  • Patent number: 8776936
Abstract: Provided is an electric vehicle that is easy to start to move even when there is load applied, and which does not generate rotational resistance of the electric motor when the vehicle is push-walked. A connection/disconnection mechanism is provided between the electric motor (50) and the speed reducing mechanism (70) to switch transmission of the rotating driving force from a disabled state to an enabled state when the electric motor (50) rotates at a predetermined rotation speed or more. The connection/disconnection mechanism is a centrifugal clutch (40). The swing arm (12) is configured as a cantilever-type, supported only at the left side in the vehicle width direction, so that the centrifugal clutch (40), the electric motor (50), and the speed reducing mechanism (70) are arranged in this order, from the left side in the vehicle width direction.

  • Patent number: 8764033
Abstract: A utility truck with arched reinforcing rods incorporated into the base of a plastic truck during molding. The reinforcing rods are held in place in a mold at a predetermined distance above the mold's inner surface by spacers attached to the ends of the rods. Plastic is molded around the rods, with more plastic provided below the rods than above them, so that, when the plastic truck is removed from the mold and allowed to cool, the plastic will contract to a greater extent than the metal rods, causing the base and the reinforcing rods to bow upward, creating a convex arch in the truck's base. The arch provides an inherently strong, bridge-type structure that substantially strengthens the load-bearing capability of the truck, yet requires less reinforcing material than conventional supplemental chassis structures. In another embodiment, caster base mounts are also molded into the bottom of the truck, providing a utility truck with a unitary chassis structure.

  • Patent number: 8764032
Abstract: A shopping cart having a rear-facing seat for intermittent sitting and resting while shopping. The seat is in a barrier-less rear region of a rear open alcove, allowing a user to freely access the seat for sitting and to freely exit the seat for standing. The seat hingedly connects to the cart, allowing the seat to selectively lower in a down position for sitting and selectively swing upwards for accessing a storage area below the seat. The seat operationally connects to a brake, actuating the brake when the seat is in the down position, the brake engaging at least one wheel of the cart when the brake is actuated. The rear region of the cart has a pair of arms defining the alcove, each arm having a horizontal grab bar, providing support when a user grabs the bar upon rising from sitting.

  • Patent number: 8757639
Abstract: A multi-functional lightweight hunting accessory that provides a chair with adjustable back rest, storage for hunting gear and a platform for use as a commode. The chair transforms to become a game cart for transporting a game carcass across various terrain. The cart utilizes the half pipes of the chair base to create a trough which cradles a game carcass between its sides in an inverted position. Two wheels and an axle, which store in the container, assemble through the axle housing. A handle and handle extension stored in the axle housing combine to provide the hunter's towing point. A compact design utilizing a broad handle, low center of gravity and few parts produces a light weight and easily maneuverable game cart.

  • Patent number: 8752851
Abstract: An auxiliary device for a bicycle is disclosed. The auxiliary device includes a pair of thrusting members and a drive mechanism pivotally coupled between the thrusting members and the bicycle. The thrusting members positioned at two sides of the bicycle in a one-up-one-down manner, so that the thrusting members normally abut against a cyclist's back thigh muscles. The drive mechanism has two first pivots, a second pivot and a linkage system so as to make the thrusting members thrust the cyclist's back thigh muscles when the cyclist treadles the treadles. Thereby, the auxiliary device is useful to reduce burden bore by the cyclist's front thigh muscles and shank muscles, and can use the kinetic energy generated by the cyclist's back thigh muscles to enhance the cyclist's riding speed and endurance.

  • Patent number: 8727062
Abstract: Outer rear end surfaces of a pair of front frames are connected to corresponding inner front end surfaces of a pair of main frames with spacers being interposed therebetween. Accordingly, a width between the front frames is independent of a width between the main frames, so that maximum steerable angles of front wheels can be increased as much as possible without increasing a mounting pitch of the front wheels. The front frames can be arranged such that at least upper regions of the rear end surfaces thereof are located forward of the mount flange, and the engine unit and the flywheel unit are supported by the vehicle frames such that at least lower portions thereof overlap the vehicle frames in a side view, and the mount flange overlap the upper regions of the rear end surfaces of the front frames in a front view.
