Abstract: A method for machining a selected part with a machine tool, comprises obtaining a master part replicating at least a portion of a geometry of a selected part. The master part is loaded in a machine tool. A signature of the machine tool is defined by measuring at least dimensional data of the master part relative to the machine tool, the dimensional data being limited to a selected-part-specific working volume substantially smaller than a complete working volume of the machine tool. The machine tool is certified as being within tolerances to machine the selected part within the working volume, using the dimensional data of the signature. The selected part is machined from a workpiece with the machine tool.

  • Patent number: 10802471
Abstract: A technique is provided to enable low-cost control of amounts of fertilizer applied. A control device controls a currently used agricultural machine that applies fertilizer to a crop while traveling through a field. The control device includes a growth data receiving unit, a fertilizer application amount value calculator, and a speed signal generator. The growth data receiving unit receives growth data that is obtained by sensing a growth condition of a crop at each location in the field. The fertilizer application amount value calculator determines an amount of fertilizer on the basis of the growth data. The speed signal generator generates a speed signal to cause the agricultural machine to travel at a speed corresponding to a variable value of an amount of the fertilizer to be applied at each location in the field.

  • Patent number: 10739733
Abstract: Sensor information is received. Based at least in part on at least one state detected using the sensor information, an expected value for automatically performing an action associated with a device controlled by a device controller system is evaluated as compared to an expected value for potentially performing, subject to a user interactive qualification, the action associated with the device controlled by the device controller. • Patent number: 10688774
Abstract: Certain examples described herein relate to the preprocessing of object data for the manufacture of a three-dimensional object. In one case, the object data represents at least a first and a second object portion, the first object portion being associated with a first production material composition and the second object portion being associated with a second production material composition. The first and the second object portions may be arranged such that they comprise a contiguous interface. In certain described cases, the object data is modified by modulating the contiguous interface. Said modulating the contiguous interface may comprise modulating data defining at least one of the first and the second object parts such that a portion of at least one of the first and second production material compositions extends into object space occupied by a respective one of the second and first object parts. The resultant modified object data may be used to manufacture the three-dimensional object.
