  • Patent number: 10285159
Abstract: Diversity enhancement for multiple carrier systems is disclosed which includes generation of a multiplexed multicarrier radio frequency (RF) signal having N carriers organized to be accessed at a rate of one carrier access per multicast channel (MCH) scheduling period (MSP) per carrier of the N carriers, thereby requiring N accesses per MSP duration across the N carriers. The method may also include the base station transmitting the RF signal to a user equipment (UE). In other aspects, the diversity enhancements include the UE receiving a multiplexed multicarrier RF signal having N carriers. The UE may access the N carriers by performing one carrier access per MSP per carrier of the N carriers, thereby performing N accesses per MSP duration across the N carriers.

  • Patent number: 10285076
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and device for controlling a Downlink Data Notification (DDN) message, which can reduce the DDN messages that occur while a user equipment transits from an active (ECM-active) state to an inactive (ECM-idle) state. During a bearer activation procedure according to a request from a user equipment, the DDN message control apparatus of the present disclosure sets a DDN flag value to a predetermined value when uplink data is received. When a DDN message is received from outside, the apparatus identifies the DDN flag value and stores the DDN message in case that the DDN flag value is identical with the predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 10237032
Abstract: In mixed numerology case, the performance of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) can be improved by multiplexing PDSCH of one numerology with the channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) of the other numerology and use of an advanced receiver. However, due to the interference from the PDSCH of the other numerology, the channel estimation for the underlying UE can be impacted if the CSI-RS is corrupted. An adaptive CSI-RS configuration can be deployed where the CSI-RS density is adapted based on the PDSCH transmission of the other numerology. Namely, based on the scheduling decision of the other numerology, the CSI-RS density can be changed. Thus, the impact on channel estimation can be minimized when the data channel of one numerology is multiplexed with the CSI-RS of the other numerology.

  • Patent number: 10181887
Abstract: A method, and a device, for reporting channel state information (CSI) in a wireless local area network system are discussed. The method according to one embodiment includes receiving, by a responding station, a sounding Physical layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) from a requesting station; and transmitting, by the responding station, a CSI report to the requesting station, the CSI report including CSI report information in a form of angles representing a beamforming feedback matrix that is estimated by the responding station based on the sounding PPDU. If the sounding PPDU is received via a plurality of contiguous channels, the beamforming feedback matrix is estimated based on all of the plurality of contiguous channels. If the sounding PPDU is received via at least one of a plurality of non-contiguous channels, the beamforming feedback matrix is estimated based on only one of the plurality of non-contiguous channels.

  • Patent number: 10129412
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and methods are provided for establishing and supporting a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) call from one computing/communication device to another. The system receives a call offer from a caller, forwards it to the callee, and identifies to each party multiple candidate relay entities for relaying their digitized voice communications. Each device binds with one or all relays, and either or both of them select one of the relays to use in a relay mode of operation of the call, if necessary. One or more of the relays inform the devices of their external network addresses, and each device passes its (internal and external) addresses to each other, through the system. The devices attempt to establish a direct connection to conduct their call in a peer-to-peer mode of operation, but may dynamically switch between peer-to-peer and relay modes as necessary.

  • Patent number: 10098208
Abstract: A load control system may include a load control device for providing power to an electrical load and a control device that may send instructions to the load control device for providing the power to the electrical load. The control device may communicate with the load control device using a link address assigned to the load control device. The load control device may provide power to the electrical load in a manner that causes the electrical load to indicate the link address assigned to the load control device. The link address may be identified by a user or a user device. The identified link address may be associated with a load control device identifier that may identify a physical location of a load control device that is assigned the link address. A user may control a load control device at a physical location by sending instructions via the link address.

  • Patent number: 10084705
Abstract: The communication of a network message from a first network node in a particular location to a second network node in a manner that the second network node determines that the network message was processed the network message in the particular location. For instance, the particular location might be a geographic location or a network topographical location. The proof of location is accomplished by using a signed proof of location included by the first network node within the network message. The network message is then received by the second network entity. The second network entity then uses the signed proof of location data structure as input to a process that determines that the network message was processed at least based on the signed proof of location data structure.
