  • Patent number: 10094315
Abstract: A rotational speed control apparatus for an engine that drives an air conditioning compressor includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit corrects a calculated value of a load torque of a compressor in accordance with a deviation between a rotational speed of the engine and a target rotational speed, as a changeover transition period control, in a changeover transition period. The electronic control unit also sets an execution period of the changeover transition period control such that the execution period in a changeover transition period from the stopped state to the driven state of the compressor is longer than an execution period of the changeover transition period control in a changeover transition period from the driven state to the stopped state of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 10094376
Abstract: A fluid end (16) for a high pressure pump has suction and discharge covers (170) which are generally cylindrical-shaped and have annular-shaped recesses (190) which are formed to extend into the inner ends (174) of the covers (170). The recesses (190) provide expansion grooves which extend from the inner ends (174) to define flex regions (192) which are concentric with an outward peripheries (180) of the covers (170). The recesses (190) extend to positions intermediately disposed between seal grooves (166) and outer ends (176) of the covers (170). Stress relief portions (196) of the recesses (190) are located between the seal grooves (166) and the outer ends (176). High fluid pressures in the fluid end (16) expands the flex regions (192) of the covers (170) to press an adjacent portion of the outward peripheries (180) of the covers (170) into port walls to provide metal to metal seals.

  • Patent number: 10082138
Abstract: A valve assembly for a diaphragm pump reduces leakage while providing good flow-through by including shaping of the seat and/or the valve that increases the elastic tension between the valve and seat in outer regions of the valve assembly, thereby providing a more optimal tension over the entire valve. In embodiments, outer regions of the seat are more steeply sloped upward than inner regions while the valve is substantially uniform in slope. In other embodiments, valve outer regions are less steeply sloped upward, or more steeply sloped downward, than its inner regions, and the seat is substantially uniform in slope. A vertical cross section of the seat and/or valve can include continuous curvature and/or discrete changes in linear slope. In some embodiments, two linear slopes are included in the vertical cross section of the seat or valve. The pump can be a multi-chamber pump.

  • Patent number: 10077770
Abstract: A portable air compressor includes a box and a compressor unit accommodated in the box. The compressor unit includes a main frame, a cylinder fitted with a piston body, a motor, and a transmission mechanism. The motor drives the transmission mechanism to have the piston body conduct reciprocating motion in the cylinder to produce compressed air, which is transferred to an air storage container. The cylinder and the main frame are integrally formed of plastic. The cylinder defines an exit hole communicating with an inner space thereof. A metal seat is integrally formed at the cylinder. The central hole of the metal seat communicates with the exit hole of the cylinder. A plug is urged by a compression spring to seal the central hole of the metal seat. The metal seat can endure high temperature within the cylinder to ensure air-tightness between the plug and the metal seat.
