  • Patent number: 10743089
Abstract: Data are transmitted and/or received in a communication system by a communication participant, which has a communication device, a microprocessor, and an energy supply. The latter has an electrical variable that changes from an initial value when it supplies the microprocessor and/or the communication device with energy. The microprocessor encodes the data before transmission and/or decodes the data after reception, each using a computing cycle. When the electrical variable changes during the computing cycle, it is interrupted, preferably at any desired point. The encoding and/or decoding are carried out separately during the computing cycle in individual encoding phases in which the value of the electrical variable changes. Regeneration phases for regenerating the electrical variable are provided between and/or within the encoding phases. The duration of a regeneration phase is such that the value of the electrical variable approaches or reaches the initial value during the regeneration phase.

  • Patent number: 10679497
Abstract: Methods and systems for communicating between autonomous vehicles are described herein. Such communication may be performed for signaling, collision avoidance, path coordination, and/or autonomous control. A computing device may receive data for the same road segment from autonomous vehicles, including (i) an indication of a location within the road segment, and (ii) an indication of a condition of the road segment. The computing device may generate, from the data for the same road segment, an overall indication of the condition of the road segment, which may include a recommendation to vehicles approaching the road segment. Additionally, the computing device may receive a request from a computing device within a vehicle approaching the road segment to display vehicle data. The overall indication for the road segment may then be displayed on a user interface of the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10636282
Abstract: Security system devices are configured to retrieve historic first sensor data acquired from a protected area in response to receiving a threat alarm notification from a peer security system that is related to an area monitored by the peer security system, wherein the protected area is different from and geographically separate from the area monitored by the peer security system. The system devise determines that a security threat is indicated for the protected area by assessing the retrieved selection of historic first sensor data as a function of a relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area, wherein assessing the historic first sensor data without the function of the relation of the threat alarm notification from the peer security system to the protected area results in determining that the security threat is not indicated for the protected area.

  • Patent number: 10495755
Abstract: Automobile ultrasonic detection method and a sensor are provided. Specifically, a plurality of microphones in the sensor are controlled to work cooperatively, and the microphones respectively transmit or receive detection signals to or from the outside by adopting different working frequencies in a mutually spaced working time sequence; and in a detection cycle of a single microphone, the sensor completes multiple times of detection to improve the detection response speed of the sensor. Through specific drive and control of the electronic circuit unit on the microphones with different frequencies, the detection response speed of the ultrasonic sensor can be greatly improved. The sensor applied to an automobile also further improves the driving safety of the automobile.

  • Patent number: 10457145
Abstract: Driver misuse of an automatic braking system is determined by comparing the amount of time that a vehicle moves rearwardly until it is stopped, to the amount of time after the last actuation of a brake pedal and when the vehicle is stopped. If the ratio of no brake applied time to the total reverse time is greater than a predetermined value, the automatic braking system is considered to have been misused. Each misuse occurrence increments a counter that is stored in a non-transitory memory device.

  • Patent number: 10431093
Abstract: One general aspect of the present disclosure includes a method for warning of collision avoidance. The method may include receiving, with at least one server, position and movement information from a remote client, forming a motion model of the client including a predicted position of the client at a future time, and determining whether an object will be in a proximity of the position of the client at the time. If the object will be in the proximity of the position of the client at the time, the method may include determining a probability of a collision between the client and the object at the time. If the probability meets a threshold, the method may include transmitting a collision avoidance signal to at least one of the client and the object.
