Abstract: A level gauge carries out a tracking method with consideration of the mobility of the echoes. For this purpose, mobility values of echoes of an echo curve are determined and the expectancy function, by means of which it is determined whether a certain echo needs to be assigned to a certain track, is determined with consideration of at least one of the mobility values. In this way, the correct allocation of an echo to a certain track may be realized with high reliability.

Abstract: This invention provides new methods and apparatus for rapidly analyzing single bioparticles to assess their material condition and health status. The methods are enabled by a resonant cavity to measure optical properties related to the bioparticle size and refractive index. Refractive index measurements are useful for determining material properties and biomolecular composition of the bioparticle. These properties and composition are dependent on the health state of the bioparticle. Thus, measured optical properties can be used to differentiate normal (healthy) and abnormal (diseased) states of bioparticles derived from cells or tissues. The methods are illustrated with data obtained from a resonator with a gain medium.
Abstract: A method for checking the plausibility of a torque of an electric machine, calculated on the basis of a machine model, in which a first value of an electromagnetic power of the electric machine is determined from the calculated torque and a rotational speed of the electric machine. Stator current components and stator phase voltage components are calculated from the stator currents and the stator phase voltages with respect to a reference system, which is fixed in relation to the stator. A second value of the electromagnetic power of the electric machine is determined from the stator current components and the stator phase voltage components. If a deviation of the first value of the electromagnetic power of the electric machine from the second value exceeds a predefined power threshold value, the torque of the electric machine, calculated on the basis of the machine model, is classified as implausible.

Abstract: A motion analysis device includes two posture angle sensors attached to a measurement object at locations distant from each other, a data acquisition section, a posture angle correction section, and a deformation amount calculation section. The data acquisition section acquires data of a first posture angle and a second posture angle respectively detected by the posture angle sensors. The posture angle correction section corrects a difference between the first posture angle and the second posture angle after starting a motion of the measurement object in accordance with a difference between the first posture angle and the second posture angle before starting the motion of the measurement object. The deformation amount calculation section calculates a deformation amount of the measurement object based on a difference between the first posture angle and the second posture angle corrected by the posture angle correction section.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling of ski vibration consisting an accelerator/actuator sub-system attached to the ski and a adaptive vibration control application residing in the user smart-phone and communicating with the accelerometer/actuator sub-system over Bluetooth radio interface is disclosed. The adaptive vibration control application extracts vibration frequencies and amplitudes from signal received from an accelerometer, separates such frequencies according to their types—bending or torsional, and after thresholding and scaling by the ski calibration parameters and by the user desired ski response, apply such signal to the control loop and consequently to the actuators to provide vibration dampening force. In one embodiment, such actuators are attached to the ski, while in another embodiment such actuators are embedded into the ski.
