  • Patent number: 9189595
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable storage medium are provided for analyzing data from a component separation/mass spectrometer (CS-MS), wherein an intensity peak is determined, with an area thereof determined using an integration procedure, in each two-dimensional data set. The intensity peak indicates a sample component, and the area thereof indicates a relative quantity of the sample component. An integration procedure determines the area of selected peaks of a first portion of the two-dimensional data sets associated with a first sample component, and is applied to the intensity peaks of a second portion having the areas thereof not determined by that integration procedure, to adjust the relative quantity of the first sample component in the second portion samples relative to the relative quantity of the first sample component in the first portion samples. The re-integration may also involve determining whether a second sample component is indicated by the intensity peak.

  • Patent number: 9109936
Abstract: A measuring device electronics comprises a processor and two clock signal generators. One clock signal generator serves for producing a working clock signal, and also for producing a reference clock signal which is dependant on the working clock signal. The other clock signal generator, serves for producing a second reference clock signal, which is independent of the working clock signal. Based on the two independent reference clock signals, a frequency difference, can, to the extent that such is present, be ascertained during operation of the measuring device electronics or of the measuring device formed therewith. The frequency difference, represents a difference between the instantaneous clocking frequency of the first reference clock signal and the instantaneous clocking frequency of the second reference clock signal, and, in this respect, represents a measure for a deviation of an instantaneous clocking frequency, from the nominally predetermined clocking frequency, of the working clock signal.

  • Patent number: 9110448
Abstract: In a method for processing a point cloud using a computing device, a straight line fitted by the point cloud comprising border points is determined as a benchmark line. An inflection point in the point cloud of the benchmark line is determined. If the vertical distance of the inflection point is not greater than the preset filtration value, needless border points in the point cloud are deleted and a remainder point cloud is obtained. If the vertical distance between the inflection point and the benchmark line is greater than a filtration value, the point cloud is divided into two sub-point clouds, and the one sub-point cloud having border points less than the preset number is deleted, and the other sub-point cloud is set as a remainder point cloud.

  • Patent number: 9101712
Abstract: Methods for improving the accuracy of occlusion sensor baselines in an infusion pump are described. An infusion pump includes logic for making an antiratchet decision for determining whether a new administration set was installed after there has been access to the administration set. If so, then new occlusion sensor baselines are established. If not, then the current baselines are maintained. The antiratchet decision logic may depend upon the value of a baseline delta equal to a difference between the upstream sensor signal and the downstream sensor signal. In another aspect, an upstream occlusion sensor baseline is shifted in correspondence with decreases in the upstream sensor signal occurring while a pumping mechanism of the infusion pump is not operating to compensate for sensor signal drift.
