Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for pressure-based apparel image searching are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes determining an object of interest within an image displayed on a screen by detecting physical contact imparted by a user at a particular position on the screen corresponding to where the first object is located; quantifying the amount of pressure applied by the user via the physical contact; determining additional objects of interest based on the amount of pressure applied by the user by identifying objects that are located within a specified distance from the first object, and wherein the specified distance corresponds to the amount of pressure applied by the user; retrieving, from at least one electronic commerce website, images of products corresponding to the first object of interest and images of products corresponding to each of the additional objects of interest; and displaying the retrieved images on the screen.

The digital object identifier includes purchase data acquired by the second terminal device. The first terminal device then extracts and records the purchase data from the digital object identifier.

In use, at least one new order request is received from at least one of a plurality of external order channels. Additionally, the at least one new order request is transformed into a predefined format associated with a service provider system. The at least one first processor is of a vendor website and is configured to produce a web site including vendor product information and a widget on the web site. The widget on the web site, in response to a user input, has a vendor product added to a watchlist of a non-vendor third party. The widget on the web site updates the watchlist of the non-vendor third party. The at least one second processor of the non-vendor third party adds the vendor product to the watchlist in response to the widget on the web site. The at least one second processor updates the watch list in response to the widget on the web site. The at least one second processor sends the watchlist to a user.

Abstract: A system for viewing shopping information on a social networking platform is disclosed. At the social networking platform, the system receives a request from a user device corresponding to a first user of the social networking platform to view a list of a second user of the social networking platform. The list may include items offered for transaction on a network-based commerce server. In response to receiving the request from the user device, the system forwards the request to the network-based commerce server, and then receives updated information for at least one item on the list from the network-based comer server. Then, the system communicates the updated information received from the network-based commerce server to the user device.

Abstract: The present disclosure addresses systems and methods to facilitate recommending an item page. The system may receive a reference to the item from a first device that corresponds to a first person. The system may generate an item page that refers to the item. The generating of the item page may be based on the received reference to the item. The system may detect that a quantity of received comments directed to the item exceeds a threshold amount. The received comments may be received by the system from a plurality of devices that correspond to second persons other than a seller of the item. An address of the generated item page may be sent to a second device that corresponds to a seller of the item. The sending of the address may be in response to the system detecting that the quantity of the received comments exceeds the threshold amount.

In an embodiment of the invention, a method for collaborative co-shopping in e-commerce includes registering different shoppers in a database for collaborative co-shopping and selecting an item for sale in an e-commerce Web site on behalf of an online shopper. The method also includes determining from the database a location of the item in a brick and mortar store and detecting one of the registered different shoppers in proximity to the item in the brick and mortar store. The method yet further includes establishing a collaborative communicative session through the Web site over a network between the online shopper and the detected one of the registered different shoppers. Finally, the method includes transmitting messages regarding the item between the online shopper and the detected one of the registered different shoppers over the session.

Abstract: A chain of establishments provides an online ordering system that allows a customer to order virtual items or services from an online menu. When an order is placed, the customer receives an order code that may then be verified at one of many establishment locations at one of many times to initiate order fulfillment. When the order code is verified at a particular restaurant, a point-of-service (POS) system maps the virtual items associated with the order to actual, in-stock items or services that are available at the particular establishment. The order may then be fulfilled and provided to the customer. One advantage of the disclosed technique is that the customer may pickup the order from any desired establishment location, and is not required to select a particular location when the order is placed. Consequently, the customer is provided with streamlined and flexible order placement and fulfillment experience.

Abstract: A system and method of browsing electronic catalogs from a plurality of merchants. The electronic catalog system emulates the portability and usability of a traditional paper and ink catalog, especially when realized on a tablet or mobile device. Product data feeds from multiple merchants are collected and processed to build a product database. A server retrieves product data and serves it to users browsing the electronic catalogs. Users can request more detailed information and order products through the server and merchant websites. Users communicate with the server and merchant websites either through a standalone software application or via a standard web browser. Merchants are able to update the contents of their electronic catalogs through a merchant portal.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides enhanced group recommendation for selection of a service item with respect to a service class, and communicates the enhanced group recommendation to a sub-group of service users. Initial service scores for service items in the service class are generated by aggregating individual service preferences of sub-group members with respect to the service class. Group preferences for service items in the service class are then predicted using statistic data on previous service selections of sub-group members with respect to the service class. The initial service scores are aggregated with the predicted group preferences to generate of weighted service scores with respect to service items in the service class. One of the service items in the service class that has the highest weighted score is the group recommendation is communicated to the sub-group members.
