  • Patent number: 7520483
Abstract: A leveling assembly (2) comprising at least two leveling elements (4, 6) and having an uppermost surface (10) for seating a free-standing object 18. Elements (4, 6) are generally wedge-shaped, have upper (10, 14) and lower (12, 16) surfaces angled to one another (38, 42), are adapted to be placed one on the other and rotated relative to one another in order to vary the angle between the uppermost and lowermost assembly (16) surfaces. The elements (4, 6) may have co-operating guiding means (78, 82) or co-operating connecting means (184, 187) to aid in rotating the elements (4, 6) relative to one another and to resist shifting. In addition, the surfaces (16, 56) of the elements (4, 52) may be adapted with concave or cavity portions (58) in order to allow better seating on a surface (8). Reference markings (22, 28) placed on the elements (4, 6) aid in determining a suitable rotation of the elements (4, 6) relative to one another in order to compensate for a given slope.

  • Patent number: 7424990
Abstract: A ducting system and method for managing fiber optic, or other sorts of cabling. The duct has perforated circular punchouts in its sides. To drop cables to equipment below, the user simply punches out one of the circular perforated sections in the duct. This will leave a hole, which is sized to receive a downspout. Instead of punchouts, holes for the downspout could simply be drilled in the initial product. Regardless, the downspout is dropped to its full extent through and out of the duct through the hole, and is then retained by a grommet which bears against the interior of the duct. Once the downspout is secured in the hole, the selected cables are dropped from the duct through the hole, down the downspout, and into standard ribbed flex tubing, which may be force fit onto the downspout.

  • Patent number: 7422188
Abstract: The present area of technology provides a device that may releasably hold an elongated cylindrical object such as a walking cane, a crutch, or a pole in a fixed position. The device is removably attached to the walking cane itself by a pair of elongated straps and provides positive clamping means to hold the cane against a stationary structure. The device has a handle that opens the clamp, which is inserted onto a planar structure to firmly hold a walking cane in position. In one aspect of the technology, the device is suitable for use with walking canes of various diameters. The technology also provides a coating to aid in the retention of the walking cane and to prevent slippage of the walking cane while the cane is disposed through a cylindrical portion of the cane holder.

  • Patent number: 7410143
Abstract: An adjusting structure is located between a bracing frame and a monitor for height adjustment by using slide-type mechanisms. The adjusting structure comprises a fixing base, a slide base, and a slide means, wherein several trenches are formed on the fixing base for holding the bracing frame. Two insertion trenches are oppositely formed on both sides of the fixing base for holding the slide base. The slide means is coupled with the monitor. When the user holds the both sides of the monitor, he can exactly hook and hold a braking shaft by hands so as to release ratches from a stop device such that the slide means, which is coupled with the monitor, can be inserted into the slide base so as to engage the ratches with the racks. As a result, the adjusting structure can be rapidly, accurately, and finely shifted to a proper height.
