Abstract: A hair clip that opens and closes using an elastic band. The band holds the jaws in an open position (which eliminates the need for the levers) and the band also urges the jaws together to close the clip (eliminating the need for a metal spring). The clip has a length of material that is attached either across its top or around it. Because the jaws have no attached protruding levers for opening and closing them (like the ones in a traditional ‘butterfly’ clip), the length of material lays relatively smooth across the top of the clip, which not only hides the hinge and elastic band (improving the aesthetic appearance of the clip), it makes it possible to decorated the material or add a companies logo thereto.

Abstract: A dispensing device, having a hollow nipple-shaped stopper configured to act as a one-way valve, for use as a hair dyeing comb is provided. The nipple-shaped stopper has an aperture at its tip end. The aperture opens toward outside when the operator compresses the plastic bottle and closes when the operator releases the plastic bottle. When the aperture is in its closed position, the stopper prevents the liquid hair dye already in the conduit from flowing back to the plastic bag inside the bottle. The purpose of using the stopper here is to keep the air out of the dispensing system in order for the operator to pump the liquid dye efficiently. The stopper and a small aperture at the bottom of the plastic bottle are replacing the one-way valve currently used in many hair dye-dispensing devices. With interchangeable comb heads, the operator can choose the proper comb head for his hair type and different application purpose.

Abstract: The application relates to a packaging system for a hair coloring product containing: i) at least one container (102) holding a composition comprising at least one hair colorant, said composition forming or intended to form a hair coloring product; and ii) at least one test device (20) designed to perform a patch test and incorporating a tube (21) delimiting an internal space containing a dose of said composition, the tube incorporating an outlet aperture (29) and being arranged to cause said composition to be expelled from said outlet aperture (29) in response to excess pressure within the internal space of the tube or when the latter is vented via at least one passage separate from the outlet aperture (29).

Abstract: An applicator enables a composition to be applied to the eyelashes and/or the eyebrows. The applicator may include an applicator member including a core defining faces, and rows of applicator elements connected to the core. The rows of applicator elements may include at least a first row including applicator elements connected to the core via a respective bend portion. The applicator elements in the first row may include at least one applicator element including a main portion extending substantially parallel to a face of the core underlying and facing the main portion. The main portion may be situated between the bend portion and a free end of the at least one applicator element.

Abstract: A molded plastic mascara brush having an elongated flexible core with multiple bristles projecting radially therefrom, and a shape-sustaining wire extending longitudinally through the core. The wire may be bendable, enabling a desired curvature to be imparted to the brush. Additionally or alternatively, with the core and bristles molded integrally and at least some bristles disposed in rows extending lengthwise of the core, bristles may be spaced around the core at unequal angular distances, and/or bristles of at least one row may decrease progressively in length, and/or bristles may be disposed in tandem zones that differ from each other in bristle density, and/or some bristles may be disposed in rows and others of smaller diameter disposed in clusters.

Abstract: A guide for trimming the beard of a person with a razor is disclosed. A mouth piece has a proximal end adapted for gripping with a mouth of the person, and a distal end. A rigid base is fixed at a proximal side thereof to the distal end of the mouth piece. The base further comprises a distal side, at least one peripheral edge connecting the proximal side, and in one embodiment at least one guide adjustment means. A pair of guide members each have a continuous outer side, an inner side, and at least one peripheral edge connecting the outer and inner sides. Each guide member further includes at least one adjustment post engaged with the at least one guide adjustment means of the base. The guide adjustment means is adapted to adjust the lateral position of each guide member with respect to the base.

The applicator head includes at least one helical applicator surface, the at least one helical applicator surface disposed about a hollow space, and a plurality of projections attached only to a section of the at least one helical applicator surface facing the hollow space. The plurality of projections depend into the hollow space.

