Abstract: A multiple, disposable, biodegradable dental implement system in which a plurality of disposable, flat dental implements are formed from a large planar blank. Each dental implement includes a flat toothbrush head and a flat gum massager head formed on opposite ends of a flat elongated shank. Adjacent implements are formed in the blank by perforation lines that allow the implements to be individually detached from the blank just prior to use. In the preferred embodiment, each toothbrush head includes a plurality of concave ridges formed while the gum massaging head is made of a plurality of convex curved ridges complimentary with the concave ridges on the adjacent toothbrush. The planar blank is made of disposable paper and embedded with dry toothpaste or mouthwash which is activated by the user's saliva when used.
Abstract: An appliance for personal care, such as skin, dental or hair treatment, comprising a dispensing structure (30) for automatically dispensing a fluid. The dispensing structure (30) includes a fluid reservoir (10), a discharge opening (11) and a fluid drive structure (9, 12, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20) for driving the fluid to be dispensed from the reservoir (10) to and out of said discharge opening (11) in accordance with a dispensing rate/time profile (Sx). The fluid drive structure (9, 12, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20) is arranged for spurting at least once during said dispensing operation for squirting an additional quantity of the fluid to and out of the discharge opening (11) in addition to the fluid being dispensed in accordance with said dispensing rate/time profile (Sx).

Abstract: A method and tool for quickly drying and styling hair into a waved formation comprising an absorbent fabric covered hair clip that is secured about a plurality of scrunched sections of wet or damp hair. The absorbent material dries the hair more quickly by absorbing some of the moisture from the hair, the jaws help squeeze the moisture from the hair into the absorbent material covering, the softness of the absorbent material covering keeps the more rigid jaws from crimping the hair while drying, resulting in smooth continuous waves or curl.
Abstract: A pneumatic hairbrush for people and pets releases a powder mixture containing perfume, fragrance and/or other active compositions directly onto the hair or fur during brushing. The brush includes a flexible deformable membrane that carries brush bristles and has a plurality of apertures for delivery of the active composition and is fitted within a first opening of an internal cavity in a brush base. The powder mixture containing the active ingredient is poured into the internal cavity and disseminates over the flexible deformable membrane. A cover is inserted through a second opening. Delivery of the powder mixture is activated during brushing or through manually depressing, where the flexible deformable membrane is deformed and compresses the internal cavity causing the powder mixture to be pneumatically forced within the plurality of apertures of the brush bristles or around the outside surfaces of the bristles, and released.
Abstract: A method for coloring hair using a hair coloring foil includes the following steps: providing a hair coloring foil that has a front surface and a top edge, first and second hair gripping hook strips positioned on the front surface of the foil adjacent to and in parallel with the top edge. The foil is positioned around a handle of a comb such it is positioned between the first and second hair gripping hook strips. The handle is pushed into the hair of a subject adjacent the roots of the hair, such that the first hair gripping hook strips grip a first set of hair strands by the roots, and the second hair gripping hook strip grips a second set of hair strands. A coloring agent is then applied to the second set of hair strands, and the foil is folded to enclose the second set of hair strands.
Abstract: An applicator for applying a composition to eyelashes and/or eyebrows may include: a stem; and an applicator member at one end of the stem. The applicator member may include: a support that is made of plastics material, and that is elongate along a longitudinal axis. The support may be connected at a proximal end to the stem, and may include a free distal end. The support may include only two branches that extend along the longitudinal axis of the support. The branches may form a single opening therebetween, and together may define a greatest width of the support. At least one row of applicator elements may be disposed on one of the branches. The at least one row may include applicator elements which, over at least half of their length, extend other than over the opening.
Abstract: Devices, methods, and kits for making and using a graphic film laminate to decorate fingernail and/or toenail are provided. In one aspect, a thermally-curable vinyl-based pressure-sensitive self-adhesive nail cover/coating laminate is provided.
Abstract: A method of decorating a natural nail by with a substantially clear nail body having a nail attachment portion attachable to a natural nail and a nail extension portion which extends beyond a terminating edge of the natural nail when the nail attachment portion is attached to the natural nail. The nail body has a cavity formed therein solely within the nail extension portion, a volume of fluid disposed in the cavity, and at least one opaque decorative element suspended in the fluid so as to be visible through the nail extension portion of the nail body. The nail attachment portion is attached to the natural nail such that the nail extension portion extends beyond the terminating edge of the natural nail.
Abstract: Disclosed in this specification is a gripping device for dental floss strands, for dental brace wearers. The device comprises a shaft with a bore, a stem that reciprocates in the bore, and optional gripping feature on a distal end of the shaft to facilitate user handling. The stem carries a head through which the dental floss can be inserted. The dental floss is captured between the shaft and the head, eliminating the need for users to hold onto the dental floss manually.
Abstract: The invention generally describes a method an apparatus for removing dry or dead skin from an area to be exfoliated. More particularly, the invention provides a skin removal device having a flexible screen member and a first border member attached to the perimeter of the screen member and a method for using the same. The flexible screen member's surface has an abrasive coating and plurality of holes throughout the device used to exfoliate and remove dry or dead skin from the targeted area. The flexible screen member is placed over the targeted area and moved so that the dry or dead skin is removed from the area and passed through the flexible screen member to the surface not contacting the area.
