion generates information to be used by an output information generation section based on the matching result.

  • Patent number: 10187661
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for context-adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) of a syntax element, the bin string corresponding to the syntax element is processed by context-adaptive arithmetic coding with a reduced number of contexts using the bin-level bypass mode, bin-level context sharing, or both. The syntax element belongs to a group comprising merge_idx, ref_idx_1c/ref_idx_10/ref_idx_11, pred_type, and cu_qp_delta. In one embodiment, the syntax element corresponds to merge_idx and three bins of the bin string with bin indices corresponding to 1, 2 and 3 are coded in the bin by-pass mode. In another embodiment, the syntax element corresponds to ref_idx_1c/ref_idx_10/ref_idx_11 and one or more bins of the bin string with bin indices larger than 1 for larger than 2 are coded in the bin bypass mode.

  • Patent number: 10142544
Abstract: A wide angle video camera system which eliminates barrel distortion and increases the field of view by combining multiple images. Image distortion may be corrected through use of a jig to determine the field of view and distortion parameters of a camera lens. From these measurements, one may calculate the amount of adjustment needed at various points in the image. Once the image correction parameters are determined for a particular camera lens, the real time image obtained from the camera may be corrected immediately, without the need for post image processing to correct for distortion. As multiple overlapping images may be immediately corrected, they may also be instantaneously aligned and combined into a single image.
