Abstract: A package for the application of a fumigant material includes a first sheet having a plurality of recesses for receiving a fumigant in pellet or tablet form in each recess and a second sheet one side of which is coated with an adhesive which is applied over the openings and surrounding surface area of the first sheet and adhered thereto by heat and pressure; the material of the sheet is a spun bonded polyester which permits ingress of moisture containing atmosphere. The release of the toxic gas produced by the moisture induced decomposition of the pellets takes place at a much higher effective rate than has been the case with previous packages for similar material.

Abstract: A method of inhibiting plant height growth without having any significant impact on flowering, which comprises applying to the above ground portion of the plant at a point in time when the plant is beyond the seed leaf stage, and at least at approximately at the first true leaf stage, a small but growth inhibiting amount of aminooxyacetic acid.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improved one-piece construction for taco shell holders, wherein, the holders are provided with a unique three legged support structure that allows the holders to be used in either a stand alone configuration or inserted into complementary recesses formed in a serving tray element specifically designed for use in combination with the taco holders.

Abstract: A controlled infusion container suitable for infusing substances into a liquid into which it is immersed includes a container for the infusible material fabricated from porous sheet material folded upon itself providing a reservoir for the infusible material. The distal edges are folded upon themselves to form a relatively small overlap portion which is then sealed to provide a centrally disposed opening. A handle is inserted into the opening extending therein and is fastened to the remaining open edge of the container retaining the infusible substance therein. By inserting the assembly into a liquid and gently providing for up and down and lateral motion a pumping action created by the handle provides efficient infusion of the infusible substances into the liquid.

Abstract: The improved container, obtained from a sheet of synthetic thermoplastic material, which is particularly suitable for eggs, is made in two portions (10,12) which are held together by rib (13) and can be folded down so that one closes on the other by means of pressure fastenings (14,22). It is provided with damper-ribs (25) which protect the eggs from breakage due to accidental impacts against the sides of the walls of the recesses (11) in which the eggs are placed and when portion (12) thereof is constructed as a lid without recesses it has ribs (34,35,36) in a particular location on the lid which confer satisfactory rigidity which is perceptible when the container is being closed or when it lies at the base of a stack of containers, for example on a display shelf.

Abstract: A case for packing small objects such as writing utensils, watches, lighters and the like. A lower part made from a deep-drawn foil material has vertical side walls and a centrally arranged trough-shaped depression and constitutes at least a partial structural support for the casing. Further support is provided by a relatively stiff bottom part. The lower part has a step shoulder along at least one edge and hinge recesses in the two side walls adjoining that edge and aligned with the step shoulder. A lid, preferably of a stiffer material, has a pair of opposed hinge pins along one edge, which hinge pins are received in the recesses as the said edge of the lid is supported at least in part on the step shoulder. The lower part may have additional step shoulders along other side walls to support the lid in the closed position thereof.

Abstract: This display case includes a base on which may be arranged a tray of elastic material sufficiently rigid to define, by means of ribs, cells for the storage of the articles to be displayed. When the tray is within the base and the ribs upwardly disposed the display case is set up for transporting the articles. Following inverting of the tray, display elements provided with fastening means in the form of the tongue may be fastened to the tray by insertion of the tongue into a slot which each rib defines on the opposite surface of the tray. Under these conditions the display case is set up for showing the articles. The tray display elements which are readily moved may be stored in a compartment forseen to this purpose. According to a variant the tray may be independent and provided with stiffening elements associated with at least two opposed edges thereof.

Abstract: A cassette tape player has an exterior case comprising a first structural member containing a major part of an internal mechanism including a device for driving a cassette tape, a second structural member engaged with the first structural member so as to be able to have an opening and closing movement, an elastic seal member provided so as to be put between the first and second structural members to seal up the exterior case when the second structural member is closed to the first member, and additional elastic seal members for sealing up portions of control buttons, adjusting buttons, jacks and so forth provided on both or one of the first and second structural members. The elastic seal members act to make the exterior case waterproof and dustproof.

Abstract: A package with spreader is hermetically sealed for storing relatively stiff spreadable materials such as butter until ready for use. The package includes a base having a relatively stiff spreader blade partially defined by a blade spread side surface and an opposed base supply side. The base also includes a deformable blister for holding the spreadable material. The blister is open through the blade to its spread side surface and extends outwardly from the blade on the supply side of the base. A peelable membrane initially seals the butter inside of the blister by being in sealing relation to the spread side surface of the blade. A portion of the membrane is manually peelable from sealing relation with respect to part of the blade and uncovers a portion of the blister to provide a butter delivery opening through which the butter can be forced by digital pressure on the outside of the blister. The butter can then be immediately spread using the sealing side surface of the blade.

