  • Patent number: 10906570
Abstract: A parking brake control module using pneumatic logic to control a parking brake on a vehicle. The control module includes a brake pipe passageway, a reservoir passageway, a reservoir release valve; and an actuation cylinder vent valve. The control module applies or releases the parking brake based on pressures of the brake pipe and reservoir. A method uses pneumatic logic to control a parking brake on a vehicle. The parking brake is applied when the brake pipe pressure falls below a lower brake pipe pressure threshold and is released when the brake pipe pressure exceeds an upper brake pipe pressure threshold and the reservoir pressure exceeds a reservoir pressure threshold. A hold valve can allow an operator to manually prevent the release of the parking brake.

  • Patent number: 10900539
Abstract: A fluid damper is provided that has a compression damping profile that is favorable for damping the full range of compression forces, including low- and high-speed compression forces. While achieving this compression damping profile, the damper has a mode that does not require: (1) both low- and high-speed compression circuits; (2) the rider or a complicated control system to make adjustments to the compression circuit to achieve the different compression damping curves/profiles; and/or (3) the use of an inertia valve. The damping curve should be at least non-increasing and may be regressive across substantially the entire high-speed operating range of the damper.

  • Patent number: 10876589
Abstract: Provided is a shock absorber capable of smoothly changing a damping force in a low speed range of piston speed and of opening a main valve with a smaller differential pressure. An auxiliary valve (111) is provided on an upstream side of a main valve (27) in series with the main valve (27). Thus, the damping force in the low speed range of the piston speed can be smoothly changed. Further, the main valve (27) has a simply-supported structure in which an inner peripheral side thereof is prevented from being clamped and is supported in a cantilever state. Thus, the main valve (27) can be opened with a smaller differential pressure.
