  • Patent number: 9726162
Abstract: A submersible, water circulation system for enclosed tanks such as used by municipalities, fire districts, and industries. The system includes a driving unit having a shell extending along an axis with a pump supported within the shell. The shell has at least one inlet and at least one outlet and is positionable on the floor of the tank with the outlet facing upwardly. The upwardly facing outlet is preferably a thin, upwardly facing, elongated slot and creates a thin, substantially planar discharge of water therethrough that is directed upwardly toward the surface of the body of water. The substantially planar discharge presents a very large surface area for its volume and induces water adjacent the outside of the shell of the driving unit to move upwardly with it toward the surface of the body of water.

  • Patent number: 9719528
Abstract: In a bubble lift system, a pressurized chamber at an upper end portion of a riser pipe applies a pressure to an upper portion inside the riser pipe to suppress an increase in the volume ratio of bubbles to a fluid mixture rising inside the riser pipe in a shallow water region. The upper end of the riser pipe is not opened to the atmosphere but is inserted into the pressurized chamber under a high pressure to thereby prevent expansion of the bubbles and gas. In addition, a deaerator for discharging bubbles separated by a centrifugal force is also provided in a middle portion of the riser pipe in a shallow water region to distribute the bubbles more evenly inside the whole riser pipe. The bubble lift system and a bubble lift method thus provided are efficient and employable even in a deep water region.

  • Patent number: 9714661
Abstract: A vacuum pump which, among others, has a lubricated ball bearing for supporting a rotor shaft of a motor, a bearing holder for holding the lubricated ball bearing, a first labyrinth seal provided between a motor arrangement space and a bearing arrangement space, and a balance adjustment member installed at a position of the rotor shaft to face the bearing holder and used for balance adjustment of a rotating body. A second concave and convex part to be fitted to the first concave and convex part forming the first labyrinth seal. By reducing a gap of the bearing arrangement space, the space in which the oil vapor is filled is reduced. Therefore, a moving amount of the gas, and thus, the decrease in the base oil of the lubricant can be suppressed, thereby extending the lubricating life.
