Abstract: Various complex formulations including the nacre form of calcium as a primary constituent are provided for dealing with a number of human ailments including insomnia, skin inflammation and itching, and anxiety disorders, and for increasing bone density. For bone density increase nacre is the main constituent, but the complex also includes sources of plant and/or animal collagen. The other compositions include nacre along with herbs to facilitate use of the nacre for treatment of various ailments or conditions.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing homogeneous dispersions of fluidizable bulk materials, wherein, in a first step, fluidizable bulk materials are blended with liquid to produce a raw dispersion and, in a second step, the raw dispersion is conveyed through a continuous enclosed dispersing apparatus by means of a forced-conveyance apparatus.

Abstract: An orally administered tablet comprising a therapeutic amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of amiodarone (e.g., an acid salt of amiodarone such as amiodarone hydrochloride) is described. Other ingredients include a disaccharide which is preferably a reducing disaccharide, pregelatinized starch, and an alkali metal starch glycolate. The tablet preferably also comprises at least one of the following: a) 2 to 6% by weight stearic acid, b) less than 1% by weight magnesium stearate, c) 2 to 25% by weight of wet binder, and d) less than 0.1% by weight of silica gel.

Abstract: The invention relates to substantially dust-free bleach powders that, when mixed with aqueous hydrogen peroxide, yield activated bleach compositions that exhibit improved thixotropy. The bleach powders comprise at least one de-dusting agent and at least one peroxygenated salt. The de-dusting agents, which are preferably present in an amount less than about 10% by weight of the bleach powder are inert, substantially hydrophilic compounds selected from alkylated esters, cyclic ethers and cyclic esters. The bleach powders also comprise powdered polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in an amount of about 1-5% by weight of the bleach powder. The bleach powders also comprise an ammonia source, e.g., an ammonium halide, diammonium phosphate, ammonium sulfate and mixtures thereof. Optionally, one or more hair conditioning agents, thickeners and desiccants may be added to the dust-free bleach powder.
