Abstract: A quick release mounting apparatus and method for mounting a room air conditioner in a window opening that utilizes a quick release mounting which supports the weight of the outdoor portion of the air conditioner in a cantilevered condition and, in the event of an emergency, upon releasing a latch mechanism allows the air conditioner to topple rearwardly from the window opening exterior of the room to provide an escape route through the open window. A safety harness may also be provided that suspends the air conditioner unit a distance above the ground on the exterior of the room after it has been released to prevent it from falling to the ground.

Abstract: A magnetic holder for holding a non-magnetic sheet against a magnetically attractive surface contains a body having a first end and a second end, an upper surface and a lower surface. The body is formed from a first material having a first co-efficient of friction. The lower surface has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is joined to the second portion at a fulcrum line that defines an obtuse angle between the first portion and the second portion for preventing the first and second portions from engaging the magnetically attractive surface simultaneously. A magnet member is disposed on the second portion for magnetically coupling the holder to the magnetically attractive surface. A first gripping member is disposed on the second portion for frictionally gripping the non-magnetic sheet.

Abstract: A fixation member, made of a single piece of elastic material, used for mounting an object to a frame, and in particular for mounting an automotive lamp in a reflector housing, includes a first portion and a second portion interconnected by first spring means. The first portion comprise first catch means for engaging with a frame to which the fixation member is to be fixed after the first portion is pushed towards the second portion, while the first spring means pushes the second portion against the frame. The first portion furthermore comprises second catch means for engaging with corresponding catch means of the second portion when the first portion is pushed further towards said second portion against an increasing force of the first spring means, whereby the catch means retracts and thereby disengages from the frame. The second portion is provided with second spring means for abutting against the frame thereby pushing the second portion in a direction away from the frame.

Abstract: A kit of components for constructing and installing an awning and light support system to provide sun and weather protection to a window or door of a structure. Included therein are a pair of uniquely constructed bracket members having an L-shaped configuration with the respective free ends of the legs termination in an angled L-shape configuration, where the latter are used to removably secure an awning spar to support the awning material. Additionally, the bracket member includes a short horizontal arm, projecting from a first leg of the bracket member within the plane of the bracket member, from which may be secured a lighting fixture.

Abstract: A support for a pipe clamp includes a first body adapted to be mounted to a vertical surface and a second body pivotally connected to the first body for pivotal movement between a substantially vertical stored position and a substantially horizontal operative position. A first end of each one pipe clamp is secured to the first body. A second end of each pipe clamp is secured to the second body, when the second body is in the operative position.

Abstract: A display movable in two dimensions is disclosed, comprising a base having a track, a sliding member having a frame for supporting a display panel, a sliding bump disposed slidably in said track and on which said frame is connected pivotally and swings in a direction, and a pair of dampers disposed between the sliding member and the base. As such, a longitudinal position and a pitch angle of the display may be adjusted by moving the display in a longitudinal direction and swinging the display in a user's view direction.

Abstract: Compacting, fully enclosed, floored combination multi-antechamber and ramp system for emergency and civil defense use providing, when expanded, means of ingress and egress for the general population including the infected, wounded and handicapped to and from buildings or other folding structures via portals to which its adapter may be securely attached or retrofit while passing through a series of two or more antechambers so as to prevent spreading contamination and allow for various decontamination protocols to be conducted in separate chambers. Compacting is achieved by modularity in some embodiments, and folding in other embodiments, in both framed and panel versions, providing important advantages for transport, pre-positioning, storage, and warehousing.

Abstract: A drink holder system is described, wherein the drink holder system includes a base assembly operable to receive a drink container and a clamp assembly operably associated with the base assembly. The base assembly includes a C-shaped base member having an open end, a C-shaped retainer member having an open end, a plurality of leg members interconnecting the base member and the retainer member, and a plurality of selectively biasable prong members extending from a surface of the retainer member. The clamp assembly includes a bracket member operably associated with the retainer member, a first clamping member slidably received in the bracket member, and a second clamping member operably associated with the bracket member, wherein the second clamping member is operable to bias away from the first clamping member to permit the clamp assembly to selectively clamp onto a surface, such as an edge portion of a table or chair.

Abstract: Apparatus 10 discloses a device having means for mounting to a structure, such as a chain link fence, providing means for hanging a baseball bat 12 and a baseball helmet 14 therefrom. The support 10 has a general planar N-shape providing a left leg 30, right leg 32 and middle leg 34 therebetween with tail end 26, extending perpendicularly at the bottom of the left leg for a short distance forming a somewhat hook-shape, with the top of the right leg extending into a U-shaped hook-like end bat holder/rest 28 in a perpendicular horizontal plane. The left leg 30 and hook-like tail end 26 form means for attachment to a chain link fence 18, while the right leg hook 28 is spaced away from the fence and has an appropriate diameter to support a baseball bat 12 by the handle end with the helmet 14 then placed over the hook-like end, which forms in a substantially horizontal plane a support surface for the helmet.

Abstract: A blower support device for use on a utility vehicle includes a generally horizontally oriented platform and a vertically oriented support member. A mounting channel is provided and extends laterally away from the vertical support member for pivotably mounting the support stand to the mounting post for pivoting movement of the support stand between an access position and an operational position. A remote throttle control is also provided.