Abstract: A can, particularly a cylindrical can for maintaining aroma comprises a bottom carrying the contents of the can, which bottom is arranged slidably within the can and which bottom is movable by means of pulling means 3, which are attached to a rotatable ring 5 which can be rotated in a plane perpendicular to the direction of movement, wherein the pulling force or tension exerted on the pulling elements 3 by a rotation of the rotatable ring 5 is directionally changed by a means 4 for changing direction into a tension or pulling force in the direction of the movement of the bottom 10.

Abstract: A wrap-around carrier formed of relatively thin paperboard reinforced with strands extending along the length of the carrier blank. In addition, the interlocking and overlapping bottom wall portions of the carrier are adhesively connected for further reinforcing. This design permits use of thinner paperboard without sacrificing the load carrying ability of the carrier.

Abstract: In a case for holding a magnetic tape cassette comprising a lid and an inner enclosure formed of a planar bottom wall portion having a pair of spool stops projecting inwardly from its inner side and edge walls formed along the periphery of the bottom portion excepting a part of it and extending perpendicularly to that portion, one of the edge walls being formed with a thumb recess, the inner enclosure is made by a mold with a gate inlet so that the bottom portion has a gate mark on its outer side at a point where that portion meets the edge wall formed with the thumb recess, at a right angle to it, and underneath the recess. The planar bottom portion and peripheral edge walls are molded together in one piece. The gate mark is located at the point on an extension of a line intersecting the midpoint of a straight line that connects the two spool stops, on the outer side of the planar bottom portion, and extending at right angles to the straight line.

Abstract: A shipping and storing support having recesses so constructed and arranged to ship and store selectively a plurality of articles having varying dimensions, the recesses having a plurality of internal contours for selectively receiving the articles to be retained therein by a frictional fit and wherein the plurality of internal contours of the recesses have substantially the same contour as a portion of the plurality of different sized articles adapted to be received frictionally in said recesses.

Abstract: A dispenser for tablets from a number of containers each mounted in an inverted position on a rotating support member. Each container is provided with a receiving cap having two angularly disposed passages therein. Each cap is rotatably mounted in a corresponding recess in the support member. The base of the recess is provided with an angularly disposed channel which when aligned with one passage of the receiving means permits a tablet to pass through to the user. The location and angular orientation of passage and channel when in registration results in the dispensing of a single tablet from a container through the support member.

Abstract: A postal tray to facilitate the sorting and distribution of mail in the form of a box-like configuration having an open top and an open front. The tray includes a plurality of removable partitions which when used forms a series of pockets within which is to be located mailing envelopes. An elongated rod is included within the tray with the rod being movable from an access position to a position preventing accidental dislodgement of mailing envelopes from the pockets. The tray includes brackets formed on the upper surface thereof to facilitate stacking with another tray. Also, each tray is provided with a pair of tie down brackets which are to be connected with an elongated member such as a bar to tie together stacked postal trays.

Abstract: A packing arrangement for bodies having circular cross-sections of unequal radii is disclosed. The radii of the bodies are proportional to one, two and three. Each body of one radius is adjacent to at least one body of each of the other radii. These bodies either are tangent to each other or at least two lines joining the centers of adjacent bodies will be at right angles to each other. The bodies may be cylindrical or spherical.

Abstract: A combination shipping and display container for packaged products is described as including a substantially open tray with a high back panel, a low front panel, and substantially open side panels connecting the front and back panels. The container includes a pair of integral divider flaps which extend between the back panel and the front panel and have a height which is substantially equal to that of the back panel. A top panel extends forwardly from the upper edge of the back panel to the front of the container and further includes a top panel extension which folds downwardly and includes means for establishing locking engagement with the container. The container is adapted to adequately protect a plurality of packaged products while providing substantial open display area in its front and side panels.

Abstract: A two-ply, book-style album (10) comprises an inside tray sheet (12) and an outside cover sheet (14). Sheets (12 and 14) are preferably formed of high-density polyethylene, and are thermally heat-sealed together by means of a peripheral seal (34) and spine rules (36). The spine rules (36) include longitudinal grooves (38) formed to a substantial depth into the front surface of the inside tray sheet (12) in order to define living hinges which provide a roundish, less square spine of more pleasing appearance.
