  • Patent number: 10816055
Abstract: A damper bumper cap for covering the rod side end of the damper tube containing a piston rod seal and for retaining a dust cover on the damper tube. The cap includes a side wall positioned in contact with the damper tube, an end wall that extends radially inwardly over the piston rod seal, and an annular skirt that is spaced radially outward of the side wall. First and second groups of connection wall segments extend radially between the side wall and the annular skirt at different heights to define vent openings in the spaces between the connection wall segments in the first and second groups of connection wall segments. The vent openings thus provide a plurality of tortuous airflow paths through the cap at circumferentially spaced locations.

  • Patent number: 10814847
Abstract: A hydraulic control valve for an ATV or motorcycle takes hydraulic input from a hand brake lever as an input to a first cavity of the control valve with a movable piston therein, and from a foot brake lever as an input to a second cavity of the control valve with a movable piston therein, with the two pistons being linked. A bypass channel extends around the piston in the first cavity, which is closed off when the first piston moves longitudinally. The output of the first cavity hydraulically controls braking of the front wheel(s). The foot brake lever also pressurizes a direct line to brake the rear wheel(s) that doesn't go through the control valve.

  • Patent number: 10801574
Abstract: A vibration damping system employs a component having a directionally sensitive element thereon, mounted to an aircraft, which experiences dynamic excitation that induces bending deflection in the component that will reorient the directionally sensitive element. At least one tuned mass damper is mounted on the component in an orientation in which an internal mass of the tuned mass damper is moveable such that the tuned massed damper absorbs and attenuates at least a portion of the deflective motion, to thereby suppress bending deflection of the component in the particular axial direction and generally maintain the linearity of the directionally sensitive element.
