Abstract: Reagents and methods for intracellular staining of anionic materials as provided. The inherent staining characteristics of a fluorescent molecule may be suitably altered by covalently linking a plurality of said molecules to a nonimmunoglobulin derived cationic polymer having the desired staining specificity. By careful selection of the net charge and size of the dye polymer complex, diffusion through the cellular membrane can be enhanced and an enhanced fluorescent signal obtained by localization of a plurality of fluorescent molecules at the site of interest.

Abstract: A process and liquid composition for cleaning, restoring and polishing a hard, porous surface wherein the composition contains from 0.1 to 4 weight percent of a surfactant, from 5 to 20 weight percent of a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, and from 76 to 94.9 weight percent of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 aliphatic alcohol. The composition may be applied to a variety of work surfaces such as work benches and kitchen counters, particularly porous surfaces such as slate, wood, vinyl, tile and rubber, wiped thereon and the surface allowed to dry.
Abstract: An injection moldable composite comprising an admixture of a polyetherketone such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK) matrix resin, a metal filler such as stainless steel fiber coated with a resin sizing soluble in the matrix resin, and glass fiber. The resulting molded form of the composite being electrically conductive and aluminum galvanic compatible.
Abstract: A low resistance non-permeable backfill especially for use in vertical anode beds for the cathodic protection of subsurface metallic structures includes a mixture of portland cement, calcined fluid petroleum coke, micro-size carbon rods and high structure carbon black mixed with water and pumped as a high density fluidized suspension into the anode bed, particularly around the casing of a deep anode bed of the general type described in U.S. Pat. No. 3,725,699 to Tatum.

Abstract: A primer composition comprising (A) a solvent-soluble polyorganosiloxane consisting essentially of R.sup.1 SiO.sub.3/2 units and R.sup.1 SiO units in a specific ratio, (B) an organosiloxane and/or a partial hydrolysis condensate thereof, the organosiloxane having more than two silicon-bonded hydrolyzable groups per molecule, (C) an electroconductive filler, (D) a curing catalyst, and (E) an organic solvent. The primer composition shows good coating properties and excellent storage stability. Primer film obtained from the primer composition has various excellent properties such as adhesiveness, electroconductivity, heat resistance and moisture resistance.
Abstract: A resistor composition comprising at least one electrically conductive powder selected from the group consisting of (a) tin oxide power and (b) powder resulting from heat treatment of tin oxide and tantalum oxide, a glass frit and double oxide of tantalum dispersed in an organic vehicle. In the resistor composition, the mixing amount of the double oxide of tantalum is preferably 30 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of the sum of the electrically conductive powder and the glass frit. The resistor composition provides highly reproducible thick film resistors having superior properties and high stability over a wide range of resistance by addition of the tantalum double oxides.
