  • Patent number: 8887882
Abstract: A vibration damper with integrated level control includes a cylinder in which a hollow piston rod with a piston outfitted with damping valves is guided so as to be axially movable. The piston divides the cylinder into a workspace on the piston rod side and a workspace remote of the piston rod. The workspace on the piston rod side is limited at the end by a piston rod guide, and the workspace remote of the piston rod is connected to a pump space by at least one connection opening in a separating wall. The separating wall supports a hollow rod on which the piston slides and controls the pump operation of the vibration damper. A compensation space receives the damping volume displaced by the piston rod due to a dynamic load, and the piston rod guide is guided in the cylinder so as to be movable axially, and the connection opening in the separating wall is outfitted with a valve that opens in the direction of the work space remote of the piston rod.

  • Patent number: 8875853
Abstract: A hydraulic brake device includes a main body, a brake lever, a hydraulic rod, a connecting rod, a sleeve member and an elastic member. The elastic member has an assembling portion, a driving portion and a deformation portion. When a user actuates the brake lever suddenly and forcefully, the driving portion of the elastic member moves toward the hydraulic room; a pressure of hydraulic oil pushes the driving portion so as to indirectly force the deformation portion to deform and bend, so that the deformation portion and the driving portion slightly move toward the assembling portion; thereby, a volume of hydraulic oil is smoothly pushed into a brake caliper through a hydraulic pipeline, such that the user brakes a bicycle stably, smoothly and safely.

  • Patent number: 8869953
Abstract: A brake disc is provided having ribs arranged between two friction rings, extending radially with side walls standing essentially perpendicular to the friction rings to bound air cooling ducts. At least one of the side walls of one, two, three, or five ribs is inclined with respect to the perpendicular ribs to avoid squealing noise. At least one of the ribs having at least one inclined side wall has a thickness measured in the direction perpendicular to the side wall which differs from the thickness of the perpendicular ribs. When two, three, or five ribs having inclined walls are present, the angles enclosed between these ribs preferably are not all the same. Any imbalance resulting from this non-uniform distribution of ribs having an inclined side wall is essentially eliminated by adding material on selected perpendicular ribs.

  • Patent number: 8869958
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressurized hydraulic rotation damper intended for use on a multiwheeled vehicle. The rotation damper comprises an outer housing and a lid that together enclose a damping-medium-filled main chamber, which chamber is pressurized by a pressure tank and divided by a delimiting blade/arm into two volumes. The damping medium flows between the two volumes in a duct delimited by at least a first valve and a second valve. These valves throttle the flow between the volumes when the blade moves in an inward and outward motion respectively, starting from an intermediate position where the two volumes are substantially equal in size, to an outer position, in which the blade bears against or is placed close to the inner face of the outer housing. The first valve controls the flow for outward motions and the second valve is used to control the flow for inward motions to either pass through the first valve, through the second valve or through both valves.

  • Patent number: 8833870
Abstract: A triggering module selectively generates a triggering signal when a vehicle is stopped, a grade of a surface is one of greater than a predetermined positive grade and less than a predetermined negative grade, and a brake pedal position is greater than a predetermined position. A brake actuator provides brake fluid to a braking system when the brake pedal position is greater than the predetermined position. A brake releasing module, after the triggering signal is generated, begins releasing the brake fluid from the braking system a predetermined period after the brake pedal position reaches the predetermined position. A brake applying module selectively operates a brake fluid pump after the triggering signal is generated based on a comparison of a vehicle speed and a predetermined vehicle speed. The brake fluid pump provides brake fluid to the braking system when the brake fluid pump is operated.

  • Patent number: 8827380
Abstract: A hydraulic vehicle braking system having a primary braking cylinder to which the vehicle braking system is connected via a separating valve is disclosed. The vehicle breaking system includes slip control. A pedal path simulator is a spring-loaded hydraulic accumulator, which can be connected to the primary brake cylinder via a differential pressure controlled simulator valve. The simulator valve opens when a braking pressure in the vehicle braking system is greater than a primary braking cylinder pressure; otherwise, the simulator valve is closed. If the separating valve is closed during slip control, for example, the primary braking cylinder forces braking fluid through the opened simulator valve into the hydraulic accumulator upon actuation so that a normal pedal characteristic occurs at least approximately when the separating valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 8827051
Abstract: An actuator has planetary rollers disposed between a rotor shaft of an electric motor and an outer ring member fixed around the rotor shaft. The planetary rollers are rotated about the axis of the rotor shaft and about their own axes, thereby converting rotary motion of the rotor shaft to linear motion of the planetary rollers A helical groove is formed in the radially outer surface of each planetary roller in which a helical rib formed on the radially inner surface of the outer ring member is received. The helical groove has a pitch equal to that of the helical rib and a lead angle different from that of the helical rib. The amount of the linear motion of the planetary rollers relative to the amount of the rotary motion of the rotor shaft is determined by the difference in lead angle between the helical groove and the helical rib.
