  • Patent number: 11304895
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide swallowable devices, preparations and methods for delivering drugs and other therapeutic agents within the GI tract. Many embodiments provide a swallowable device for delivering the agents. Particular embodiments provide a swallowable device such as a capsule for delivering drugs into the intestinal wall or other GI lumen. Embodiments also provide various drug preparations that are configured to be contained within the capsule, advanced from the capsule into the intestinal wall and degrade to release the drug into the bloodstream to produce a therapeutic effect. The preparation can be operably coupled to delivery means having a first configuration where the preparation is contained in the capsule and a second configuration where the preparation is advanced out of the capsule into the intestinal wall. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful for the delivery of drugs which are poorly absorbed, tolerated and/or degraded within the GI tract.

  • Patent number: 11302432
Abstract: A medication infusion device comprises a memory means at a medication reservoir storing data identifying medication in the reservoir, a memory reading means at an infusion pump unit reads data from said memory means, and control means controls an infusion, based on data read by said memory reading means, to start the infusion when the medication is correct. A fluid connection detection means detects fluid connection of the medication reservoir to the infusion pump unit and transmits to control means whether the medication reservoir is connected. The control means controls an infusion in accordance with the transmission from the fluid connection detection means so that when there is no connection between the medication reservoir and infusion pump unit, the infusion pump unit will not be started or, if already started, stopped.

  • Patent number: 11291765
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a control method of a syringe pump, a syringe pump and a computer-readable storage medium. In the control method of the syringe pump, by determining whether a pressure of the first pressure sensor is less than a first pressure threshold and actively stopping an injection process when the pressure of the first pressure sensor is greater than or equal to the pressure threshold, it can be achieved to accurately determine whether a subject can bear an injection pressure, and to actively stop the injection and sound an alarm when a pressure in the infusion tube exceeds a bearing limit of the subject, thus ensuring personal safety of the subject.

  • Patent number: 11273259
Abstract: A medicament delivery device is disclosed having a housing, an actuation mechanism capable of delivering doses of medicament from a medicament container and arranged with a delivery member, a shield, a guard movable within the housing, wherein the guard is operably connected to the actuation mechanism. A protective cap is releasably arranged on the housing and having a shield remover. A blocking element on the guard is movable between a blocking position and a release position and has an engagement surface to engage a proximal area of the housing. The blocking element engages with a surface of the shield remover to retain the blocking element in the blocking position. The engagement surface causes a blocking of the guard from movement and removal of the protective cap enables a movement of the blocking element to a release position when the engagement surface engages the proximal area allowing the member guard to move.
