  • Patent number: 10140687
Abstract: A wide angle video camera system which eliminates barrel distortion and increase the field of view by combining multiple images. Image distortion may be corrected through use of a jig to determine the field of view and distortion parameters of a camera lens. From these measurements, one may calculate the amount of adjustment needed at various points in the image. Once the image correction parameters are determined for a particular camera lens, the real time image obtained from the camera may be corrected immediately, without the need for post image processing to correct for distortion. As multiple overlapping images may be immediately corrected, they may also be instantaneously aligned and combined into a single image.

  • Patent number: 10091511
Abstract: A technique for encoding a video signal includes generating a representative value for each block of one or more video frames by applying a predetermined function to the pixels of the respective block. To perform a block matching operation for a current block, the technique applies the predetermined function to the current block and interrogates representative values of blocks at specified locations in a spatial and/or temporal vicinity of the current block to find a matching block whose representative value matches the one generated for the current block.

  • Patent number: 9784571
Abstract: To obtain a three-dimensional virtual reconstruction of a workpiece the workpiece is positioned on a display screen between the display screen and at least one imager wherein the imager acquires multiple images of the workpiece while (a) multiple light stripes are displayed and swept in a first directional orientation across the display screen, (b) multiple light stripes are displayed and swept in at least one second directional orientation across the display screen, and (c) multiple images for each position of the multiple light stripes at different exposure times are captured. From the multiple images, a difference caused by the workpiece in a width and a profile of the multiple light stripes is determined. That difference is used to calculate a depth value (z) of the workpiece at each imager pixel position (x, y). The calculated depth value is used to reconstruct a surface shape of the workpiece.