Abstract: One embodiment of a head-switchable brush, comprises a brush head, a ferrule, and a brush handle. The ferrule has the head at one end and the handle at the other end. There is a piece of magnet attached to the brush handle and ferrule respectively where the two parts connect. The brush head can be switched and assembled with the handle easily whenever needed. The ferrule can be kept firmly on the handle by the action of the magnet inside. The head-switchable function of this brush kit can greatly enlarge the brush applying space and also avoid the material wasting since this brush kit has one handle only but with various brush head.

Abstract: A cosmetics container for storing and applying a cosmetic product is provided. In one embodiment, a cosmetics container includes a container body having an opening and a double walled cavity and a cap wherein the cap accommodates an applicator by way of a biasing means wherein said applicator includes a rod and an applicator element connected to a first end of the rod, and wherein said double walled cavity is closed by the rod when the applicator is mounted on the container.

Abstract: A makeup shield patch of material is curved at the top to fit under the eye. The front of the patch has a textured surface to catch falling eye makeup. The back of the patch has a weak adhesive which is gentle to the skin. Peel-off strips over the back adhesive surface are scored so that a narrow top peel-off strip or two end peel off strips are peeled off and the upper attaching portion adhered to the skin under the eye. The bottom part of the peel-off strip is left in place so the shield does not stick to or disturb any makeup on the cheek. A plurality of makeup shields are die-cut from a sheet of tape with a weak skin sensitive adhesive covered by scored peel off strips.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a pony tail holder including a friction member for more effectively engaging the strands of hair in the pony tail to prevent slippage of the pony tail holder during use. The pony tail holder may include a fabric ring having an annular area at least a portion of which comprises a tubular annulus around a central hole in which a pony tail is to be gripped by the pony tail holder, and an elastic core disposed within the tubular annulus of the fabric ring and extending around the central hole. The pony tail holder may further include a friction member woven into the fabric ring proximate an inner edge of the fabric ring such that at least a portion of the friction member is exposed through the outer surface of the fabric ring and engages the pony tail when the pony tail holder is disposed thereon, with the coefficient of friction of the friction member being greater than the coefficient of friction of the outer surface of the fabric ring.

Abstract: The present invention includes monofilament dental tapes for removing plaque and/or food debris from interdental spaces of a mammal, which dental tapes have a core body with an aspect ratio of greater than about 5:1 and a first cleaning surface and a second cleaning surface opposite the first cleaning surface, where at least one of the first and second cleaning surfaces includes a plurality of ribs disposed along the length thereof, and where the ratio of the width of the dental tape to the thickness of the dental tape is from about 4:1 to about 25:1.

Abstract: A hair clip for beauty shop, designed to clip hair to be cared and to maintain its shape. The hair clip comprises a finger installed to be able to rotate with the elasticity from an upper clip piece and so to support a pressing member toward a lower clip piece, and a soft pressing member installed to be connected to the upper clip piece and the finger. The hair clip can clip firmly hair positioned on the upper part of the lower clip piece and so prevent the hair from falling away from the hair clip in process of hair care.

Abstract: A dispenser includes a housing having a reservoir for containing a product. The dispenser includes a flow-through gasket with a concave shape top having a plurality of apertures. The dispenser provides a product delivery passageway through the flow-through gasket when the dispenser is in an open position. The dispenser prevents leakage by providing a seal with the flow-through gasket when the dispenser is in a closed position. In some examples, the flow-through gasket with the concave shape top may be made of a material having elastomeric properties.

Abstract: An applicator for applying a cosmetic to keratinous material is provided. The applicator is a single-piece molded unit formed of a single material and includes a slim, tapered head portion, having an arcuate configuration. The head portion comprises a support and at least two rows of projecting tines integrally molded therewith. The tines extend transversely away from one side of the support relative to the longitudinal axis of the head, the opposite side of the support being smooth and free from tines. The arcuate and tapered shape of the support facilitates the application of cosmetic product to the eyelash fringe including the shortest eyelashes located in the corners of the eye.
